Who's bringing Xrd setups tomorrow? I'll haul my PS3 if I have to. Just kinda against the idea since I have to take the Metra.

I'll also be willing to host GG at my place once a week for those who can't really make it out to any of the events. I was thinking Wednesdays.

Not going to go into why I think teams have historically not been received all that well here in the US. I do appreciate you listening St1ckBuG, and I wasn't going to cancel my plans. I'm still traveling just to hang out with people I haven't seen for a while.

I'd like to point out that if the final call for this event is teams, it's a bit of a logistical nightmare to ask for the team assignments at the door. Are you going to make the brackets at the last minute? Is there going to be pools? How will I know when my pool starts? How are conflicts with other events going to be resolved? If you're going to run teams, refund the existing preregistration fees for GG and ask for people to register again as a team. Otherwise I don't see this going well at all.

So I just registered for a singles GGXXAC+R NEC tournament, bought my plane tickets, and reserved a hotel room this weekend. And I found out today it's been changed to 2v2, because some Japanese players requested it. This was done without any request from the community nor were we asked about it. Is anyone else in a similar situation?

I just reserved by room and bought tickets to NEC. Faust will be in the house! Can't wait to see all the old men in December! Registered for +R and Uniel. I hope there will be a Xrd side tournament!

This might be a stretch, but I'm moving up to Chicago on Saturday. Until I can find my own place I'll be staying in a cheap hotel or hostel. Is there anyone here looking for room mates or know of anyone else in the FGC who is or would be willing to help house me until I can get my own place? I'd rather help someone in the scene with their utils/rent rather than waste some money at a hotel. Plus I don't know the area that well.

Thanks for trying those out! Sucks that it breaks other stuff for you. As far as posting stuff ,this thread is fine. In the future I want to do something on Green light, so that might become more of a centralized hub.
