  1. Chie da bess (I intend on making her my sub). ShinSyn for @ScumbagP4UPlayer
  2. GG's to everyone I played today. Shoutouts to the Random Kanji players I blew up after testing out my tactics, they work (Yu vs Kanji thread updated) Shoutouts to Uri_WoZ for helping me out with the S.Lab matchup (Getting blown up 4-10 is not cool but hey, I'm learning) Shoutouts to Ayashi sending me an invite Right After I quit the game (lol) Shoutouts to 2 button DP's Shoutouts to Shoutouts. Goodnight guys. BTW Moy, we need to play; Yukiko has been a pain in my ass for awhile now, dealing with zoning in this game is NOT the same as it is in BB lol!
  3. Just now, LOL!
  4. You better not give up on Yosuke, since you've been modded lol! Congrats bro.
  5. This is a grounded match up, you don't want to be in the air a lot. A few tips when fighting Kanji: Be wary of his j.C, it can fatal you, if you're on the ground Kanji can easily pick up a 4K combo. Play the spacing game until you feel he is respecting you. If you're not going in in the beginning, he won't use his R-Action since you're out of range. When Kanji does his jumping air throw, crouch and punish; it will whiff you, even the EX version cannot catch you. In Kanji's pressure string, when he goes for 2.C (his persona vortex move), jump over it. it's slow enough to react to it and if you don't evade it, the move brings you to Kanji.s range. Be aware of Kanji's Persona air throw, getting caught with that will lead to big damage. Staying grounded benefits you, if you're far enough, you can short hop to make it whiff. 2B is your best friend and your worst enemy here; it can stop Kanji from approaching in the air but if used too much, he can bait it and if whiffed, the recovery on 2B can allow him to punish you. Use it but don't spam it. The oki game works well against him, just keep your eyes open if he DP's through it. You can block it when trying to mix him up, it might cost you a persona card so if it's early on, it's OK but don't try to use this tactic when you're down to your last 2 persona cards, they will get blown up and you do not want to fight Kanji w/o your persona for any number of seconds. Kanji's persona can easily be broken in this match up with patience, and once he is persona broken, he is going to be really defensive. Jumping around and running away, that is the time go in an hit him with a huge combo. Summary: Play patiently against Kanji and when you have the upper hand, go in. Stay grounded as much as possible, space him out, punish his aerial approaches and severely punish Kanji when you Persona break him.
  6. @wolfeagle847 1) DC = Dash Cancel, you will also see 66 at times which initially means the same thing. Just be aware that there is a C+D input which is your grab so keep your eyes open for that. 2) Counter Hit are varied combos if the opponent is swinging during one of your starters, Counter Hit gives you a little more stun to give you an opportunity for a bigger combo (Same thing applies to Fatal Counters but they give of more stun than a regular counter hit). 3) j.BB does mean press B twice in the air, Narukami has a few follow up attacks so when you see j.BB or 5DD the other B/D is the follow up attack. Hope all of this helped.
  7. Ranked Match Same Region Set Delay to good Connection Hit up training mode while waiting Matches will happen Works for me. GG's to Donovan, DS, Kid Viper, Joe and MashThat5A for joining my room and playing.
  8. People that don't block, you would be surprised what people will do when they can't think straight due to the mix up. Besides, they're 3K combos w/o meter and 4K with meter, why not be aware of them?
  9. I decided to work on a few 5D oki mix ups and came across this: Off of 5D oki on wake up: (5D connects) 66 > A+C > 2B > 5B > 5DD > 5B> 2B > 5C > 5B > 2B > 5C > 214D = 3403; (Ziodyne) = 4314; (Cross Slash) = 4693 A variant of the combo: IAD > A+C > j.B > [N] > 2B > 5DD > 5B > 2B > 5C > 5B > 2B > 5C > 214D = 3343; (Ziodyne) = 4254; (Cross Slash) = 4633 Same combo works with crouching opponents; For the one using the Evasive Action instead of using 5A you would use 5B due to crouch stun and you will get 4240 from Ziodyne and 4619 from Cross Slash enders. It's not anything spectacular but it's a pretty easy combo to get off of an opponent getting hit by 5D on wake up. Silly enough, if you use 5D late to catch them with 3 hits instead of 2, you can get 3529, 4440 with Ziodyne and 4819 with Cross Slash (This will most likely not happen but if it does, you get extra damage) EDIT: Thread Updated EDIT2: Found out you can hit the opponent on the Evasive Move with 2B on the first combo instead of 5A; gives you more damage.
  10. I have to disagree in the slightest here. In actuality, playing "bad players" helps you out. If you play only good players, you will be conditioned to expect smart things from your opponent and when they don't, you "could" get blown up by it. Everyone you play offline/casual/tournament will not always make smart decisions and if you condition yourself to know how to deal with smart and dumb decisions, you'll be okay when improving your skills. As crazy as it sounds there is logic to it. The only reason I dislike ranked is the static connectivity, not the sub-par players that are there.
  11. Well, I guess it's my turn to expose everyone of my own free-ness. I got 9th at Chicago 4: in Midwest Arena Tournament and I am disappointed in my performance. I really need some advice; I got a few tips from others already but I might hear something else from you guys. Here are the matches. ShinSyn vs LeonUltimate (1:55:00) - ShinSyn vs Brightside (2:22:00) http://www.twitch.tv/medina4life/b/329089662 1:55:00 ShinSyn vs Snoffles (00:00:01) http://www.twitch.tv/medina4life/b/329108469 Reach out to the truth and speak how you feel, I have tough skin so don't hold back.
  12. Man, you're out too? That sucks. Wish you could have made it out here even if it was just to hang. Well, I'm almost NC bound, should be there in about 20 minutes or less.
  13. *Keeping the thread above water* Tourney day, who's hyped?
  14. Divekick destroys Naoto's traps, it even hits multiple traps from air to ground. I was doing this last night against a Naoto player last night. Though I was burnt out from a long day, I do remember that much.
  15. So, I can make it out to NC and back so expect me to support, I'm just gonna be mad poverty and such.
  16. I was considering doing online Ranbats for P4U once I got all the information put together and organized. I've done a few online tournaments and I wanted to do something special to kick off the first Persona 4: Arena Ranbats (That is to be later revealed when the time comes), but if anyone wanted to start them off by doing their own thing, then by all means, go ahead.
  17. I have a 360, I just don't have P4U for the 360 "yet". I do have BlazBlue on the 360 if that's the game you wanna play I'll play a few with you on another day (Stuck in classes all day today).
  18. St1ckBuG: I mentioned it earlier but I guess you missed it; I'm not able to go due to reasons I'd rather not get too deep into details about. I'm OK but I had to spend a lot more money which dipped into my SJ funds; Sorry.
  19. I just fought an Aegis player not too long ago and I wlll say this; most if not all of what Kiku is saying is on spot. Your best bet is to work on the neutral game and when you hit her, confirm into big damage. Be careful when applying Yu's Oki game on her, she can DP you if you're not applying it right or leave gaps. j.C helped me out against Aegis' approach, it stuffed her quite a bit but it helped me keep the fight at my pace which in all honestly, this match up is momentum based. You got to make sure when you hit her to make it count and continue to apply the pressure. Watch out for DP's and be very careful in the air. Aegis beats you in the air and in Orgia mode, she will confirm into a 4K combo. You do have j.B which is a good tool to use against her, I've Persona broken Aegis because of this but you have to be very careful because she can hit you too. Do not press buttons coming down above Aegis, she will hurt you. Avoid being pressured by her in Orgia mode; if you find yourself in a situation where she is pressuring you, block low but as soon as she launches out of the air, block high, be careful no to jump because her normals will catch you out of jump frame start up and you're going to take a lot of damage. Her pressure seems to be easily telegraphed in Orgia mode, if she's flying, block high, if she's on the ground, block low. I have had success DPing her approach for the instant overheads she has, 2B is too slow to punish it and don't even think about jabbing her out of her approach. I will post more tips on the match up later.
  20. The first page has been updated.
  21. It is practical. Practice up in Training mode and you'll get the timing. Remember using the D version get's you 3 hits, on the 3rd hit it will send you airborne and that's when you OMC into Raging Lion B. It's not easy to start off with but once you find the timing, it becomes natural.
  22. GG's to Chaos_Kalibur, KaioGohan and MashThat5A. Why would you do this to yourself? LOL!
  23. lol we'll never get it back. It looks really fast but I'm sure that's because the game is overall faster and IIRC, hitstun is reduced so yeah. I wouldn't mind this being a Johnny main. Yeah, I don't think wallstick is a bit deal either. We'll all get used to it and find ways to use it. Besides, its a loctest, things might change by the next one.
  24. Don't even try it... from what I've seen, Teddie's R-Action bodies the okizeme set up pretty hard.
  25. Good Games to Shin_Kensou and Kurushii. I got a view on two completely different Yosuke play styles, and I will take from this and be ready for you guys with stronger Narukami gameplay. Shoutouts to Day 3 Narukami!
