  1. Hell I have a friend who plays Tekken on and off so I'll ask him if he wants to go assuming he isn't working. Might as well add it in since there is obviously SOME community around here. Get them involved and who knows, you may find some other GG or MBAA players in the midst of it. Lets just hope adding that won't make the gatherings too big though. 40 people BARELY fit at Devry last time. even another 10 would be a really tight fit unless we get rid of the damn ping pong table...
  2. Whats the general hype level?? In other words, who is confirmed going? I'm going for sure and I'll be getting myself some Coldstone before hand to get me hyper so I can spaz out and win...Lets hope we can get at least the same number as the last 2v2. I have a friend who is good with Ragna, but bad with stick so I'll ask him if he wants to join. Ginseng has played him...and very much enjoyed trolling him and me for several hours.
  3. Damn I wish I could've gone. I would've loved to see all the crazy SFIV money matches. I only caught the one between Kai and Puerto Rican Balrog/Honda. Kai is just amazing with El Fuerte it just made me want to go learn him right then and there. KAI SPECIAAAAAALLL!!!
  4. I heard a lot of people were getting bets on who would get the first hit. The commentators were getting angry cause of how stupid some of the first hits were...I think one of them bet on the Furete player Kai every round he played since hes crazy with mixup mindgames...Although my favorite was ON-LINE-TO-NY!! every time he landed that air combo with Seth.
  5. Wooooow...This makes me feel so lazy. My Easter Sunday involved me waking up at 1230, eating lunch, finding the stream at 1pm and then watching that from the end of SFIV money matches to the start of Tekken 6, then I took a nap cause I don't like Tekken AT ALL. Woke up in the middle of the MvC2 top 8, saw the finals of that, saw all the 3S top 8 and saw all the streamed matches from Winners bracket of top 16 of SFVI. so from 1pm-1130pm, I was in bed watching the stream or sleeping...Then I fell asleep since I had class at 930am the following morning. I have no life on holidays
  6. HEY!! STOP IT! DACID IS MORE BROKEN THAN TAGER AND BANG COMBINED SO YOU SHOULD REMOVE THAT SHIT! ONLY WAY YOU'RE ALLOWED TO KEEP HIM IS IF FRKZ ONLY LETS YOU EAT ENDLESS AMOUNTS OF PANDA EXPRESS!!
  7. I noticed that Tager kept going 4BC->BSledge->5C->ASledge->4D Wouldn't it have been better to go for Gadget combos against Hakumen? I could understand doing that against someone with good reset options like Ragna, Litchi or another Tager but doing that to Hakumen puts him back at optimal 4C/j.C range so it would put Tager at a disadvantage right??
  8. I'm guessing its because it was literally just the top 4 playing so they were only there for like a half hour. Too bad Dacid didn't jump in and commentate when he could, at least he would've known what was happening. Both of Zong's matches were just the guys trying to figure out exactly how Nirvana worked and what the little boxes by the number of nails for Bang meant.
  9. Skull girls looked really good. Artwork was incredible as the scenery actually affects how the sprites look so background lighting is actually causing shadows and stuff like that. Very inventive and very well done. Plus Mike Z has many creative ideas for the games mechanics. Throw in VERY unique character designs and it sounds like it has potential. Off topic: Watching the stream for MvC2 top 8 and they got Michael Jackson playing the background...My day has been made.
  10. Hey I caught that demo of your Skullgirls project on the Warzone stream. Looked really good! Best of luck with that! Hope to see a full version on consoles in the near future.

  11. According to the commentary, the earthquake happened cause Mike Z's demo of his game project was just too epic for the Earth to handle!
  12. Found the final 4 for CS on stream. Assuming I was paying attention properly then the standings are as such: 1st:Bang Camero 2nd:Dacidbro 3rd:Zong 4th:Render Congrats to all those we're some hype matches. Too bad the commentary wasn't too good since the people commentating were SF4 players...
  13. What time should people be getting there?? 1230-1ish?? Or I guess a better question is what time should those who have contributions(i.e: food, drinks, setups) to the event be there? Hayward is only a half hour from here so I can get there whenever.
  14. Damn today was a strange day...NO ONE showed up to SVGL for 4 1/2 hours. I had the cab to myself for the entire time...My hand was burning after I was done. But I got some serious Ragna practice in and I got extra salty at how much bullshit the Score Attack Tager and Unlimited Hakumen can dish out...and I only spent about $10 the whole time! Strange that no one showed up on a Friday night though.
  15. Dude next time you're around SVGL and you activate FRKZ, I'll show a REAL chinese resturant within about 10 minutes from there. Good shit, huge servings and its cheap and most of all, delicious!! You'll be overly full and satisfied all for around $8! And the kicker...I have a coupon for $3 off my next visit...
  16. Yeah that would be nice but I'm pretty sure in order to work there, you have to play EVERYTHING well there except for Jurassic Park of course...
  17. Hell go during the weekdays and theres hardly ever anyone there. the most consistent weekday players I see are me, Jeff and Tao but I usually go way early when its empty and I notice Jeff and Tao there after like 4 or 5. Plus, you may as well play with them since you can gain matchup experience along with input practice right? If its just me there, go right ahead and play me, I can work on my Ragna while you work on Hazama.
  18. Don't worry I got it all packed up and ready to go. Gonna bring TvC for those who wanna play that too.

  19. Sorry I can't give a ride but I am going to bring water for people and maybe something for the bbq depending on what catches my eye.
  20. Has SVGL ever had any version of GG there? I only ask cause if you look at the 3rd strike cab at the bottom and top of the screen, you can see the movelists for GG characters...
  21. I would ask to go but 2 things: first I'm already busy that night and wouldn't be able to make it and second I'm now feeling a little sick and knowing my luck since its spring break, it'll be like this until monday.
  22. Ok so I guess I was going a little too far into the theoretical realm. Yes Tager gets zoned like a bitch but it doesn't take away from the fact that like I said, you only need ONE opening to get in with Tager against the likes of Litchi and Lambda and Arakune and you can wreck havoc on them. Again this is theory here so I suppose I should add in a rebuttal on the defensive properties logically... Yeah you can try and Sledge through Arakune's bugs and clouds but the bugs just catch you on start up and then you die...Lambda can just pressure the shit out of him and wait for a random Sledge and get 4k off of it and Litchi can do the same and get like 4-4.5k with obvious exceptions in pressure due to the fact Litchi actually has to be somewhat close to Tager to start anything. So yeah...Maybe I shouldn't have gone so philosophical with it...
  23. Brawl+ I have not tried yet since I do not have the computer know how to hack my Wii for that stuff. I'd sure as hell like try it. I'll bring my copy of TvC for casuals too. As for Tekken 6...While I do not oppose the idea, I don't play it cause I just don't like it. But hell if its hype enough, add that shit in!
  24. Wouldn't Tager's Max Damage be more in the S+ range? Assume 100 meter and he nails an FC, I believe he can pull off a combo in the range of 6.5-7k damage with oki if he uses MTW>Terra Break as the ender since he can Gadget after Terra Break. EDIT: Also I know this wasn't part of the Defense category but shouldn't you take into account Tager's ability to beat out projectiles when talking about defense? If you did that, even given his lack of mobility, it would easily make him SS Defense. Thats the only reason matchups like Lambda and Litchi are even manageable is because you find that one hole and you can plow right through. Maybe taking Sledge and Spark into account would be better suited for the Getting Out of Pressure spot.
  25. Damn that looked like too much fun. I should befriend Derek better so I could go to the next one of these gatherings. I wouldn't mind some free practice for once...
