Your combo is fine BD. CS ender is fine after a big ol' combo in blood kain, but if you don't you can get 22c ender(s). I actually like the cross-under mixup quite a bit, messes with a lot of wakeup options for the opponent. I actually don't see a lot of double BE blood kain combos (?), I would think it's odd when not fatal as well.

Real talk, after you land BE and the end of the combo and you have 100% bar: you better gold burst DBD, and then on their way down you 5b blood kain again and tech chase with 6D. Srs bzns.

Mmmm hmmm hmmmm. Guess you learn something new every day. I never once considered opting out of a Carnage Whopp in favor for a double belial ender. I've never seen a double belial Blood Kain video, you see. All of the Blood Kains I try to pull are pretty much just clones of random BK nico video vids.

Ah well. Guess this throws my project Blood Kain thingie for loop. Back to the drawing board.

Woa. Yeah. The meter difference is pretty damn hugified. Like really really. I'm not sure if I'm getting the most out of it, though. HALP.

I'll use back throw as the example.

This is what I do off a back throw blood kain that ends with Carnage Slicer.

4B+C>66Dd>6Dd>2+9>JD>7>JD>214JC>66DD>5D(1)>214B>214JD>(66)>5D>CARNAGE

-5700 damage

-Leaves you with around 7 meter.

-a good chunk of life over the double berial

What I've been doing for the Heat route off a back throw is -

4B+C>66Dd>6Dd>2+9>JD>7>JD>214JC>66DD>2+9>JD>7>JD>214JC>6DD>9>623D>214JC>214JD

-4900 damage

-75 heat

-less life gain then the Carnage Guillotine ender

Is this anywhere near good? I'm not sure how to properly implement what you said, ya see, so I had to improvise some.

Do let me now how to devise a better Blood Kain Double Belial ender pattern, because I'd prefer to do the best possible, whether I'm whacking the foe for heat or damage.

Well, anyway. By the teeth of hell, this is some good stuff. Why, if I'd known any better I would have gone this path in the first place, seeing as I tend to value heat over a bit of life and damage.

Still, I do think Carnage Cruncher in Blood Kain mode heals you by quite a bit, and if you don't use it you're missing out on a lot, yet.....ahhh, hang it. Thanks man.

Oh and by the by.

Ragna's 2D has better proration

Yeeee-haaawwwww!!!!!

I was thinking it should have gotten some kinda upgrade, what with it no longer removing primer OR being able to combo off of minus counter hit or meter.

poor man's version which does a little less damage, but makes up for it for being generally more agreeable/practical on the cast

5175 damage, honestly feels more worth it, you can combine the two and do two 6D's into a GH but you don't get double belial meter gain along with the health gain from the first setup, so overall if you CAN do the 1st one go for it, if you're not confident(online, tv lag, etc.) just do the 2nd

Universally, the ender is pretty much the same, if you really want to CS/DBD you can, you just have to do it earlier

two random questions here.

1. i cant combo off carnage scissors. 6A always whiffs, why?

2. cant combo off gauntlet hades. if i delay the 214D follow up too long they tech too early b4 the 5B connects. if i do it too early the just hit the ground b4 5B comes out.

is it just a timing issue?

CS is probably just a timing issue. Otherwise don't put too many hits before hit, or it won't combo right.

GH(2) should work fine, could be a timing issue. You *CAN* delay it too long, but the 5b will still land, the problem is just the 6a won't work because some characters will be too high. Practice and experience etc.

Random question: Can some1 tell me what does ragna say during his distortion and astral in both JP and ENG plz . And what he said when he fight with Noel. I heard something like " you can't ...... bitch..... you can't..... "

( And if there is a link show what every character say with sub or something like that , Can you guys give me ? :D )

I know the English ones:

Carnage Scissors: "Carnage... Scissors!" or "Carnage scissors! I'll devour ya!"

Blood Kain: "Blood Kain!" or "Unleashing Armagus!"

Devoured by darkness: "Let darkness consume you! Shatter!" or "The END! Peace out!" (I know, it's weird)

Black Onslaught: "BLACK ONSLAUGHT! BLACK ZAGGUM (or SABBATH, not really sure)! NIGHTMARE RAGE! DESTRUCTION!" or "Let me show you, the power of the AZURE! I'll show you, that there is no Hell, just Darkness! This is the power of the Azure..."

The Noel thing: "You ain't catchin' me, stupid, you ain't catchin' me, bitch!"

EDIT: Corrected the" vs. Noel" line.

In JP:

Carnage Scissors: "Kaaneijii....Shiizaa~!" and "Kaaneijii Shizazu, Kuwarero!"

Blood Kain: "Burado Kaiin!" and "Jutsushiki Kaihou!"

Devoured By Darkness: "Yami Ni Kuwarero,Kudakachie!" and "Owari da! Abaiyo!"

Astral: Bururaku Onusuratto, (I have no idea what this line is honestly. does sounds like "Bururaku Zaguru!") Naittomeiru Reijii, Destruction! and "Misetearuyo, Aoi no chikarou! Kyofu, oshiteiaru... Jigoku no nee yo arudawa mudakeida, kore ga, Aoi no chikara da."

and I think the JP version of that line with Noel is

"Tsukamada kaiyo baka!" dont know the rest I hope that helps a bit.

and all of these lines are in Gallery Mode on the game, you just have to press R1 or RB to go to the sound section and You don't have to unlock anything, the voice clips are all there.

Btw Gamma i know that these lines are in Gallery mode...but you know. i just learnt English and i had problem with my listening skills so i can't hear what they say. I need a site where they write down the words :D ( if there is 1 )

Depends on which character you're playing against. The matchups between Ragna and zoning characters are different for each zoning character, although they are not radically different from each other.

The general strategy is to never be hasty, since haste becomes waste ([/cheesy] haha), since they can simply punish you for some good damage if you make a slip-up. You'll want to bait certain moves for each character, punish accordingly, and once you're in you want to maintain that close distance.

However, this is just an opinion about how to approach a zoner matchup. Since matchups are debatable beyond knowledge, it's a good idea to take my ideas with a grain of salt.

Lambchop's j.d, if you're the right distance from her, you can run under it and 6A her for free. Same with Litchi, you have to force her to miss her pokes. and with stupid Mu, try using TK Gauntlet Hades to keep her grounded, other than that 6A is a godsend for people who jump and run away.

ok how the fuck do i combo off Ground Inferno divider C. been trying it in challenge mode on PS3 for like a week. cant do it

623C>uppercut>delay>213C>delay>5B>6A>high j.cancel>j.C>j.D>j.C>BE

the last belial/5B always whiff why? am i doing something wrong. it seems really hard, cant even do it in matches

any tips?

If you're whiffing 5B, you're either doing it too late or too early. If BE is whiffing, the opponent is too high. That challenge mode combo on Bang is actually pretty hard because Bang has a weird hit box in the air; it took me the longest out of any Ragna trial to complete that one.

yea might be bang. been practicing on jin and it seems to come out quite nicely for some reason. also doing the uppercut follow up early also helps for any1 interested.

I found that hard until I learned how to connect the 5B, you have to do it at the latest possible moment.

Hey fellas, quick question and maybe you more experienced ragnas can shed some light on the combo for me. Is there any secret to starting the air combo after you hit someone with a 6c, DC, 5D. The jump is getting me , i usually dont jump quick enough to him them with the j.b to continue the combo, is there something i need to change. is the combo better if you jump cancel or is it just a normal double jump with hits inbetween to a BE.
