Nah I don't have trouble with this match-up as before now that I figured out what I should be doing. A few matches against tofurr and I got the idea. I think one issue that should be discussed is how to play Rachel when you are magnetized. How to optimally play in this situation I think is key to consistently winning. You won't always get those rounds where you get momentum and corner carry to victory. I prefer to block or dodge them altogether. Platinum will use missiles for the same reason you use pumpkin. It's to approach and force you to block. Most of the time I just neutral super jump to avoid them and let them come to me.

How do you explain using 2C against Hazama about to do Jayoku? It no longer trades with it.

After some more trials... Throwing out 6CD can beat out sledges and 6A guard point. 6CD is not immediately airborne so keep that in mind when you attempt this. You have to transition between getting those hits in and staying out of sledge range I find to be successful in the match-up.

I remember that vid lol. Interesting thing about defensive burst is that on counter-hit it's untechable. But, if you do get tagged by a non-CH defensive burst you can tech pretty early in the air and IAD + wind airthrow for a fast grab. Some timing is required but this could be a way to steal momentum back if you are desperate.

I'm mainly on XBL around 12 PM CST on weekdays. At 6 PM CST a lot of people on my friend's list are on so I think that would be the best time to play. Just add people and ask to play.

The others are probably from my IAD grabs during any of my pressure. My "auto-pilot" thing to do is to IAD grab since most people want to jump-out at certain points of the pressure. A lot of the time it's during the brief moments of nothing between points of pressure where people will jump-back (or jump forward if in the corner). The other time my grab would seem "everywhere" is anytime after a sword iris or BBL that hits high in the air. At this point if I see you neutral or forward tech and end up right above me I will sj.8D > air-throw to punish the tech. If I could describe how I play, I would probably just call it "lockdown". I don't want you to be able to do anything. I just want you to block and guess wrong at certain points. I'm more likely to do IAD throw (or even wind + IAD throw) if I see you jump around a lot. GGs though. I bet if I lost more not so much salt would be around lol. I'm the same whenever I lose

I'll only really spam grabs if I see you teching my throws. That's when I start to go for TRMs. I never had to resort to this since nearly all of my grabs were from your 2C (untechable) I know teching throws online is stupid that's why I still lose to random Tager online.

@unsanct: grabs are legit. If you are worried about grabs then I've done the damage already. Against your Rachel I noticed you liked to use 2C a lot especially if I moved towards you at a certain distance. I grabbed a lot because of this. With Platinum I just wanted to get refill of Bat. So I spammed command grab. Again with this limiting others of how to play. Grabs are in the game. Netplay or not it's an option. You can grab me too.

I neglected to mention it was on an alt account. I started it today and I've only played 9 ranked matches. It's lv.20 something and it has 212 PSR. The 9th match was a 2 - 0 ranked match against xLiEUTENANTx. ;D

Maybe I should fight you online more. Not many nearby Rachel's to play.
