I thought it was Johnny vs Pot.... anyway, I'm surprised how little has happened with Jin (well and Tager but that's been said), I mean he's fairly solid, but it's odd to not see anything done with 5D, even in the first loke test. It's near useless; it only cancels into heat moves, it's piss slow, any use it has can be filled by another normal: 2D has about the same range (and that also freezes), DC can be done with 6C, and that moves you closer as well as be special cancellable, bad proration, low comboability. The only thing it does better than the other normals is halting IAD's... and 5C, while not as good at stopping IAD's, offeres better return. Though I guess they might/add change it.

I share this sentiment.... it's not like it actually knocked you down, you can essentially tech at the same time Jin recovers from an air combo.

shit, I missed that.... sorry. EDIT: so.... 214B knocks down again, so we have better oki ground options.... of course it'll probably be immediately techable like 214C, but hey at least we'll be closer and can actually do something about it.

.....I love you too anyways, Ragna's 3C>5D allowed him to easily do an air combo that AFAIK was better than on a not grounded (standing/crouching) opponent because of it's untechable time (since they're technically in the air), so now it doesn't do that. I assume that means he can't continue a combo off a grounded a opponent with 5D, which is only possible from 5D (to my knowledge), so it's like a 3C without nerfing 3C.

I was think it would be cool to follow up 2C with something other than 6C, you know for actual ground combos with knockdown. I'm kinda surprised that he didn't get much changed *glares at jin's lolhitboxes and 5D* even in the 1st loke test. Oh and how I'm shocked a 10 page thread popped up while I was at school.

no, it's the same.... I think J2C has a wider hitbox. I have a basic question, Jin's drive is described as the freeze time never changes, but on counter hit I can link other attacks then on normal hit. Why? does the freeze time last longer, or does it kick in later?

I'm pretty sure the damage on Hazama's 632146C is wrong, there's an extra digit on the second half of the hits.... atleast I don't think it does 7000 damage lol

I'm well aware of that, it's I hear mixup and think high/low, but yes in the sense of overall mixup, Ragna kinda sucks, no crossup, mediocre frame traps, etc. So he is relying on high/low, and his is very formulaic... still I'd trade Jin's mixups... his just suck, loses alot of pressure after any attempt at it, the only thing that makes his mixup viable is freeze resets....

so his mixup.... isn't by definition mixup? that's.... kinda.... anyway, the thing is that despite average mixup it's still very tough to out RTSD him.

Ragna has good mixup compared to.... most of the non Bang cast. I mean atleast he can use his overhead (I'm looking at you Jin's 6A which only gatlings from 2 attacks and is screwed on block). Compare his mixup to most of the mid and low tiers and something becomes very obvious, he has some, he can actually implement high/low mixup. the biggest issue I see in Ragna's mix up is that he doesn't have crossups... well and his tick throws suck, but this is BB tick throws are trash in general.

I plan on it lol. yeah I don't see why Ragna dropped like a rock, I mean sure his mixup isn't great, but the only character with good mixup is Bang. Which basically makes Ragna a normal character in terms of mixup, it's just that if he lands one he can rip you a new asshole.

yeah except the thing is no. alot of characters have worse mixup than him, and yet they're above him. discussion reopen.

fair enough so on topic of hazama, what's the opinion versus Jin? I see it as 5-5, or even slightly in hazama's favor. the biggest issue for jin is the neurtal game, he can cancel his drive with his and swords but he gains no ground... so it's back to square one. however Jin's blessed with the gift of having some of the only attacks with higher priority than hotenjin, as well as having touga hyoujin (ice wave, great projectile punish). A-A surprsisngly for Jin (he usually enjoys good a-a control), Hazama's one of the few characters with an attack that rivals JC Haku' JC is really the only one that beats it out most of the time, but Hazama's JB is as good as Jin's JC. Jin's Dp's can mess up a sloppy approach by hazama, but even that's hit or miss . Once both characters get heat the match becomes almost a guessing game, since both have great heat options. It's very menotenous, methodical.
