iirc, Kakyuu or some other default color Hakumen not A-92 was a decent Zanshin user.
-
I'm probably just over thinking this but Kishuu still doesn't go through Nirvana right; it probably does go through her moves but not herself?
-
Yeah, kind of noticed this at the singles too but it's "itsme". Just clarifying now because I know I wasn't clear with my name at the singles. Thanks.

I couldn't help grinning every time something new came up, especially the return of the special cancelable grab. One thing I love about the new jB property is that it adds stability to the usual combo by "adjusting" the opponent's to the right height to add the jC ender, something that really held back the full corner carry of Hakumen in CS1/2. All in all I love the improvements.

I just realized it right after I made the last post.

Just checked out the bbs and saw this: So now I'm assuming the 8k+ deal is from Mugen talk. Not really surprised about it too.
-
I usually do Renka (2) > 6C in the corner if I get lazy or the thing doesn't read my Kishuu but okay. Oh neat, so that means we don't need to add Guren anymore mid screen right?
-
So wait, what is this supposed to mean and does it change anything from CS2; is it now a full upper body invul or something? Better. I'm wondering if there are follow ups on counter hit. Does this mean after the 2nd hit or after Renka (1) Kishuu? Okay. This means it still has no follow ups right? Fuck yeah. This means it gatlings in air without adding the jump in between right? FUCK. YES. These are neat I guess. I wonder how much the greater distance would affect our combos now. I'm also wondering if our combos will be like Litchi's or Makoto's where we'll be carrying the opponent across corners; I know we can already do that but I'm assuming we'll see more of it. So no more Renka>6C in the corner, or does this mean we'll have a much more easier time doing corner combos with Renka? Meh, I shave primers with 6C anyways. Yay.

It sends you to some midpoint between a Bang and Tao match. Fixed the link: Haku v.s Tao: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCdCkpnyY3A#t=03m18s

Watched the stream in the morning and just came back home, great job Spark!
-
Anyone watched the Revelations stream and was their anything noteworthy from it? I completely missed it because of a busy weekend.

Loved the overhead special usage by kanimiso. Something I noticed recently is that people tends to block low A LOT of times when playing against Hakus though good players still knows when to watch out for Tsubakis. Edit: I think the Chiba's blue and green one might be Naoe, or that's what the MC kept screaming.

What is the damage range for midscreen 5C starters with at most 4 stars? I saw a video on utilizing jA twice like the ones mentioned in the previous post and am wondering if it is worth the mags.
-
Huh you're right. I think I got mixed up watching videos and looking at names.
-
Good to see A92 coming back and playing as better than ever. Also, the last two MIGHT be Kyomusou. It's hard to make out the name because it's so blocky but the first character in his name looks like it matches Kyomusou's, so I'm guessing it is him; also the color matches too though that color is used a lot.

Solid Hakumen but this guy is a good example on how your opponent's can bait your catches.
-
Regarding catching the Nirvana super; I tried it and I think they changed something somewhere because there's this "hole" between the catches where Carl can tech out compared to CS and so I don't think you can do a full catch into kill combo against the Nirvana DD.
-
Yeah that's Fructose. edit: I just google'd the phone number too. I laughed heartily when I saw it was from Hanasaku Iroha.
-
I don't know why but Ragna seems to be a completely new match up for me. Noel is definitely much more annoying while Rachel and Tsubaki seems the same but needed to handle with more caution now that they can actually hurt you.
-
I just tried using the traditional combos compared to the corner carry ones in terms of mags to dmg and a bunch of the new ones are slightly more cost effective by like 200 more damage compared to the traditional combos. Also, I learned a neat trick on jB > air special connects so I think its a nice addition to the arsenal.

Okay, the recent combo parts video has some interesting find, especially the guren BnB. Basically, utilizing air dashes and j.B special connects, this is pretty awesome. Some examples (all works from any place on screen): 3C CH > 2B > Guren > IAD > jA > jB > 2C > j2A loop - 2747 damage 5C > Renka (1) > Guren > IAD > jB > Hotaru > AD > j2C > 2C > j2A loop - 4879 damage (confirmed to work on all characters) ^ the midscreen to corner carry version can add those extra j2C and j2A for 5773 damage Seems workable as a standard since there's nothing really gimmicky or inefficient about it. source: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm14462809

And as a final flavor note, 6C fatal combos (is it me or does 6C fatal > 6C > 5C > enma loop not work anymore?) and 6D Mugen (I just tried out 6D > Mugen > step Renka > Kishuu > 6D on green Burst > step Renka > loop > Shippu, and it still only goes to 7280 damage) being nerfed gets to me. Oh wells, time to stop worrying on gimmicks and play the game. EDIT: Also, the mag cooldown after Mugen though you shouldn't be doing Mugen in the first place.
-
Okay, I was kind of iffy on the jD nerfs and stuff but CS2 Hakumen is actually fun to play. Maybe his damages could be buffed a bit more but he's still looking pretty solid.
-
You can combo mid screen grab into a RC Guren but as all of you know, that's a waste of mags. Anyways, I kind of get what mAc meant in the video discussion thread when he said a lot of CS2 Hakus are playing at a lower level. I'll probably explain this further but I guess I'll give this game a chance another month before I make a conclusion.

I was thoroughly annoyed at how bad my CS1 Hakumen was leaking into my games today. Also, I'm getting confused by Hotaru's wall bounce and screw up timing the 6C a lot.
