  1. Sucks to be me then...I'll learn the combo and see how it goes online. Who knows, it might yet work. If it doesnt I'll trade the game and wait until BB"3" comes out. -btw- are 3C combos gone?
  2. Man..that sucks...I'm playing from south america, there's always a bit of lag on the matches I play. Well...I guess its time to find a new main until a decent non taunt b&b is found...or until a new BB comes out...shit I really liked the character :S
  3. So the timing of the taunt combo is harder or just as hard as in CT?....will this thing even be possible online? :S I tried CS the other day on a local arcade and the B cancel is more forgiving (thats as much as I managed to test, I'm really really bad with sticks)...but with all those changes in rythm I'm not so sure that this can be pulled off in a semi-lagged match :S
  4. Nice match, I would have taken a more tactical aproach though. I find that rushing litchi is usually a recipe for disaster. Tao's mobility is second to none, so I try to play it guerrilla style and poke with drives to throw them off. After a bit of hit and run, they start using riskier stuff and making mistakes. Thats when you find the gap and punish. Hope this helps, Im a pretty average player, so my advice may not be the best and you seem to handle the B&B combos well (wich is more than I can say for myself), so nice game overall ^_^
  5. I use it from time to time, as a wake up game. I capitalize on the uselesness of the move to ditch some extra damage. Due to the utter crapness of the move, most people just wont think to see it pop up and will expect something else on wakeup. So I use it to either get some damage (it might not seem so, but It can pile up some decent damage from a corner...for what it is..) or if the oponent techs up, the move will actually hit and lift him (due to the air-unblockable thingy) and you can get a free 2D/5D6 loop out of it. This is probably a newb thing to do, but I havent found a better wake up move yet. So if u're average like me, this might be usefull. Though I have yet to see it in a pro match (plus its hella unsafe). Although I cant count the number of times I've won against a higher ranked player (by the skin of my teeth of course) just by rushing next to him and doing 22a to chip the last bit of HP they had :P
  6. Man I wish you the best of luck with this endeavor, If there's anything I can do to help, just holler.
  7. Yup, I'll mainly focus on getting the d->b(hit) every time, that alone will take a while. Once I get that I'll move to the other basic stuff. Either way I already cracked the JA->JC->JC->JC, it whiffs 'cos of the lag, so there's not much that can be done other than to pay attention to the height of the oponent when I'm juggling him. Do you know any good guide for blockstrings and hitconfirming (or should I just check the guide Taoftw posted?). Tks again people
  8. You bet I will, nothing but taunt combos and D->B(hit) cancels for me for the next months XD
  9. It sure does help!, I think the problem is the lag, as you said. Thing is, I only play online, but I'll try to get it done on the practice arena and then I'll adjust the command to the online lag, tks again!
  10. Ironically, I only got the first combo to work on Jin a couple of times XD. But to the honest, wich combo is it doesnt really matter, my main gripe here is not beeing able to properly string JA->JC->JC->JC after a D loop, the JA hits, but the JC always whiffs in the charge animation. I thought at one point that It might have been me pressing the button too much and thus delaying the JC animation, but I payed careful attention to that and still got no results. I haven't tried the second combo you mentioned.
  11. Tks for the quick reply!. Yeah, I got the wording wrong. I meant this combo: 3C->(6D->JC)x3->JA->JC->JC->JC->236BB->236BBBB Its the one where tao hits 3 times with the JC claws in the air and then cat spirit's two for a knockdown. I've seen videos where after doing the 6D-JC loop routine, the hit JA and inmediately follow with a JC and then 2 more JC's (so as to gain upwards momentum and then finish with 236BB etc). Hope this clarifies the situation a bit. And tks again for answering so quickly!. -btw- I'll probably have to wait until CS comes out to learn the more advanced stuff, but for what I've seen, the basic combos remain largely unchanged, so I'll focus on learning the basics for now!
  12. Hey there. New to the forums as well, pleasure to meet you all. PSN: Chromatic_Kitty EST: (GMT-03:00) (Buenos Aires) Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina (South America)
  13. Hello, sorry to bump this thread up, I'm new to the forums and It seemed a better idea to ask here than start a new thread. This is the first fighting game that I really got into (played SF, and GG before, but never to this extent) and have been practicing for a while with tao. I got some basic drive loops down and some throw combos, but I always have problems with the final part of the 3C drive loops: when you hit JC->9D->JA->JC->etc. I pretty much always whiff at the JA->JC part. Its either the JA hits and the JC whiffs or none hit at all. What I would like to know is the timing (aproximately) for that portion of the combo, as (for what I've seen) is required for pretty much every combo tao has. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I dont think it would be wise to move on to taunt combos or the more complex stuff before getting this basic loops right. For the record: I play on PSN with the PS3 pad (dont have a hori stick, too expensive where I live :P) and I really dont have many friends to play offline so I always play online and there's some lag on the matches (since I dont live in the states P:). So, tks again ^__^
