Each matchup has the POTENTIAL of being consisted of 3 matches. It works like how qwerty explained it: Team1 A vs Team2 A Team1 B vs Team2 B If both members of Team1 win, then that ends the match right there since Team1 has no more opponents. If Team1 A wins and Team2 B wins, then it goes to a 3rd final match to decide who wins. So yes some matchups did have 3 matches while others only had 2. Take the last round of the Grand Finals for example. Both me and Dacid won our matches so that just ended it right there, no 3rd match.

Really? I mean there are always more at ranbats but just at SVGL on like a wednesday, its usually just Goryus and maybe one other. I remember one wednesday, there were 7 Tager players including me. It was just Tager mirrors the whole day.

Nah its difficult to offend me. I just have to get used to not knowing 90% of everyone's inside jokes...it sucks being the new scrub in the arcade. Also I've seen a lot of Tagers at SVGL. I think we have Tagers more than anything else with Hakumen and Noel being a close second.

More confidence?! MORE BOOYA?! How does one add more BOOYA without seeming like an egotistical jackass? Of course I suppose from now on, I could just yell BOOYA every time I 360 you...What would I yell at you for a 720 though? As for the confidence issue, once I'm better acquainted with everyone there, you'll start to see me become more and more loud and annoying...remember, anxiety is a bitch. Wish I could work around it faster but I'm getting there trust me.

I'd have to assume a good example for the titles would be as so: Title: SVGL BBCS Doubles 3/13 Grand Finals OrionXElite(TG) vs. Ryan(/\) or something close to that. You could probably get away with leaving the date out and putting that in the info bar just to shorten it that little bit.

I've never been to AI so I don't have a proper comparison but the sticks at SVGL have always been in good condition when I use them. Any input issues were always my fault for not paying attention to where my hand was going. But I know I was doing the proper motions for AC countless times and it just kept dropping it. It pissed me off a lot...

From what I can tell, they're right so far. Just use this as a reference: Me and Coopa use different colors so you can distinguish from that. Coopa colors: Black/Gold trim and the nearly all gold Tager (AKA Gallileo Color) Me: Green (AKA Mike Z color) and Blue (I call it Dr. Freeze!) He never used green or blue and I never used black or gold so just use that as a double check. EDIT: Keep in mind that Coopa had a lot more matches to play since his partner lost a majority of his matches while Coopa won a majority of his so he played A and B from the other teams more than anyone else I believe. Not to be mean, but thats just how it worked out.

First, I am learning the FC combos now as I'm starting to get an itchy 2C finger too...Me and Coopa actually played again today and we we played far less aggressively then in the video. As for the Lambda match, I was seriously thrown off by how in my face he was playing. I'm used to playing Goryus who is adamant about keep away against Tager which is how it should be played. I have a bad habit of doing the wrong follow ups due to precedent. That first 5C->6A->AC was an accident since I thought he jumped when I hit him...And I never actually noticed I had full meter when I did the double AC so that was my fault right there. Now as for the sloppy play and dropping combos, the 2P stick was loose and it was dropping many 3,6, and 9 inputs so anytime I was facing to the right, I kept dropping my AC almost the entire ranbat. You practically had to crush the stick to the right if you wanted the inputs to work right. I know I wasn't the only one who was having input issues either. So equipment problems were a contributing factor to that problem for me.

Well thanks for the advice Mike! I already do the 360 ->2B xx AC when I remember but I don't do 360s that much so I still have to make it second nature. I'm currently learning FC combos. I know a corner one but the 2P stick was loose so me along with a few other people were dropping combos a lot. As for the throw and CH Hammer combos, I will learn those ASAP! Dacid, I do remember Scott commentating on my rather impatient nature against Jared so I will work on that. That was the consistent advice I got the whole night.

Damn right Dacid I'm gonna need my match vid against Dabbit to try and learn that matchup better. I have so little experience playing Arakune I always panic cause of all the shit on the screen. But I am learning thanks to Dabbit and Jon and Qwerty giving me some advice and words of encouragement. So I will beat Dabbit one day...I hope.

Man Rin you sound like I used to! Just practice some more and get some advice from the local Tao masters...or master in this case since Jon is the only other Tao player I know of and he is pretty crazy honestly. Just don't be like I used to! Get advice, learn your matchups, practice your combos and you'll be better in no time. Not to state the obvious, but seriously reading all the character matchup threads helped me a lot with some of my weaker matches. Now go practice and I expect you to be using taunt loops on me next time I see you!

Oh Rin you're too hard on yourself! You did good against Scott and you sure as hell did a lot better than I did against him in the after In-N-Out casuals...Just remember, If you doubt yourself, you won't get better! It was a close match you just need to make those minor adjustments to make up for it. At least Scott didn't get a perfect on you like he did with me...

The quality was good. Better than most recorded matches I see that aren't straight from the cab itself. Although the commentating was a little low volume wise due to Scott not talking very loud and hearing Dacid and others cheering in the back ground. But thats a minor problem so other than that, its good.

I love how the sneak peek is the last match of the grand finals...you just ruined the ending for everyone else!

Good games people! Had a ton of fun getting my first ranbat win! I'm just glad I wasn't being carried the entire time by Dacid...I actually did good according to everyone else. I honestly thought I was a little off today but oh well...Thank you Dacid for backing me up! Everyone else did fantastic so it was a damn good time. Although the after dinner casuals were pretty fail for me since Scott stomped on me and made me feel scrubby. But I beat Coopa so I don't care! Redemption is sweet! Hope to see everyone either around SVGL or at the next Single's ranbat!

Assuming my car is all fixed up, I should be there early on saturday for some warm up casuals. Please tell me they're gonna move the cab into the little party/dining room like usual instead of keeping us out in the main area like the last singles ranbat? If the last singles ranbat was any indication of the hype in norcal, we may have just as many people going to the 2v2's and honestly, thats too many people for that area...

Even though I was just spectating, I still had a shitload of fun since someone decided to bring Shaq Fu! That seriously made my whole night! And I promise I'll enter next month and I'll being water again and as an added bonus(please don't kill me...) I'll bring my Wii with Brawl and TvC for anyone who wants to have "candy matches" or casuals. Only got my pad though so if you wanna play, bring your's too. I wanna see how the TvC crowd is here...Hope I can find some good competition since WiFi sucks nuts. Good shit today and someone had better give Tao a fucking present and an award for running that thing today. He was being run ragged but he still made it all work. That deserves recognition and praise!

Yeah so my PS2 is officially not going to be able to be brought for this. Sorry guys but the can't get the disk drive to spin at all. I dunno if its fixable or not but I can't do anything about it right now. I hate my shitty luck...But I will still go tomorrow and provide my little bit of hype and support. Now I suppose if people wanted, I could bring my Wii which I have SSBB and TvC(although I still don't have all the characters yet) I don't how big the Smash community is here but I suppose if it was hyped up enough, I have everything necessary for it except for extra controllers. Oh and I still plan to bring water for everyone too. I'm gonna either bring 2 or 3 cases depending on how much it costs. I'll also try and get there at around 1130 to help set up a little if needed. Sorry if my bad luck hinders the ranbat at all. If I can scrounge the cash, I'll make up for it by bringing chips too.

Umm bad news...Something is wrong with my PS2. The disk drive isn't working. So unless someone can help me figure out whats wrong with it, I have to opt out my setup. I'm not sure why the disk drive isn't turning. I'm assuming the damn thing may have finally crapped out. The system stills turns on and works, but the disk will not spin. So if that gets fixed, I'll still bring it. If I can't fix it, I'll still go as a spectator and bring water for everyone. So anyone wanna take a whack at what might be wrong? I'm not a techie kind of person so I wouldn't even know where to start...Sorry
