Are people coming out to HQ for practice Friday night? How early are people showing up for casuals on tournament day anyway? Registration deadline is 1PM by the looks of it. Also, how are we on tourney setups anyway? I have an easy enough time alternating between GG on Xbox and PS3, but since it's all Xboxes there, I figure we probably want our own PS3's to avoid the question of Xbox input lag. (At least, that's a thing in GG; although, it's minimal and I think most of us in town aren't phased by it, eh?) I understand Rigel was bringing his PS3. It can't hurt to bring your consoles either, LiveWireX and DerQ. Any other PS3's planning on making the trip? If it's a difference of needing a set of wheels or not, PM me.

Yeah, it's bound to be ambiguous—I'm not in Myles' shoes—but, from the conversation I was there for, I think it's boiling down to scheduling limitations and the P4A community's visibility. Where are the P4A players at? I've been making it out quite consistently to HQ and 'Gonq, and am always open to playing P4A, but it's been rare that I've seen the opportunity, at least, that is, with people who aren't there to play GG or something else first. I figure it was looked at as a risk to run P4A when there's no guarantee that all the GG players would arrive early again and enter it to kill time.

By "those" you mean their only other fighting game, MK9? At this point it's hard to say if the community's going to push for one console over the other for Injustice. The TestYourMight crowd pushed for PS3 because MK9 was well-suited for PS3 pads, even despite the game having slowdown issues on the console. There's no saying which will be standard for Injustice though. But back to real men's games, haha. I just confirmed with Myles, Persona 4 Arena has lost its slot in the tournament due to perceived lack of demand. Anime games will be limited to BB as a main tournament and GG as a side tournament.

I've got a good feeling about today. First day in over a week I haven't woken up in incredible pain. Assuming this holds, I'm coming to HQ for Guilty Gear and Darkstalkers. Who else is going to be there?

Most Qanba sticks come dual-modded out of the gate and loaded with Sanwa parts. They've got some for sale at canadianjoysticks.com and focusattack.com—both sites having been great to me in the past.

Yeah, I had preordered a PS360+ PCB for the same price, but they ran into trouble getting it in stock, so I swapped my order, and that's how I came about my Cronus. To be fair, they originally retailed for $80. (Dayum....)

That would be a Cronus Cross Over Gaming Device. It's got some limitations as to which sticks it supports (as we found out with Rigel's PS3 Hitbox), but seems to work well for all the random MadCatz sticks we have lying around HQ.

Anyone down for HQ tonight? I'm thinking of stopping by. I mean, I'll play whatever Capcom games people are playing there regardless, but you know anime will hog my attention if one of you shows up. UMAD sounds amazing, and I oughta be 100% by then physically, though possibly -100% financially. We'll see if I get the job by then.

Ah, thank you. I'll work on all that. And yeah, I've got a feel for when I can really combo Sol with it (point blank 2K mixup midscreen), but that 5HS hitbox is still getting buffed in +R, so things will improve, right?

A belated thank you to the MTL GG crew that made it out to our tournament last weekend. Whatever happened, I left hungry enough to drill Chemical Love FRC combos until I made them finally work.

I seem to have finally gotten over this mental block I had with the HCL FRC BnB and it's all starting to come together, but I've got to ask: What should I be doing after ...6P 5HS HCL 6FRC6 midscreen? I've seen it continued into j.S ffVCL 6[6] j.S djc etc... on Sol before, but I'm finding the hover dash link, well, impossible so far. It shouldn't be all that different in timing than following up a CH K-dive with 6[6] j.S, right? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the timing change dramatically (become impossible?) depending on how low to the ground I do the JI/TK'd HCL in the first place? I seem to remember reading something about 6FRC6 j.S ffVCL giving you time to walk forward and continue the combo (on some characters?), but I'm starting to think my mind is playing tricks on me. Any other options I'm forgetting/oblivious to that'll tack on at least a bit of extra damage midscreen to reward my increasingly less-rare moments of decent execution?

Very important double-post: it also seems like we forgot to put the room number for the fighting games in on the SRK thread I just linked. My understanding is that it's in ROOM E206B of the Student Commons (aka Robert Gillett building.)

If those are PS3 games, LWX, then you probably want to bring the console. There will be more of a shortage of PS3's than xboxes from what I understand. No registration required, JF. Just get there 10 minutes ahead of the tournaments you want to enter. (Or come early for casuals with me.) Brawl and Guilty Gear at 1PM. BB and P4A at 2, etc.... Baring the snow continuing into the night (it's supposed to go until mid afternoon), I'll be at HQ tonight–just not too late. Anime first thing tomorrow too of course. GG at 1:00PM means get there by 12:50 to be safe. And anyone interested in playing a bit of Vampire Savior tonight or at the tourney tomorrow? If so, let me know in advance. I can't believe how godlike this rerelease is.
