Hey Jared sorry I didn't show up at SVGL today to get the flyer from you. Had to take a friend to the Emergency room and got that all squared away. All is good now and I will print up another one and head to Gamestop tomorrow and see if that girl is working. See you Saturday! Also Dacid, Remix is hype as fuck. If you sing it to us once most of us are there, I'll buy you dinner! Gotta hear the Dacid magic at work! Rin will record it of course!

Well honestly, Jared is awesome but I dunno if ANYONE has the capacity to sit at an arcade cab from opening till closing(in this case, 14 hours) and his hand will probably start to cramp up pretty bad after awhile so breaks would give him a chance to rest the hand. Also since Jared is human, He will probably get hungry and need nourishment of some sort. So I'm thinking that every 4 hours, Jared should take a 1 hour break for whatever he may want to do and then other people can have random casuals! That would even out rather nicely now that I do the math: 10am-2pm, one hour break, 4pm-8pm, one hour break, 9pm-midnight. I'll probably bring my PSP and play whatever the hell I happen to have on me so I'd probably be playing FF Tactics or CT...

WOW...wasn't expecting that...Should've kept that in the back of my head though since 99.999% of costumes have wigs! Kinda random but did anyone see the Tales of Symphonia group walking around? I saw them monday when I was leaving but didn't pay close attention. Rin if you happened to snap a pic of that group, I'd be your bestest friend I'm uber fanboy about the Tales series so seeing that made my day!

MGL is pretty dead since Super SFIV came out but SVGL usually has tournaments or events every other saturday. We have a special event this saturday to see who can squash the bug king CopperDabbit's formidable Arakune. So if you get the chance, head over there whenever you can/want. Its all day event so you won't be left out of anything depending on when you go.

Jared, I went to my local Gamestop to preorder CS and MvC3 today and the girl working there is apparently a big fighting game person and When I told her about SVGL having CS, she said she HAD to go and check it out at some point. I told her to go on Saturday but I was in a rush and didn't explain what was going on. BUT, if you bring me one of the flyers tomorrow(or I can just print out one more, no biggie) I will ask if we can put it up at the store and see if that draws any last minute curiosity. It is kinda short notice of the event but may as well try right?? So we've got one more person at least showing up on Saturday to check out the game.

You mean at the Arcsys Booth in the Dealer's area?? I don't know if I played you but I do remember watching you. I was the guy who came in and made it look like I knew everyone since I used Bang, Tager and Ragna and did very well on those VERY worn out demo sticks...And then the Orange haired girl was yelling in amazement because shes and I quote "biased towards Ragna" when I was using him...Fun stuff! If I'm right, it was good watching another Tsubaki player. Only 2 others and we never see one of them in NorCal. You should make your way to MGL or SVGL sometime and get some of the other dustloopers to give you some competition. we could always use more players around here!

I know right?! Fucking genius qwerty! Honestly though if I had been able to record the matches, you would see why he was unstoppable...a lot of the players didn't know the game that well so I just kinda trolled them to death with silly 22C combos I thought up on the fly and my uber flashy worthless double RC combo which I have yet to pull off in a REAL match yet.

Its a double edged sword when you think about it. Less people means more of your usual competition i.e: Me, Scott, Derek, John and so on which means you're more likely to lose since we are for sure a good fight. More people means more variety of players but not necessarily BETTER variety. You can just catch on to basics of whoever you may not be as experienced against. Also Jared, I was at the Famine-Con for the ending stuff today and there were a few people talking about your flyer so may theres a couple more possibilities. Although it may not mean much since they were all part of my Ragna's EPIC 38 win streak of DOOM AND DESPAIR!! So grain of salt I guess...

Wow even though it was just the closing ceremony, I still had too much fun today. I'm not missing any of next year's for any reason. The dealer's market was incredible I loved how much stuff you could buy and the variety was really nice. Also it was nice to see an arcade at least working...I repped NorCal like a god though since my Ragna was apparently un-defeatable. Might as well tell a little story: First off I pulled an all nighter sunday night cause I knew if I fell asleep, I wouldn't wake up in time to go and actually spend some good time there. Started at the arcade cab pissed I had to stand but quickly got over it once I got pissed at how strange it was to hold the stick like I was mashing Marvel and then I had the FLOOD of scrub games to play! Got a 15 streak with Tager, took a short break and then came back with Ragna and for the next hour and a half got a total of 38 wins! I had an audience just watching me play regardless of if I had an opponent or not! After the last person played me, the 15-20 people continued to watch me play through basic arcade mode to the very end. So I put on a one hell of a show for them and made Ragna look like he could combo anything into everything and came up with the flashiest shit I could! But yeah...Then I went to the Aksys booth and mashed out some combos there. Impressed the orange haired Ragna lover by my abilities to combo passed 6 hits. My right index finger has a HUGE callous on the tip from playing too much Ragna all day. So I had a lot of fun even though the variety of my stay wasn't too grand. Next year will be great though! I didn't even realize how much stuff was at the convention till I looked at the program in detail after I went home. Sadly no video of closing ceremonies or pictures of awesome costumes. Wish I had taken pictures of the 7 foot tall Kon outfit and the 6 foot 6 Wonder Woman. So in short, I'm apparently very amusing to watch when I play BB and I'm hooked on this Fanime stuff now! See peoples there next year!

Eh closing ceremonies will probably be cool. I'll take a crap camera and record anything exciting. Assuming you didn't already record everything possible there, I'll upload whatever might have fallen through the cracks. Off to not so hype ending fanimu! I'll probably end up at SVGL afterwards just for the hell of it. Might see Mr. 5A there again!

LESS THAN A WEEK! GET HYPEE!!!! Whats the estimated headcount for the SVGL one??? I'm guessing like 20-25 but I'm hoping for 30-35!

Wow I love how I'm going to the fanime on the last day where NO ONE is gonna be there because my dumbass friends are dragging me there...FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU!! Is there even anything worth seeing on monday for fanime?? Arcade better still be open, its the only reason I buckled about going!

Not to be mean but the cosplayer dressed as Hakumen is really short...He looks really stumpy compared to the person playing Tao. Looks like shitloads of fun though, wish I had the patience to whip up a full blown Tager outfit(Trust me, I've got the plans in my head, I would just need to learn how to sew and all that crap and get about $1000 in materials for it...) And I'm pissed I missed playing against Mike Z...Being sick sucks ass!

I was looking forward to going to this until I got deathly sick...This was gonna be a fun weekend but now I'm just gonna be staying home. If I feel better, I'll probably go to SVGL Saturday and Sunday night but I'm not holding my breath honestly.

Some ripped off the CDC flyer?! Good thing I gave Jared 15 of those bastards to spread around! I would go put another one up...But I'm like deathly ill so going to SVGL is not a good idea...

It would be much more efficient if we could get at least 2 cameras to record stuff since with Willy's camera, we had to take a break every like 3 matches to get the stuff onto the computer. So if we could alternate cameras being used i.e: one camera recording with the other one getting videos onto computers to free up space, it would probably go better. We need to get Fred to help us if he goes! If only we could stream this whole thing...oh well.
