I'm bringing a Brawl setup for casuals or "candy" matches only but it will be a BYOC thing since I only have one...If I could find my copy of Melee I would bring that too. I'm also bringing water and MAYBE something to throw onto the bbq. Oh and in case Rod didn't notice I posted it earlier, I'll bring some Ginger Ale or 7Up just in case his stomach tries to kill him again. I'll also bring a PSP with FF Tactics and Dissidia for shits and giggles. And that Shaq-Fu side tourney better be going on!

So how is the BBQ working? Is there already enough stuff for everyone or should the players attending bring something if possible? If we need it, I could grab a couple things so long as people tell me what they want. Can't be hype on an empty stomach right?!

First Chun made me laugh my ass off with that, second Renegade is right about there being a crapload of Tager mains around here. I just get enjoyment of being the most consistent Tager main since a lot of people like to pull the old Tier Whore tactic when faced with a better opponent *COUGH COUGH*Renegade*COUGH* And I know I'm consistent with some of the combos I do with Ragna but I don't know the finer details which is why I'm pretty sure my Ragna sucks...

Had a rather salty day, went to both MGL and SVGL for a little while and saw some familiar faces...along with qwerty and I believe Oiboi(sp?) at SVGL...decided to play a few rounds of a certain game he has been so salty over and gave me a few words of encouragement about my skills with Ragna as a potential new main. (that was strange to me cause I could've sworn my Ragna was awful.) So it was nice to see he hasn't completely written off the game.

I can't believe how bad I was failing today...I'm so damn salty right now! God I was playing so crappy compared to the last ranbat!

Good job peoples! Had fun even though I was relatively salty after I lost my second match...Bad day I guess. I'm just happy I managed to beat Scoot and Jared in casuals before it started but then I just lost it...Oh well maybe next time. @qwerty: I personally think you're being just a wee bit too critical of the hype. Take into consideration how scarcely spread out the game is right now. There aren't enough to create sufficient hype as of now but given how successful CT was, CS should do just as well if not better. Plus couldn't you just come to the ranbats and enjoy the company of fellow gamers???

I don't know if anyone cares or not, but I'll probably go to SVGL a little tomorrow since I've had very little time to play this week due to finals. I need to practice a smidgen before Saturday so if anyone wants to have some friendly casuals, I'll probably be there from like 2-6 or something like that. EDIT: CHUN! Go to SVGL tomorrow so we can practice our Astral combos!!

Actually since we're on the topic of Philosophical entities in games, I have a book called "Final Fantasy and Philosophy" (yes I'm a total FF fanboy) and it was pretty interesting. Most Philosophy students usually use it as a minor in conjunction with something else like Poli Sci since you can you specify for things like Ethical Politics and crap like that. Most Philosophy majors are teachers and writers. Whether its for Ethics or Metaphysics is a different matter...I still cringe whenever I read Kant. OH Also some Philosophy students (like myself) may get ballsy enough to double major that with Psychology to work in the field of Moral Psychology as either a teacher or Psychologist. Haven't decided on that yet though...

You're a Philosophy major too??? Oh thats fine. No worries. I'll bring it for Casuals after one of the major tourneys are done and see how many people get into it.

Well lets see how good the TvC scene is and if we get enough, I'll bring my setup for it. I'd certainly like to see the hype for it. I have NO ONE down here who plays it and wifi sucks so I got no player vs player practice. But no biggie if you can't find the capacity for it, I'm hyped up enough for the Shaq-Fu awesomeness!!
