It was a shitty day until the ranbat actually started. Then I realized I play better in pressure situations like that as opposed to for fun. Thought I was gonna bomb out the first 2 rounds but I'm glad I got SOMEWHAT far and then Jared went and steamrolled me...Bastard. At least I stuck to my rule of not using the same character twice in a match. Helped me focus a lot more instead of sitting there going "holy shit I'm Tager, what do I do?!?! YOMI COLL-oh I'm dead..." I would be more excited about getting top 8 if there had been more than 12 people...Still good games people!

Unless we're gonna use John's CUP-POD for recording then I think we would need one. The only other person I know who has one is Ginseng and he isn't going so may as well bring it just in case.

Actually the GG and BB event haven't overlapped till now. CDC is different than the usual BB ranbats which is why its on the first saturday. BB ranbats are always on the 2nd and 4th. But this isn't our typical event since its focused on training and practice for the SBO qualifiers so I know a bunch of people are making special trips for it. I know of at least a few people who do both but I dunno what would weighs more in everyone's opinion. Strictly my 2 cents, just thought I'd bring it up since Jon is one of those who play both and I thought he planned on going to the CDC.

Wait the title says the Ranbat is on the 5th?? That would conflict with a bunch of NorCal players who were making special trips to the CDC wouldn't it? Maybe a sunday Ranbat would be a better option? Or perhaps postpone it one week???

If it was sexuality, how would you define Arakune users?? Not to mention Litchi sounds like an Uber Sadomasochist when she gets hits... Now albeit this is a dumb question I will ask anyway, shouldn't the Arakune in the flyer be Dabbit's usual "Spermakune" color scheme since I've only ever seen him use that color That would a trippy flyer though...I can just imagine a floating Shy Guy face since the white would blend in so well!

If you're gonna expand where you're putting flyers to further than just SVGL, put a few around the De Anza campus as well. I've seen a good number of SVGL regulars at De Anza so you may as well see who would want to go there as well. The campus even has spots for people to put up flyers for whatever they want!

Honestly I think we need to start putting the signs back up for each gathering as I know on weekends, there are quite a few random players who show up to play a little and well apparently just hearing the stuff from "that random Tager guy" isn't concrete enough to convince newer people to go...Signs are tangible and examinable so it sets the stage and guidelines clearly for those curious about it. Also keep 2v2s, its a good chance for some practice and fun in a team sense. Since its not a serious ranbat, newbies won't be afraid to jump in and mess around a little. Also I think maybe adding some crazy rules to the mix of 2v2s would further increase the fun. Things like "pick teammates but random characters only" or "Random team round robin secondaries only" or for major shits and giggles "TAGER ONLY BEGINNER MODE!" 2v2s are for fun so it shouldn't always be taken seriously like the ranbats. We should mix shit up and make it a little more crazy for extra fun. I dunno I may be crazy but variety is the spice of life right? Why not make the 2v2's that little extra crazy???

Ok Thank you for the critiques. I will now offer my rebuttal as I see fit: As for 360s, I do use them frequently just not against this noel because he gets out of them like 90% of the time. I am trying to remember to replace standard BC throw with 360s its just something I'm getting used to. As for the 5D>BSledge thing, lately I've been trying to just end on 4D or 2D for safer endings to pressure. I been trying to only use Sledge as a means to get close in a blockstring and RC it for extra pressure. j.2C I am in the process of trying to not do so much because I have been getting slaughtered cause of it recently. Its a pain in the ass to get back to the ground for me half the time so I either do j.2C or j.B. Its a work in progress. As for "proper" endings, I don't do them much cause I'm a much bigger fan of tech traps and use them A LOT. Once the enemy is magnetized and I get them in a tech trap situation, I have tons of them to work with. I have had many insane comebacks due to my vast array of traps that people don't know about. So "proper" endings aren't commonplace for me except for in the beginning just to get them in the situation to start playing mind games. Thats personally a preference on my part. And yes he has played me a lot so hes gotten a LOT better at fighting Tager. I used to be able to just plow right through him and he had no clue what to do. So I do appreciate your points and note I am not saying you're wrong nor am I mad by any means, those are just my explainations.

But I wouldn't mind some advice cause I'm wondering if I really did anything wrong or if I just got outplayed. Also, I do know doing CH Bsledge>6B>6B>5D>BSledge does not work. I was for Asledge instead of the 2nd Bsledge as I've been using it at a tech trap since I would follow up the Asledge. Most people don't catch that its a normal Sledge trap cause of how random the combo is so I'm milking it while I can Any advice appreciated.

Still cannot believe you didn't record the ONE AND ONLY match I won against Jon!! Why are all my good matches always missed on the camera?! That and I need to figure out how to beat Jon...he moves way too much for me to do anything I just get utterly frustrated and then I go mash mahvel to make myself feel better

For one, I assume you are talking about the FRKZ song right?? 2nd, I was talking smack about Dacid's lack of masculinity which he must cover up with his obsessive use of Bang:eng101: And while I do agree we should not betray NorCal but NorCal and SoCal are part of the same state, couldn't we all just get along and have one big commentating frenzy

Fixed:yaaay: Also James is the commentator down in SoCal, hes hilarious and knows all the characters very very well. Bang Camero commentated for part of SoCal's last Singles ranbat and he was just insane. We need one of them to come down here and team up with Scott for maximum hilarity!
