  2. * Hit Box - n. - In most Fighting Games, there are invisible "zones" for a character that, if struck by an attack, registers a hit on the character. This also applies to the attacking moves, as well. Attacks also have invisible boxes that determine the zone that they are attacking. If an attacking Hit Box overlaps a character's Hit Box, then a hit is registered. Oftentimes, Hit Boxes are the sole determining factor to a move's Priority. * Hit Frame - n. - An Animation Frame of your character that actually can register a hit. For example, Ryu's Crouching Fierce in Super Street Fighter II Turbo has multiple Hit Frames. He can hit with the Animation Frame with his fist still at chest level as well as the Animation Frame with his hand up in the air. The Animation Frame where he is retracting his arm, however, is NOT a Hit Frame because it cannot hit anyone in the particular frame. solid logicz if priority didn't exist we'd see a lot more clashes~
  3. rapiding ID is much much more safer than trying to CS reversal, granted if you know the person well enough to pull off IB-CS go for it but I would never suggest it as a standard reversal method also you can be grabbed out of cs very, very, very easily considering your only invuln frames come from startup
  4. heyyy let's use a combo that's not garbage proration and start with 5C, should get you around 5k damage off a standard CS from mid-screen
  5. IAD with some footsies should get you in np, just don't make your IAD predictable.

  8. 6D can catch someone jumping but I don't think it catches barrier jumps, then again if you're playing CS IABB isn't that great anymore frame traps come after aerial IDs if they try to roll and you jc, causes them to mid-air tech and you can aim for an unblockable if they don't see it coming also there are a large amount of strings with GH ending which(in my opinion) is your best reset for air ub or tech grabs. pretty sure DS can catch someone trying to roll from corner-to you, haven't tested if it combos into anything though
  9. mmm freeze frame hakumen uses yuki ragna dps, dp attack is still within the frame so you clash.
  10. you clashed, it happens to hakumen in ct if you do a meaty dp on his wakeup
  11. well if anyone who posts here regularly has access to a bbcs cab(cny-chinatown fair is not a fun commute :[) and can test these out it'd be much appreciated!
  12. just mulling something over my head, is there any reason that this combo would not replace the current top RC combo for ragna? 5b-5c-hf(1)-rc-3c-5D-dc-6A-sjc-jc-jd-jd-BE-5D-22c is the proration too high by the BE point that they tech before 5D? unless i'm only witnessing counter combos it seems like this would work on most characters.

  14. if you're taking less damage and returning more damage ragna will overall take less damage, this is assuming you get enough combos to offset the balance(outside of blood kain this really doesn't happen, but then again if you figure you're getting 3-4k damage and 700-900 health on average per combo, it's a nice way to say on fights ragna wins and gets hit, he has 11k health)
  15. learn BK setups if you're dissapointed with your health gain, just expect to get bursted on a lot when you start them
  16. well he wasn't even knocking them down in the rapid, it was just HF(2)-rc-6D for whatever reason, never scoring a knockdown lol
  17. kaqn goes for the 4.4k combo most of the time that i've seen I don't know the math off the top of my head but it's something in the area of sacrificing 1k damage for 800-1k health(ish?) so I can level with why he's doing it against litchi since there's such a high chance of taking a poke or a high damage combo. or I'm overthinking this and he's doing an inferior combo just to do it @@
  18. if you only hit once with 5d will that scale for the whole attack the next time you use it in the combo? ie: 5b-6a-5d(1) combos that end with BE-5D(2)-HF would you gain a 10% increase on the 2nd 5D because of the one hit or no?

It feels like he's going for more Leech effect if that's what his game is trying to center around rather than standard 22c ends, other than that I can't come up with any good reasons since 22c is pretty much the best reset option, although I did notice the belial wiff-dash grab, that's kind've a nifty gimmick if you want to undershoot the hitbox and throw people off into some solid damage.
  20. interesting corner rapid the standard color ragna's using in the video, don't think i've managed to see something as effective off HF(2) in the corner from other ragnas unless I missed it somewhere in the horde of kaqn vids
  21. well I was thinking of scenarios where people could just burst before he's actually there then take advantage of an open hitbox, similar to litchi vs. tager where tager can burst TG and 720 her before she recovers. honestly this is only at a level where people fully understand the character, but it's obviously a lot less risky in CS where burst is instant and doesn't lead to 150% extra damage. if anyone could test this i'd be interested to know, both as a future hazama player and as someone who will probably end up fighting a large majority of them.
  22. wouldn't it just be best to go for a TGW mixup? granted it can be IB'd out of but AG is risking 50% heat for a "possible" 3-4k in-the-best-scenario damage, whereas a TGW mixup is a lot more momentum and damage if you can time your hits and tech time correctly.
  23. quick question, does the hook-pull inwards effect with invincibility frames? like is hazama at the place his hook is in the minute he decides to zip down it? scenario: you hit someone with a counter hook, they burst, you pull in, does the burst hit hazama if he's too far away or after he's hooked himself in? I think a better way to put it is does his hitbox stay with him the whole time or does it go with the chain?
