  1. Sorry, the most I could offer is to bring my 360, but I don't own a fighting game to my name right now, and won't till UMVC3 comes out. Might change if BBCS+ has a retail version, but I'm not counting on it. Though the amusing idea of playing Gears of War 3 on arcade sticks comes to mind...
  2. Count me in for next Saturday.
  3. What I meant was, everyone else could play on stick, though Oso is weird and plays on the 360 pad...
  4. Shoutouts to Anime games to actually showing up for once to Noel being a fucking whore to getting my ass kicked nostalgically by Oso to AH supers doing no damage (the fuck is this?) to Hazama trolling even when I can't play him for shit to Noel being a fucking whore to being the only scrub who brought a controller to being the only scrub who hasn't played AH before the meet to being the only scrub who STILL hasn't played AH to an awesome meet and of course to Noel being a fucking whore. edit: Also shoutouts to everybody playing Relius when he comes out.
  5. Oh, I might be able to get there on time now. Previous engagements are no longer an issue.
  6. Right. I'll be there around 5ish tomorrow most likely.
  7. Might just see if I can join in on these shenanigans. From the first page, I ask Jet right? How long do these particularly last anyway? edit: Wait. Misread. Fo then?
  8. PSN Edge Reaper - Edge_Reaper, TX (pretty much dead, but I do plan to return at some point) XBL Edge Reaper - Hamat34, TX
  9. This match-up is pure annoyance. If your BnB drops at any point (which has been a point of annoyance for me, since I'm still learning the gatlings), his counters will pummel the life out of you. Learn to love grabs.
  10. Valk's are rather rare on netplay lately, but I did play him for a bit in CS2 so I'll share what I advice I got. I suppose it's worth noting that low IAD is something of a bad idea. Don't underestimate 6C. It really doesn't do much anymore outside of a corner since he can't wolf cancel out of it, but it will stuff air dashes if you're too low, and damage is still damage. In general, like Batousai was saying, staying groundside is the best approach, because Valk can get some nasty damage just off j.214. Also, I would recommend keeping charging to simple 5D taps. I would especially recommend against crouch charging thanks to Valk's 236C. It's a very easy combo tool, and while it's no longer an overhead, it's still pretty damn fast and covers a lot of ground. Unless you're fast enough to stop charging during the opening flash motion, you can kiss a good chunk of health good-bye. Yeah, using 5D is kind of basic advice, but against Valk, its rather important. In CS2, corners are nothing but bad news when fighting against Valk. It's not that he isn't dangerous anywhere else, but it's in the corner where his options really start to become CS1 scary, when wolf-form starts to combo back into human form, and that oh so unfun 6C becomes a valid combo tool. Just avoid being against the wall. Best choice would 236D, but jumping out is also a valid option. Just gotta remember that even if he gets you in the air, it could have been a lot worse if he kept you stuck in the corner. That said, Valk is rather squishy and like Airk said, has a preference to be airborne, which got quite a bit unsafe in CS2. His counter pressure methods aren't great unless he changes into wolf form. In that case, 236 C/D are just wonderful, because even if you don't succeed and knocking Valk out of wolf form, it can create a good space between you and him, forcing him to waste some of his wolf gauge to cross that distance. All and All, the best defense is to put the pressure on him when you can. Should note, this all from netplay experience, so grab some salt.
  11. Yeah the close ranged nature of her attacks is really throwing me off considering I used to play Haku and Valk before...But I'm getting the hang of it. Thanks for the advice.
  12. Well, I just got started really seriously playing Tsubaki and I'm wondering, what aspects should I really be concerned about when practicing/learning her playstyle?
  13. My friend took his copy back in today. Apparently he's been on the receiving end of this way too many times.
  14. "MVC3 is so broken, its fair." Don't play it to be serious, Capcom fails horribly at trying to make things serious (staring right at you Resident Evil). Just enjoy the damn game.
  15. Bro, we hate on everything including (if not especially) our Anime games. We don't discriminate. We're just mean spirited people. Where have you been?
  16. ^I loled And Thanks, that pretty much answered my question. Looks like I'm gonna have to figure what assists will work for it with Sentinel and Dormammu....Maybe Purification or Rocket Punch.
  17. Yo, quick Wesker related question. After some practice (and lack of knowledge) I know that a character grounded by Cobra Strike can be combo'd in the corner with his 3H. So I tested an aerial combo and then followed it up with 3H to see if I could combo it again. I get the 5L off sometimes but between the short wait to avoid Phantom Step, it doesn't seem possible to combo it, and even with that 5L, I can't follow it up. So should I just 3H it then do H Phantom Step and hope to confuse them or is that second combo actually possible but with really strict timing?
  18. Winning a match against a projectile spammer by solely using Wesker's 421H. That's the kind of thing that puts a smile on your face.
  19. But there's a certain section that has the prerequisite, "Complete Event #", and it goes up to 64. I'm asking about those.
  20. Sorry if this was asked or explained before, but what the hell are these "Events" listed in the Titles? There's a whole section for beating Event #.
  21. WESSSKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
  22. So...she gets a limited FRKZ?
  23. Not so recent, but RE5 was a good example. Looked damn good, but you still couldn't move while you were aiming.... Also, I stand corrected on my Aerial Combo Post. If you know your characters AT ALL, you're golden. Also, why does Zero feel so stupid to me...Zero is the only character that has caused me any sort of trouble that I couldn't tie into stupid mistakes.
  24. If you know how to do an Aerial Combo, you're ahead of the pack already.
  25. Right, day one log I'm enjoying this way too much. I'm actually not seeing that many Dante's, but a lot of Ryu's and Akuma's sprinkled with a few Sentinels.
