It depends. My default is to zone and rush down when you have a safe approach. I think Jason D. can have better input though as he actually plays in tournaments ;D

Bored again... Streaming Eternal Sonata (Trusty Bell) right now. Encore game. Starting the Mysterious Unison optional dungeon. http://www.livestream.com/gli3

I don't think unwinded 3C is 2A dash-under compliant. 3C9D doesn't work on Noel. Make sure you are in deep so you switch sides. Sometimes you have to 66 harder lol.
-
For dash-under 2A stuff I just like 3C9D and throw setups. I don't want to risk dropping the combo.

I am not aware of any Rachel OS's. Maybe I can try to find some.

Well just got eliminated in HK's ranbat today lol. You know what that means... Anime ON

Short intro: I like Rachel. She is my main. I think I'm okay with Rachel but I want to get better. As for where my handle came from; SaGa Frontier. In hindsight it's a tough name to spell correctly so I go by "gli3" nowadays. "gli3" is pronounced "glee-san" ;D You can usually find me online on weekdays from 12 PM CST onward until about 6 PM. I live in the midwest in Texas. Dustloop Username: glirandly PSN Username: glirandly XBL Username: SkyKing Oz (shared account with my brother SkyKing)

Yeah there were a few mistakes I saw that cost him but that's the nature of tournaments ;D I really like the 2A cross-under though lol but I think it's gimmicky.

The only way to settle that is to play each others mains. I tried Noel out and I just wasn't comfortable playing as her. Rachel was easier for me to learn and so getting the rest of her game down was easy. If your "friend" is complaining that Noel is hard to master it's probably because her playstyle doesn't suit him/her at all. It's also a cop-out excuse for losing. Tell him to stop hiding behind those reasons and actually pay attention to what's happening in the matches. Also, if she's so easy to master than maybe they should take up Rachel and prove how easy it is. Personally, I think from the get-go Rachel is pretty hard to "get" how to play. If I were to pick up BB as a new game and I'm barely trying to learn then it's like: Pick up and play - Ragna, Jin, Tager Need combos - Platinum, Tsubaki, Hakumen, Hazama, Makoto, Noel Learn a few combos before playing as well as a few nuances of their game - Litchi, Bang, Taokaka, Mu, Valkenhayn Crapload of preparation needed before playing - Arakune, Carl, Rachel Of course, this list doesn't necessarily reflect how difficult it is to be really good with a character. Rather, it's how fast you can get a working playstyle put together and do okay in matches for the first time. So yes. I do think Rachel is harder than Noel to master. I think this stems from the fact that Rachel has more tools to work with than Noel so there is more material to master.

Jason D. anchored his team one bracket and then OCV'd the back-to-back match next lol. Good stuff.

Trap status is achieved only in certain WORLDLINES.

Things I thought were cool: - KOFXIII US Release - Zone of the Enders 1 + 2 HD That was about it. New systems are cool and all but it's really the games that are on them that matter to me in the end.

He can also just do 5C to punish your backdash attempt.

Well here is some stuff I noticed after watching it once through: First round is always messy since are trying to figure out your opponent. There were numerous times you had enough wind to gain the momentum by summoning pumpkin and getting in with wind but instead you went for frog. I think you noticed this and corrected it as the matches progressed. The moments where you lost momentum, I noticed, is when you were caught trying to do 236B/C. During this you get tagged by Valkenhayn doing Wolf Change with a straight dash-in. He did this all day even down to the last round. I don't think you used 236A in any of the matches to discourage this route. Make that Valk use his Wolf Meter more! Make him have to dash up and through the air to get in by using 236A Lobelia. Good job executing combos when you did land the starting hits. You dropped a few but yeah, tournament situation. Really nice midscreen oki ;D

EDIT: Well then. I'm going to copy/paste too ;D

Maybe you could also post it in that International Videos thread too? It's what we use it for anyway (critique Rachel play) ;D

If you like 2A cross-under stuff (I do), here are some ways of setting some up: 1) throw > 7D > 66 > 2A (only if they emergency tech) 2) 3C7D will cross-under by itself except against Noel 3) 3C7D (cross-under) > 66 > 2A (cross-under if they emergency tech) Have fun with more mix-up ;D

I still think it's pretty even although recent matches tell me it's something like 5.5 Mu.
