I'm at Japan right now with my friend and got to play like 3 rounds of CS2 Hakumen. Feels really slow compared to CS1 and I was pretty sad when I lost to a Platinum player who knew his shit because Mugen > Yukikaze kills too much bar at once, and I couldn't continue to deal the killing blow. Hakumen Renka (1) > Kishuu (623A) > 5C or 2C connection confirmed. 8 Star combo, midscreen 5C > 236B (1) > 623A > 5C > 41236C > 5C > 623AA > falling j2C > 2C >j2A > air dash > j2A > jC 6102 damage - (not sure if for Zantetsu (41236C) it is for first hit or with second hit. It is mentioned as if it will work with the second hit but I'm not sure if that really will connect.) 5C > 236B (1) > 623A > 5C > 623AA > falling j2C > 2C >j2A > air dash > j2A > jC 4000~ damage 5C > 236B (1) > 623A > 2C > jA > jB > jc > j2A > jC 3000~ damage Translated into combo format. Pretty sure it will come out into something like this. Also according to the BBS, Platinum's bubble special is cut-able with Hakumen's sword, but according to the posters : - bubble special is break-able by normal moves - one poster seems to point out it does create a void during the time when Platinum summons the bubble. - there are times when it will make a void, and times when it may not. Another poster within said it may just be an issue with people not hitting the bubbles with the specific projectile guard point from Hakumen's sword. edit : Oh okay, never knew that Platinum's bubble popped from normals.

Says usual step 5A BnB might connect. From 5C > 2 5C combo 4200 (I most likely think this is just to confirm the 2 5C combo still is intact) Corner Hotaru Tsubaki BnB 5300 (Again, just to confirm combos) Inserting 6C can lengthen combos a bit (? not sure if this goes with the previous note) Corner 6C > BnB 5500 5D > 5C > BnB 3100 Connects but blue beat during the combo. Close 6D at corner then j2C > 2C > BnB 2600 Some tested combos, pretty sure midscreen it ends at dash j2A, j2C probably falling j2C for inbetween. 5C > 623AA > jc > j2C > 5C > 5C > 623AA > jc > j2C > 2C > jc > j2Ax2 > air dash > j2A > jC > 5C > 3C Hotaru > Tsubaki > 2C > jc > j2A > j2C > 2C > jc > J2Ax2 > air dash > j2A > jC > 5C > 3C (Most likely corner since I think Tsubaki has that weird floor slide now) 5D > 5C > 623AA > jc > j2C > 2C > jc > j2A > air dash > j2A > jC > 5C > 3C 6D > j2C > 2C > jc > j2A > air dash > j2A > jC > 5C > 3C No charge for 6C?* This poster and a following poster says that after some play, Hakumen's movement feels noticeably slower. J2C activation slower, Enma BnB seems easier to pull off. Midscreen damage overall seems to be lowered but maybe compensated with drives new perks. Most likely will see more Enma BnB rather than Guren BnB because of more meter gain and to compensate the big damage midscreens. Renka combo will work in corners. Seems to be 6C has no charge on it.* 6C now may be useful outside of corner pressure. 5A j2A gatling helps a lot. Makes it easier to go in with this. (Most likely through air pokes.) Meter gain seems bad but poster says it didn't bother him because he hardly use Tsubaki Zantetsu. Can't rely on Hotaru. 6D can connect to a 2600 combo with 0 meter. Seems great for meter gain. Because of 6D giving base 1400, countering Cantata might be hilarious. 5A > j2A gatling may have potential for a bigger damage combo in midscreen. 5A > j2A > air dash > jA > jB > land 5A > jc > j2A > air dash > j2A > jC Something like that. Corner throw > 6C > 2C > BnB works (I forgot if this works for both forward and back throw, most likely forward due to the way poster mentions it.) Summarized posts, if anyone have any more insight on it or finds wrong info just fix it please. (sorry for the length, wanted to finish this in one view)

Well seeing how Valk is now finally on 360, good to know. I still like DD'ing Tao's DD though after a succession of IB's. Best match ender. Ever.

A week after getting the console version (got a 360 just for CS). This is after a whole year playing casual at the arcades, I actually can't believe how easy I can do some combos and moves now after seeing myself struggling to do them back then (too bad they don't have CS).

After watching a huge load of Hakumen matches and videos online, I need a question to be answered. Do people not use his drives because its not worth it from the proration or is it because the risk is too high for the reward? Also, do you guys think that most of the top players seen in many videos getting hit by overheads due to going for a mistimed 6D, or just because mistiming IB/plainly getting caught? I've been using Hakumen's drive intensively and was wondering whats up with the lack of Hakumen's drives. Edit: Or maybe because they want to keep it as a surprise because after one counter, the opponent will be more cautious of their moves?

I can try but I'll be spamming j.2C and j.D (just kidding but these are my most probably used moves). Also, like everyone else says, lag just makes me go into idgaf mode and just start going for 4C/3C spamming so as long as we don't have that, I'd like to practice some Haku mirror with you.

I'm actually pretty annoyed when I GO for the punish and it magically whiffs or it misses. Other then that I was assuming all the top level Hakumens were whiffing their 6D on those overheads because I really noticed a lot of them are prone to overheads. Also, this discussion just reminded me of years ago in CT when I thought hop hotaru/tsubaki was insane and bad ass everytime 0 or other Hakus got the opponent.

^I've always have been using 6D. j.D even more (using as in not D spamming) and was annoyed when I found out its uncomboable for the most part of it. But after hearing you gain a meter from just landing it as well as it giving some amount of damage, I guess it's a good trade although I WILL miss j.D 5C 5C combos A LOT (and 6D mugen). Edit : Too bad it doesn't gain meter from projectiles. Cutting it still gives meter right?

During a pressure string? Because I was pretty sure 5B>5C>2C>3C>Haida worked after an IB. I really hate playing a zoning game with Tager because it feels cheap, but I usually stay out of his reach and just wait for him to come at me with a sledge or charge his electricity. The 5B/j.B still seems usable in my opinion and so use it to your advantage. Watch out when you 6B because they can usually do command grabs and fuck you up. Also, Spark Bolt should always be anticipated.

I never knew about it till I read the general guides section and then tried it out for Slayer. At first, I never got it but after about an hour in training mode, I got it down pretty good. Don't really see myself using it as much though.

I can actually feel the "Fuck this shit" Zakiyama puts off every time he misses a combo. Pretty funny really. Btw, are there any videos where Hazama's 623D RC combo is used in a perfect combo?

Holy dickapples. Seeing the first round, I saw Zakiyama bursting so I was all "Ahh man, so its gonna be Dennou's Astral Finish..." Just as I was about to move on, I noticed there was gonna be another match, so I decided to watch. I have never thought about doing Astral from 5B>3C, was always doing from either IB or 4D (usually missing). Now, I know you can combo into anything from 3C. Anything.

Couldn't find a specific thread on it but does anyone know where I can look for some Mugen combos? I won using Mugen for the first time today with Tsubaki and Renka spam, ending with a Yukikaze burst counter (jizzed in my pants man), but then I really noticed my spammage never really connected (played a decent Tager at arcades), and was wondering if there are couple that actually connects.
