Overture Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 yeah she's a sensei also (she's a doctor), but afterwards nearing the end litchi's telling her assistant to go to "han-sensei", that person i predict is most likely arakune This is getting more interesting... >_> Damn it! >_< I really wanna play this!
JinSaotome Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Did you catch the convos between Litchi and Hakumen/V13?
Bloodcrave Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 i did, but but my japanese isn't that good yet i don't really understand what they're talking about :X
Goldenrody Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5337557 Some Litchi combos, lol at Litchi/Taokaka's quotes for each other
Bellevar Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Please can someone upload these vids on youtube? http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5325202 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5337557
Jthan Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Has anyone found some good uses for 214+(A/B/C)? Yesterday I was against a Noel and she used distortion drive from about half screen. The mantenbou was set right behind her, so i did 214+B and it was beautiful, she jumped right out of the line of fire to start a combo right behind Noel. Anyone else found good uses for this move?
Gorehound Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 I found out something cool. Litchi can also string a 2B into a 6A overhead attack, and the 2A Mantenbou hit has farther reach. Here is another thing about the 6A after a 2B. -It seems you can do a D Mantenbou call back attack or 41236+D Whirlwind Mantenbou since it thinks Mantenbou is in place.
Goldenrody Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Please can someone upload these vids on youtube? http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5325202 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5337557 I upped the 2nd video on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcTGn3NHVRo The 1st video is longer than 11 minutes and I don't have an OG Director's Account
Jthan Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 -If she does an attack where her Mantenbou is off her hands like 6C or 6A, she can do her Mantenbou-less Chain Specials for that quick second. Here is another thing about the 6A after a 2B. -It seems you can do a D Mantenbou call back attack or 41236+D Whirlwind Mantenbou since it thinks Mantenbou is in place. I guess alot of Mantenbou-less moves can be done during 6A 6C and 3C. I've found 2C with Mantenbou equiped to be a fairly good anti-air normal, if the distance is right. Anyone found any solid air combos?
Climhazzardous Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5351090 Nice Litchi combo at the end of the first round and at the beginning of the next round (it's a throw combo). Just a really nice Litchi vid in general actually.

kousaka Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 anyone have a combo for CH j.C(with staff)? all i've been able to get out of it is running sj.B, dj.BC edit: any followups for throw and back throw without staff? edit2: or anything after air throw with/without?
Goldenrody Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5398459 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5398791 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5398929 TRF videos, probably the best Litchi that has appeared in videos so far, lots of new combos anyone have a combo for CH j.C(with staff)? all i've been able to get out of it is running sj.B, dj.BC edit: any followups for throw and back throw without staff? edit2: or anything after air throw with/without? I think without the staff, you can follow up both forward and back throw with j.b, but it's much harder with forward throw. Might even need a sj.b Airthrow actually loops into itself infinitely, but it's very easy to throw break it. I haven't experimented with following it up with anything else
Overture Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I was wondering....you can run towards the enemy while the staff is active (doing the spining attack)? to combo them with it? (just like bridget's yoyo)
deviousj Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 anyone have a combo for CH j.C(with staff)? all i've been able to get out of it is running sj.B, dj.BC edit: any followups for throw and back throw without staff? edit2: or anything after air throw with/without? There's a bunch of stuff on the Japanese BBS. I can't read Japanese, but most of it is pretty self-explanatory. Japanese Litchi Thread 2 Opening Post CH j.C combos(all of these work with 6B CH combos as well) CH j.C>land>dash B>jB>jC>djB>jc CH j.C>air dash>jB>jC>land>sjA>jB>jA>jB>djB>jC CH j.C>land>dash 41236D~A>2B>2C>Air combo Throw Combo Back throw>41236D~A>2B>2C>Air Combo(This one was in the new TRF vids) Air Throw Combos Air Throw>jB>land>623D>whatever Air Throw>jC>land>2C>41236D~A>whatever Air Throw>land>2B>2C>air combo As far as I know though, you can't really follow up throws with anything except maybe like a super jump B or something if you don't have a staff. I was wondering....you can run towards the enemy while the staff is active (doing the spining attack)? to combo them with it? (just like bridget's yoyo) You can. I think the TRF Litchi does it a couple times in the vids, but I don't remeber. The Japaense BBS post also has some combos for this, but they seem pretty situational. It's probably best just to use it to cover your dash-in. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5398459 TRF videos, probably the best Litchi that has appeared in videos so far, lots of new combos Yeah, the new TRF vids have a pretty good Litchi. Anyone playing her right now should definitely check them out. Anyways, can anyone confirm something for me? I probably hit up FFA this Monday, but I kinda want to see if this is actually possible. There's supposed to be some random character specific 6C>2C loop you can do. It's supposed to work on Tager, Rachel, and some others that I forgot about.
Pervert_Q Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 useful combo after CH 6b, or j.C 5C, j.b,j.c <jc> j.b,j.c 2.d some people might say after CH 6b,j.c that it might be better to do srk.d and combo into rekkas but I find the above to be overall more useful for mixup since it places the matenbou very close to them depending on what they do ( and it does really good dmg ). So after that if you had 50 percent meter you could activate punching bag super and go from there.
Pervert_Q Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 if you have matenbou and you throw your opponent you can chain throw into srk.D and then SJ.b, <jc> C. 236.b,236.c timing seems a little tight, but nothing rediculous.
kousaka Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 i've found that the air combo after throw>srk.D isn't worth it it is better to let staff land and activate staff punching super for oki but of course it is useful if you need just that bit of damage to finish them
Shining Aquas Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 About to start playing Litchi I think (was having hard time between this and Bang), and have a question? I like the idea of using the "punching stick" as an oki skill, but for instances where Litchi is cold (or specifically, lacking heat), what would be a good oki method?
kousaka Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 i've been trying to work out setups that would leave the staff in good position for the punching stick super but most of her combos end with an aerial thats techable instead i've discovered that after green>white at the end of air combos, the tech point is right above where you land giving u a chance to jump air grab if they tech if they don't tech u can do staff callback followed by mixup as they get up if they get hit by a successful air grab then i call staff back as i land and pressure lots more to come btw the first post needs to be updated i think the pole vault moves while staff is placed has a different input at the japanese machine we have here in toronto canada. it's 63214+A/B/C (can be done air/ground) 2C with staff is great for anti air as you can hit confirm with tsubame(dp) dash 5B jc>aerial
