  1. It already started, it's just closed to the public. That's actually the change that I like between P2 and P3. Because I'd rather have a party of characters that play differently than just a couple of slots for me to put my Personas in. And I was actually confused that I can not only fuse my starting Personas, but even get rid of them for good, too
  2. I guess the fountain pen is one of her normal attacks. No way they can ignore that one. Her meta-super doesn't make much sense, since I'm pretty sure that Maria didn't have another shotgun on her. She's still awesome tier that should've been in the game from the start, though.
  3. Damn, my first thoughts were "Silly" and "Not a serious fighter", too. And I still like it, even though I haven't read the manga. For now, I hope that there will be a duel mode of sorts, just so I have something to do offline with my brother.
  4. I must say, "Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan" is one awkward translation. At least more info is coming.
  5. It's your fault for uploading so many of them. Yeah, that does seem to be something that should be fixed ASAP. I don't even know what could cause the enemy to disappear like that, since none of Cerberus's moves teleport him or anything like that. And hey, I didn't know that Cait and Sith's dad is Joseph Joestar.
  6. Just to clarify, which character is that? Souya? The cast of the replays I've seen is pretty diverse, maybe with some lack of Licht, Asuma and Kureha. Basically, every character seems to be able to perform some awesome stuff, it's just that some of them do it better.
  7. Well, at least we know that Examu did not forget about this, which gives us even more hopes for the console release. And the "Additional Gain" title reminds me of the [C] anime...
  8. That Cthylla is just a regular Cthylla, but from a different angle. She's as sexy as ever.
  9. Seems like the meter below the combo count fills up completely with each hit and then quickly reduces to zero, ending the combo. So it's basically a fancy way to show the window in which you can continue the combo. Pretty cool.
  10. It's the goddamn Kaiji narrator/Hikari Gendo, how the hell can you not instantly love him? The video's pretty hard to search for gameplay clues, but I'll do my best and edit the post later.
  11. For now, I'm betting that Teddy is an NPC/Tutorial fight, simply because they don't have him on the character select screen, yet he's apparently in the current build.
  12. Ah, true, didn't notice that. Then I guess the "swirling" is just a fancy way to add a counter.
  13. More screens, more UI speculation and other cool details! (For now, I'll be calling the bar under the life bars the "minor gauge", as opposed to the "major gauge" at the bottom of the screen.) - The round begins with full minor gauge and the major gauge at 75%. Seems like there's a lot of stuff to spend it on. - The first match in the arcade mode is against Kuma/Teddie? I wonder if it's a tutorial match or something more. - Some new bar appears with the combo counter. Though it doesn't fill up by much even with the 10-hit combo that kills Yosuke. On the other hand, it's completely filled from Yosuke's two-hit special. What is it for? Maybe it fills up when the combo can be broken? - The diamonds over the health bar swirl with the KO/when a cool super-move is performed? Maybe it's not a round counter after all. - The 150% bonus of the major gauge doesn't seem to be related to the supers after all, since Yosuke has it even while being pounded by Chie. It can also be both blue and red. - Chie has her own gauge, maybe to charge her moves Makoto-style. - There seem to be some flashy moves going on right at the beginning of the round, but that's probably because of the debug mode. - The protag is called Yu Narukami, just like in the anime. Suck it, Souji! - The character select screen includes the color "PRISET" choice, the option to put on your glasses, and to change your Persona? Perhaps the last one is to change between the regular and the evolved version? This is getting more interesting with every batch, just as it should be. Too bad that we'll know everything about the gameplay by next week.
  14. Damn you, America, getting all the cool stuff again! Oh well, better for some of us to get it than for none, right? I mean, outside the console release. EDIT: Oh boy, is that a Galactic Punt bar I see on one of Chie's screenshots?
  15. Kanji seems like the most obvious choice. I mean, he, like the dudes before him, is the heaviest member of the cast. However, he wields a two-handed weapon, so that kinda leaves no space for any grabs. Maybe there will be no grappler; maybe it's someone we don't expect.
  16. Uhh, the lack of glasses is certainly surprising (even more surprising is the fact that I didn't notice that), but I guess that's because the game takes place after the events of P4, and all the mist that the glasses were made to see through is gone now. Now they have to do some different stuff to look cool during battles.
  17. But why would there be a meta-world in Persona? I guess it's safe to assume that the system will be mostly based on the one in the original game, and there was nothing like that. I guess it's some sort of cooldown, like in AH or something. Rise basically says "This one's going to be dangerous! Block!". Which does make sense with the protag in the super start-up. Now that I think of it, those diamonds may just be the number of rounds won. I just didn't expect it to be over the health gauge. EDIT: Also, that strip-club stage is probably just a super move background animation. But I would totally expect all the P4 dungeons to be represented as stages, so we just have to wait for that one.
  18. Yay, screens! Now we can discuss the UI! I see 5 gauges so far: - The life bar (obv) - The burst bar (crossed out when the enemy performs a super, BB-style) - The super bar (turns red and grows two more charges when performing a super?) - The "diamonds" above the health bar (a handicap, perhaps?) - The gauge below the health bar (turns gray to recharge something?) Oh, and Rise tells Chie to block dat super. Wise words, Rise. EDIT: It seems that the protag has 15 "heat" on the fourth screen, which is slightly less than one super charge, while the gauge below his health bar is gray and is reduced by about the same amount, slightly less than one charge. Perhaps that gauge is used to charge your meter?
  19. It's not like I have any reason to use his physical attacks when Chie does more damage with those. But to be honest, I've just finished Rise's dungeon and Teddy boss fight last time I played (which was, like, two years ago?), so my opinion hardly matters. Even though my friend who did finish the game thinks the same.
  20. I beg to differ. You can already see it on the scans. Gonna second the motion that this is like Christmas coming early. The fact that this thread got 9 pages in a single night is proof enough. For now, my biggest expectations are for it to become something more than a BlazBlue clone and, why the hell not, something competitive. At the very least, I know that me and my friends are going to have lots of fun with it, with Hiimdaisy quotes thrown everywhere. About the roster so far, I am sure that the Empress slot in the scans is Yukiko. After all, she is one of the first party members, and they already revealed Kanji. And anyway, who the hell else would be playable with High Priestess arcana? Fuuka? Ha! Oh, and I will probably main Kanji, simply because I feel bad for him being so useless in the original game.
  21. Rejoice, the biggest Russian BB tournament has just ended, and it had 2 Tagers in top-4! And one of them took the first place! From Bang! By pulling a purple 720 followed by SB! (Was that enough trolling to ban me? Well, it can't be helped, since it's true.) And, umm, hi there, fellow scientists. I guess I should drop here more often, but I always end up lurking your discussions about how bad Tager is without contributing anything important.
  22. Man, this is ridiculous. As if bringing our enemy to the corner wasn't easy before.
  23. I guess no one but me cares about this, but AH3 is getting published here in snowy Russia: http://ru.akella.com/News.aspx?id=2976 Not only will I save some money for shipping, but there is also a chance for some official events happening! NOW I'm excited!
  24. Demographics are pointless if you want to define plot by them, because it only defines the manga magazine some series are printed in. Just say that you want some plot that's better than in other fighting games (which is unlikely, but we're just wondering here, right?).
