Vampire Savior Tutorial #3 Tech Hit Techniques

By Guest, in Home,

Video #3 just released. Here's some breakdown on different ways to perform a Tech hit.

Keep a look out for the 4th & final video in the upcoming weeks.

"Vampire Savior Tutorial #4 Beating Defensive Techniques"

Last bit of recent news, Capcom had applied for the renewal of Trademark "Darkstalkers". We're eager to see what becomes of this.

It's been a long time coming, but soon the beautiful indie fighter Skullgirls will finally see release, and the first step toward completion comes with the revelation of the final character.

Double is a mysterious entity that often takes on the deceptive guise of a smiling Catholic nun, but her true form is that of a mass of flesh and organs. Double is able to take on many shapes and forms and naturally this reflects in her gameplay, most notably when she assumes the form of another character and uses modified (and unseen) moves.

Gametrailers was quick to the draw as Mike Z has already compiled a walkthrough detailing this interesting character. Part 1 goes over all the general stuff including movement and normals. While Part 2 focuses more on her specials and supers, and their applications.

As mentioned in the beginning of the segment this was running on the final build of the game, which means the release date and pricing will soon be upon us. It's time to see what over a decade of blood, sweat, and tears can achieve.

Hey guys, the staff has been discussing these two topics recently, and we decided to ask the people at large whether these things would be beneficial to the community or not.

1. Trading outpost: would you guys actually use this? we would be using shoryuken.com's trading output as a template and likely be using similar rules (minimum posts before you can post in it, must be logged in to see it, no piracy, no porn, etc).

2. Who would want a regular (monthly?) podcast where we discuss current events in the FGC, things happening on dustloop, etc?
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

Anyone with expertise in these areas are highly recommended to share their thoughts. For example if you help run trading posts, tell us what you thought could be done better or different organizational structures compared to srk.

It seems that GGAC is being ported to the NESICA arcade system (the one that BlazBlue is on). Even more interesting is that one of the screenshots shows Kliff and Justice... does that mean they are going to be playable in the arcades? Will there be any rebalancing? Screenshots show that the game is set for 16:9 screens with borders on the sides to maintain the 4:3 ratio of the original game.

The game is tentatively titled "Guilty Gear XX AC Plus" and is set to be released in arcades this year.

I'm just hoping for a port to current generation (and maybe next-gen) consoles...

Ok to start things off about, I’m your blogger Chase from the BlazBlue Community located at Philippines and right now we are going to talk about the event LabanParooza 2012 happening at the 25th and 26th of February.

First and foremost to avoid any confusion, according to Pinoy2DFighters, there will be a house fee of 50PHP for the 25th but you don't have to pay for the venue fee on the 26th, basically this fee is good for 2 days (If you're attending both dates!).

So why am I blogging about this? For one reason, LabanParooza 2012 has FOUR (4) games this year, namely; Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition Ver. 2012, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift - Extend, Ultimate Marvel Versus Capcom 3 and King of Fighters 13. In the event spectators can play with each other or members of the community as long as stations are free.

But if that wasn’t enough to grab your attention then maybe this will. Each of the games mentioned will have a tournament where the winner/s will be able to take a portion of the pot money home!

Lastly, this is surely going to be one of the biggest Fighting Game Event in the Philippines this year.

So for all you gamers out there, casual or competitive, if you are free at the 25th and/or 26th of February and if you are near the Manila/Makati area I suggest you guys mark your calendars and drop by to have a little fun with us.

The event will be held at the 3rd floor Emporio Building corner Sgt. Fabian Yabut Circle St. and Orense St. Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.

This event is hosted by Pinoy2DFighters.com (P2D) in cooperation with;

Skullgirls Racing Toward Completion

By Guest, in Home,

A new entry on the Playstation Blog talks in-depth about the downloadable fighters various modes which include your typical arcade, online play, and training modes but there are also a bevy of things that make Skullgirl stand out from the competition.

More after the jump.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
They talk about the in-depth story mode which features over 200 pieces of unique art and new music which helps to tell the engrossing tale surrounding a mysterious artifact and titular being the Skull Girl (you can see the new trailer below). Also the game sports a tutorial mode that hopes to teach both new and intermediate players how to get “tournament level” good at not just Skullgirls, but fighters in general!

Of course the game has trophies and achievements but the blog post reveals there are apparently Playstation 3 exclusive trophies…no details were given but they do go on to confirmed the PS3 version will also support custom soundtrack (but why would you do that!?). Lastly the post finishes out with stating that in the coming weeks the game’s price, release date, and final character will soon be unveiled! It seems the next evolution in 2D fighting is nearly upon us!
