  1. Guilty Gear honestly. After searchin nearly every store near me I found one with 1 copy of AC+ left so I jumped at it being a fan of the game already since Reload on xbox. Brought it home, played it for about an hour or so and then realized that I LOVED IT. Put some time into learning it and chose Jam as my main. Then I heard about Blazblue, seen that it was from the same people that created GG, took a look at it, and really liked what I saw. That's pretty much it lol.
  2. Happy birthday Orie! Now to go and get her a belated birthday present.
  3. It's about damn time. HYPE
  4. I'm really liking how Yukiko is looking. She'll definitely be one of the characters I play as.
  5. Silly tier list is silly. It's hard to take it seriously when it looks like a 5 year old drew it.
  6. The characters all look great. I think Orie is my favorite so far followed by Linne. Looking forward to seeing more of this one.
  7. Wow this game looks really nice. Celia II looks awesome. I haven't been following this but damn that vid was nice.
  8. Lol that's the thing about Ragna. Once he gets in and starts up, he is somewhat difficult to stop especially for Tsubaki.
  9. Well I do try to watch out for 4D. Most of the Noels I play against like to do that whenever I make a move to do anything offense wise so air dash~j.D for baiting out that annoying 4D, then doing j.214x(C or D version usually) sometimes works unless they get wise to it. But even then I only do it once or twice because like you said having it read and punished is NOT a good thing.
  10. I know it may seem kinda gimicky, but I have also surprised a few Noels by using the 214x attacks when they start auto mashing 4D and 2D when I air dash in. If I have charges and 214D lands near the corner, it's combo time lol.
  11. ^That helps me A LOT. Sometimes I really get overwhelmed by Ragna and end up taking some risky maneuver that gets me punished.
  12. May as well. XBL:SoaringZero Georgia
  13. Is Plat's distortion where she spins around like a little cyclone a viable reversal method for her? I've seen it done before.
  14. Makoto's pressure always seems to trip me up. For some reason I find it hard to recognize the overhead and end up eating it more often then not. I also found that it's much easier to avoid comet cannon than to simply block it. You should only block it if you can't jump over it in time because even if you block it, it removes primers and gives Makoto a chance to rush in immediately afterwards.
  15. Never played a KOF game before but this one looks promising.
  16. Hmm...I heard about this a while back but I haven't been following it until just recently. It looks very interesting and kinda fun. I would play this.
  17. Watch out for 4B also. Some Lambdas will throw it out unexpectedly. If you think you can, try and react to parsers. 5B or 6B will do the trick with proper timing. 2C can beat her C parser but loses to the other two. Aside from that, throw out lobelias EVERY CHANCE YOU GET. Make sure they NEVER underestimate Rachel when she has rods placed.
  18. Fighting Makoto is SO annoying now. She's gotten even more mashy than was before and I didn't think that was possible. Anyways zoning works. I like doing 6B and A lobelia to keep her away if she tries to run straight at me. For air approaches, B lobelia works. Take your chance to zone her until she acquires 50 heat because after that happens, zoning is no longer a safe strategy. If you manage to land a hit try to score a knockdown and summon george or the pumpkin and do your best to keep her locked down.
  19. I find 2C great for this matchup as long you don't abuse it and get predictable. I use it whenever I see a 2D, 6B, or a 3C coming and if I have some wind, I like going for a short little combo. Or sometimes I summon george or the pumpkin. As far as approaching, most Noels I've played against like to dash in and do j.D to try and bait an anti air. B lobelia works well for this. But be careful when she has 50 heat because she may bait it and blast you with bullet storm instead. Also be aware of cross ups with j.4D. If you see it coming you can jump yourself and come down on her with j.2D for a nice punish. Zone her with j.B lobelia in the air, B lobelia and A lobelia on the ground, and summon when you have a knockdown setup. I think that's all I've got for now.
  20. Oh yeah you have to learn how to how to react. You can't let Jin control the match. If you just block, his pressure never ends. He can keep going as long as you let him.
  21. Wow I didn't know that. I'll have to try that since I often just get stuck in Lambda's mixup and lose all of my primers.
  22. Played a lot of Mu-12 vs Lambda lately and I have say that this matchup seems really tough for Mu. Zoning is pretty much out here. Lambda's swords shut down almost any attempt at placing steins normally. If you manage to score a knockdown then it's a good idea place one or two as close to Lambda as you can but you should only be placing them when it is safe to do so which is not often. 5C and j.C are also somewhat useful here. Since you can't beat Lambda at long range, you have to take the fight to her. Dash in 5C and IAD j.C can get you in if Lambda whiffs a sword and you can abuse 214C to try and break her primers. If you're quick and your timing is really good, you may be able to catch her with 6C depending on her position. Also your DP will beat her act parser if you time it just right. Aside from that, just block swords and keep your eyes open for any chance at all to get within 5C range.
  23. I have issues with Jin's pressure too but I've learned a few things that help to break it. Watch out for his 6B. If you're quick you can DP on reaction and knock him off of you. IBing, while not being exactly easy to do, will also let you counter several of his normals like 6C and I think 2C as well but I can't be sure. I find 5C very useful in this matchup. It out ranges all of Jin's ground normals so fighting him on the ground is recommended. It may just be me, but I find myself losing to him in the air most of the time. So I think sticking to the ground is a much better strategy.
  24. That's good to know. I'll be sure to keep that in mind from now on. I've learned a bit about Tager after being horrible at this match up for so long and it's really starting to pay off now.
