  5. no, as you may know jin is kinda low tier in BBCS lol.... not a lot of people use him.... only Ren and kogatan almost qualified for SBO I put my faith in hiroshi jin and satoshi's bang that they will win SBO this year lol... I dunno if more jin gonna qualify though, kyoto seems has no famous jin player too so yea it's not looking good.

  6. I guess so, not 100% sure lol.... anyway not all the purple bang is dora, the other dora , kasumi, also uses the purple bang dora is the one with the longer name

  13. throwing DP sometimes it's the only way to get out of FRKZ pressure if the bang is really good.... it's risky but most of the time you'll have 50% meter when bang goes FRKZ so you can RC it. Thanks for the confirmation about the 5A>2A... bang teleport is too fast if he decide to teleport from full screen. it's too risky to throw out normals or throw.
  14. hey, so is bang new super is called ashura??? or that is his drive move?

  15. lol, it's okay anyway I am posting the japanese wiki stuff on the jin matchup thread with bang... I would appreciate any feedback that you have...

  16. ah cool, I see bro... so he is going to SBO with that litchi guy instead? man, the ATX SBO is gonna be hyped, and I hope my jin can compete with all the good players.... so the only Jin at the SBO gonna be just me and render I guess? do u know if shtkn or other californian jins gonna enter?

  17. ok, let me see what's the japanese wiki has to say about this matchup (and myself too actually.... having to go against 4 bangs on regular basis at my arcade) basis: always try to take the initiative of offense, knows how to get in for a specific player or just what works in general.... to be patient is really vital in this matchup, a strong defense one must have lol..... it's always a guessing game with the bang, but once you recognize the playstyle of the specific bang, I think you can use it to your advantage... bang's 5A can function as anti air too so watch out for that..., j.2C again will beat that instead of j.B so it's fundamental to know which one to use. use jin's jB mostly for crossup. jA, fubuki is a good anti air to use against bang..... be careful when you both in the air and you think he gonna land, but he can do his air drive and it will beat almost anything that you will try to throw on the ground. wakeup DP is risky because he can just do his drive move...(2D) to counter it eventhough he is really close and you'lll eat his big 2D combo ..... so do it unexpectedly... long range: do your fireball unexpectedly...., because he can use his drive to teleport at you and getting pressure right away.... if he has meter be careful of umbrella super for fireball too because you'll eat that super because of the fireball recovery time. bang's running and dashing speed is also good, so be careful of that, need to understand "maai" the interval between you and your opponent and do a little bit of yomi of what he gonna do next to try to get in. bang also has much better mobility in the air than jin because bang can dash more time and please take that into account. he can backdash and then directly dash at you and doing tech trap or something. mid range: keep in mind that jin strong point is long and close range, he is kinda suck on medium range... that's why try to keep the enemy at long or close range.... try high jumping so you can mixup jC and fireballs and maybe other stuff to get in. try using high IAD too for crossup sometimes.. instead of the normal IAD... you can use both jC and jB for crossup.... mix it up also with 3 ice because they will throw in 2D from time to time... short distance: be wary of his dash-in 5A... jin's 5A might beat it but it has so much lesser range... so it is dangerous... .. also bang 5A is 1 frame faster than jin's 5A so this only WORK for "dash in 5A" please note the difference... 2A will beat it too sometimes eventhough 2A is 1 frame slower than 5A be patient and know what normals or DP to throw after instant block.... like 2A will beat 5C after the previous normal if you instant blocked it.... throw in 3C also once in a while because it has upper body invicibility on mid range... make sure to do this unexpectedly because 3C is an unsafe move... if you IB his D nails after mixup.... and he dash in at you , you can do hirensou or rehyou.... be careful because the smart enemy will bait that too from time to time.... but if they bait it, then you can in turn be on the offense.... note: but be careful if they are super close after the D-nails because it's still a positive frame even on instant block... others: be careful when you are knocking him down and he has meter... he can do 2D>RC or maybe the daifunka or new super wake up.... especially if the enemy is about to die, most of the time they will throw that at you especially if they have 100% meter... and the new super... isn't so negative on whiff too so be carefull for that.... if you are close enough 5B will be a CH if the new super whiff.... be careful when you both in the air, always try to keep the distance and use jC mostly... because if you meet in the air most jin air normals will lost to his... you can try to do airthrow but make sure it will connect.... be careful when you are approaching or about to land, and they can throw 2D...... use the double jump system especially on close mixup game. throw DP carefully on FRKZ mode.... and try to do combo after ward.. if you get to corner meterless FRKZ bang.... pretty much you can overturn the match...try using 3 ice too in the corner for FRKZ bang... if you are fast enough, and you know he gonna throw in 5A>2A... and you IB his 5A...you have a time to throw him and it'll be a throw counter....(can someone confirm this?, this is from a reader contribution that still unconfirmed , not sure if this is possible)...
  18. let me translate most of japanese wiki stuff...about this matchup... basic: ragna's strongest point is mid-range, so you want to stay faraway or really close with jin... bait his DP at all times, and see when the specific player like to throw the DP. don't keep him in the mid-range where he can do dash->5B. his best poke.... note: jin 5B will beat ragna 5B but jin's 5B has much less range... wait and see on how they react when you approach them whether from the air or from the ground... long-distance: try throwing safe-fireball, 2D and j.C poke is really good, try to get j.C counter hit mostly if the ragna is jump-happy. jin's j.C has more range than ragna's j.C, be careful because j.C and fireball has some landing recovery too, so make sure you'll be safe or special cancel it before you land. you can throw 5D once in a while too , but be careful because of the long startup and recovery 5D has now, that's why only use it on long-distance condition. mid range: if you think they gonna do dash-in 5B, just stand there and do 5C and it will be a CH from 5C and you can do a good combo out of it. you can also do 3C and you'll lay low avoiding the 5B but it's riskier... but if they block it you can cancel to B uppercut if you think they gonna jump, or A/B fireball. short range: again, always bait for his IB>DP.... don't throw a lot of non-CH or non-comboable 5C-6C because even on normal block he can DP out of it. 5C>2C>6C for jin is a bit better, but have the same problem from 2C>6C... so be careful... be careful of his high/low mixup... ragna's crossup is kind of suck so you don't have to worry much about that. on short range be careful of his 6B. on medium range he can do either GH or 2D..... which is tricky...., you can counter his GH with 5B or 5C or some other stuff though, but 2D is harder if you don't instant block before hand. others: ragna is top tier in this game and pretty dangerous overall... he will get a pretty good oki after his 22C....., be wary of 6B or sweep after his 22C hits you. dash->5C of jin is really good against him, but use it on long-mid range.. because ragna 5B almost has the same range as jin 5C be wary of his wakeup DP too, and sometimes he will do wakeup throw if you are really close, so the key is too bait his DP only and don't be too close when he wakes up, that's why actually try to get a knockdown with 3C instead of ice car, or just keep him at reset/frozen if possible.... ragna corner pressure is too good..., and his combo is long too, so dont hesitate to use CA, it's worth the meter, or maybe just EX ice car away from the corner. jA, fubuki, and jump throw is a good anti air to use against him... watch out for his 6A whenever you jump at him..., j.2C will beat that 6A if done correctly, but still need to be careful. that's why if you think you gonna be hit by 6A, do j2C instead of jB be careful of throw or DP after he ends his mixup with 214A/hell's fang
  19. There's actually not much said in the japanese wiki lul... basis: watchout for taokaka's overhead and also throw.... anything that can lead to the loop combo is bad. also be careful of taokaka's crossup attack... taokaka has a big hit box, that means you can almost always end your ground combo with C ice car. if the specific taokaka is jump happy, 2C and 6C is actually great to use against taokaka. out of 6C/2C counter hit you can do a pretty decent combo especially if it's in the corner you can start doing the corner loop and you can deplete most of her health. jB and j2C are both great tools to use if you both in the air... be careful of taokaka's air throw too while in the air. 6B is a great tool to use because a lot of taokaka's low will be beaten by it, it's also a good throw feint to use... 2A and fubuki is a good AA to use against her, jA is not so much... use more jC... fireballs aren't the best way to use against taokaka because of her mobility use it only at max distance.
  20. FYI , this is jin's worst matchup according to a lot of japanese players. one of the main reason is jin's strong pt is for long-range stuff, but litchi's longrange mixup and abare is much better than jin for long range... also the long combo she can get out of almost anything basic: Litchi's combo is long and damaging.... she pretty much can kill jin in 2-4 combos, whether for jin he is not that lucky so be careful in approaching her/getting in.... and even your combo is less damaging... don't be discouraged and be patient. wait and see what a specific litchi try to do for her mixup, and try to counter it.. long-distance: -every kind of fireball is safe to use against litchi on max distance... -use some TK air fireball too, to mix it up -2D and 5D is good to use too.... -jC is again an excellent poking tool too on long distance... mid range: use some in-place jump to bait whatever she can throw at you, barrier block if you baiting for her AA special... because it is an air unblockable... you can also use jC>2D for the inplace jump.... throwing 5D from time to time in block string to keep her away for a while isn't a bad idea too..just be careful when doing it. if you get a CH from 5D you can do 6C and a decent combo out of it... learn to hit confirm 5D. or you can do ex ice car from 5D normal hit airdashing is really bad in this matchup..., try not doing it often. on mid range and kinda far if you know litchi gonna poke with 6B you can do 2D and it will beat her 6B. a good anti air for litchi is jA, fubuki, and 2A.. short range: when her stick is gone... try to get close to her as possible and apply all pressure that you have this is your best chance to even out the game.... without her stick she can't do her DP too, so keep that in mind..... your best chance is to kill her or do as much damage while she has no stick. if she has her stick and you are on the offense watchout for IB>DP.... try a short smart mixup if possible because if you get knocked far enough with her barrier, she will have more chance to retaliate try throwing your EX fireball on short distance unexpectedly if you want to continue pressure at her...try the hi/lo/throw mixup after the EX fireball..... others: try to beat litchi's jC and jB with jin's jC. be careful of litchi's jC because that's what lead to one of her biggest combo.... you can do A ice car or 6B if you know she gonna throw some of her low attacks if you are close enough and on CH jin can get a decent combo out of it. do wakeup yukikaze if she is doing her 13 orphans. escaping from the corner is essential to survive this matchup. you can delay your wakeup too if you know she gonna pull out this super just be careful coz she can run up to jin and attack too... but her stick itself won't hit you if you stay lying on the ground. 2D>RC>6A is a nice trick against her too... 2A is a great AA to use against litchi. DP C>RC is great to use to get out of pressure....
  21. why I feel like this thread is kinda dead.... oh welll... my next project is too translate the matchup gimmicks from japanese wiki for jin...
