  1. She can use her orb(no punch) for pressure. I don't actually know how well it works cause I've only seen one guy do it online and due to lag, I couldn't do a fucking thing. But offline, if she does that, you can just try and IB her 5B>5CC>whatever as there are gaps for doing IB 360A/720. I'm gonna look into her pressure later. I WAS going to main her in addition to Tager until I learned about the parry loop and just thought "fuck it, I'm not Tao" So I know her gatlings on block pretty well. Also easy ways to deal with her Asteroid Vision mixup is as such: Anything other than the D attack can be hit by 2C, the D attack can be dealt with by 360A on reaction. So it is kind of a mixup but its nowhere near as bad as it could be. Most characters have answers to these so she is nowhere near as scary as she used to be. Only exception I think of is Bang without meter.

  3. I wanna participate but I have no preference to being streamed or not. And given how I don't mind going to concord anymore, I might as well hit up the stream and rep that Tager power.
  4. Take off the Cal Hotel. I have a friend who went there once when he was on a trip to check out the UC, He said it was total shit, like Marvel Mashing Hobo shit. Bug infested and dirty. Now albeit that was almost 2 years ago but if the possibility of it being still that bad, may not wanna put people through that...
  5. Dude I got way more than enough practice from EVO. I drove WAAAAY too much that weekend. I nearly killed us on the way back cause I was falling asleep since I didn't go to bed until 8am cause I had to take Stark and Dacid to the airport. That was brutal. 10 hours to Vegas, 13 on the way back. Just ask Dacid, Abstract and John about my legendary road rage driving around Vegas too...Apparently I'm hilarious :3 And don't worry we all speed. I just happen to have an obsession with it cause I have a big powerful car named TAGER!!!!
  6. Ok first I was talking about the qualifiers for the 3v3 thingy in Concord which is further than Berkeley. It takes me an hour to get from here to Dublin which is on the way and judging from the map, its probably another half hour from there to Concord...So I was off by about a half hour...Sue me I don't mind driving to Berkeley for the Minor since I'll be there for the whole weekend. Eh fuck it, I'll go to Concord. Also an hour from San Rafael to SVGL?? Dude you must be going like at least 90 the whole time. SF is about 45 minutes from here and San Rafael looks to be about another half hour from there...Looks like you might my new best friend you little speeding bastard :3

  8. Just to be clear, if Tager guesses right on a 214B/C and does Collider, He can get 4k. Same with his FC 2C. Also not to mention if he has meter when gets Collider or 2C on you, odds are he'll put you in the corner and you eat 6k with a reset. So you actually can't walk all over him AS much as one might think. Also to be clear, Tager can in fact be guard crushed. Its the main tactic of a strong Lambda player to zone him out and guard crush him as it gets him impatient and antsy and he'll start to mess up. Not to mention Arakune can guard crush easily while Tager is cursed. Its rare for there to be a reason to turtle so much but in this case it may actually be a good thing. So it requires Tager to be even more patient than he needs to be when on defense but honestly, on offence he could actually afford to get a little ballsy. Oh and to whoever asked, 5C/5D cannot be special cancelled on whiff. I have a feeling that in most cases, its best to just be on the safe side and parry the obvious holes like his 5C>5D
  9. Personally since I main Ragna as well, I'd put this as a pretty even matchup. Both sides have very good mixup options and this is going to hinder Makoto's ability to parry effectively. Not to mention if the Ragna player thinks he is pressing his luck, A simple Dead Spike gets him away for free. Ragna is one of the few who can dish out lots of damage easily in this game which means that while he still lacks the output Makoto has, she still needs to be scared. Also I have a feeling baiting Makoto's parry will be a huge thing in this match. I see empty jumps on the way for this. So its a matter of who gets hit first is gonna be the one scrambling to get an out. High level play will be intense for this matchup. Although OmniScythe may be a bit better at figuring it out as I haven't played against a good Makoto yet. Just my 2 cents.
  10. So as a Tager main since CT, I figured I'd make this for those who have less Tager knowledge. This is the ultimate powerhouse match right here, The grappler with a 6k command Super versus the squirrel with 6k combos anywhere... already see this going to shit for Tager:vbang: PROS: Makoto has more damaging combos by a long shot as her normals have amazing proration which can lead to easy 6-7k combos anywhere. Tager only lands about 2.5-4k combos anywhere. Makoto gains heat MUCH faster due to her newly developed parry loop where full loop combos build ~60 meter which means they can ALWAYS end in Supers for BIG damage. Tager gets a meager 20-30 per combo. CONS: Tager has the ultimate answer for Makoto's intense mixup as if the yomi level is high, Tager can counter her every option. Collider or 2C beats 214B/C and If he catches you right, he could literally 360B you right of 214A if you're too close. Tager can outrange her pretty easily with 5C and 5D. j.D will be very hard to counter as Makoto's 6A is a very hard AA to land properly. Although I haven't tried it yet, I'm like 75% sure Makoto's j.B would beat out Tager's j.2C. Will test later if no one else confirms. Tager has 10 guard primers and Makoto has no real good primer breaking moves which means that Tager can literally turtle ALL DAY if he so chooses. Guard Bonus anyone?? OVERALL: This is shifty matchup that relies heavily on momentum. Whoever hits hard first is gonna be having the upper hand. Magnetism will greatly affect the matchup either as AC would beat all her jump ins easily. As of now though, I will put this as 5.5-4.5 Makoto. Tager needs to be sharp as hell to keep up with her mixups but if he does, he has the upper hand.
  11. j.B is a great air to air option in this fight. Beats Tao's drives CLEAN about 90% of the time. When Tao is going air to ground on you, parry her drives and jump ins. If you can pick up on her using her j.B you can parry it pretty easily. But other than that...This is honestly going to be one of Makoto's worst matchups. Tao's high mobility AND her Counter Assault let her get out of the corner pretty easily. Also Tao has a just as damaging loop combo like Makoto which makes damage output even in this fight. I'd put this at 6-4 Tao's favor.
  12. I do??? My hands are small compared to my friends...And Dacid I am quite good at Marvel cause I have an obsession with Jin. But honestly is playing 360 pad all THAT hard?? I just use the left stick like its an arcade stick for my thumb...I suppose 2 years of Call of Duty may have honed my hands for using that but still...Its not hard at all...
  13. I love 360 Pad!! I can rape with Tager on stick or pad! It feels more natural to play on that than PS3 pad...
  14. I can bring the following: 360/CS/My 360 stick PS2/GGAC+ POSSIBLY refreshments if needed. I'm thinking my 360 setup would be great for casuals since most are PS3 but if we get 2 360 sticks then we could use it for tourney play in theory.

  17. All this talk of not teching pink throws just reminds me of playing online last night...EVERYONE except for GGJ(lulz Ragna mirror) couldn't tech a throw to save his fucking life. So I purposely did instant 360B after Gadget Finger in hopes they would figure it out...95% of online players are hopeless at this point... Also...HYPE for the minor! I dunno if you're taking count on setups but count my GG setup and my BB setup in.

  21. It gatlings on standing too. If I ever get a CH BSledge while I'm trolling, I like to just go walk up 6B>6B>5D and do stupid shit from there. Does 6B>6C work on crouching opponents? I've never tried.
  22. Dude I'm so trying the RC>taunt>720 next time I get the chance. Also 6B>6B>6C doesn't combo. You have to go CH 6B>6C in order for it to work.
  23. I dunno it doesn't look like the space between the nails that hit are that far apart. It probably won't work on everyone but I imagine most can be hit by it. But if it is Tager specific, then I just dug myself a deeper grave playing you...
