  1. The people on Mayonaka Midnight also found two good sites with tons of loketest reports, and I'm afraid that I won't have what it takes to translate it all. If someone wants to help me, be my guest. http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/game/52991/ http://kfxbja.web.fc2.com/LocationTestP4U.html
  2. Hide your children, it's the charge supers! None of the characters interest me so far, and those are usually the main point of interest for me. Not sure if I should care about this game, but I wish them luck.
  3. That NEED MORE DAKKA Tager has been scaring me ever since I unlocked him in CS2.
  4. Thanks, this one worked like magic. ...Too bad that it didn't make the rest of the challenges any easier I don't even have enough confidence to try Arcade, since I can't link even the easy stuff.
  5. Man, these trials are kinda hardcore after the easymodo challenges in BB. I'm already stuck on Kula's fourth trial, where I need to input two half-circles in a short window between the two hits of her DP. How the hell am I supposed to do that?
  6. Even better, since R-Actions cost HP, what if she uses Dia to get into the Awakening range, then heals herself out of it? I would guess that R-Actions don't count as far as the Awakening is concerned (i.e. it counts the blue health, too), and that you can't get out of the Awakening even if you heal yourself.
  7. Oh come on, she's way better than Rinne. And the rest of the cast are on about the same level of "If I put these characters together and do some other stuff with them, they will look like this!".
  8. Seems like the UI got some upgrades, particularly the Persona Gauge and the Awakening. Even Kanji's aerial throw looks more brutal now. Nothing too exciting about Mitsuru right now, but hey, at least we got some actual footage of her!
  9. Well, Nantoka was saying that it is possible if you use your items properly (pretty much how it happened in the video). At least he appears behind Akihiko, which means that the enemy has to go through the pain train of his beatdown if he wants to hit Caesar.
  10. Alas, I'm in the same boat. And I like Sixaxis much less than my PS2 pad, sigh. I'm actually glad to hear Kula being so popular, she is the character that I would gladly learn the game for, even if I'm not a unique snowflake about it (see what I did there?). Her combos also look very simple and easy to understand, so even if I change her for someone else, that won't happen for a while.
  11. Yeah, I understood that the burning tubs are one of his items (since I've read the list). I just thought that he's going to spring from under ground, but he just runs across the arena instead. Mistranslation and poor Japanese does that to you.
  12. Teddie says "Nani ga Deru Kuma" while tossing his items! My Faust is soooo pleased with this! His Awakening Super doesn't work the way I expected it to, so you guys should make some edits to your Teddie threads. I love how Mitsuru's Persona attacks don't simply shoot ice, but pull the enemy in with the whip. She instantly got some awesomeness points for me. And Akihiko's Maziodyne has even better AoE than I expected. I will be very surprised if there is a single spot on the screen where it doesn't hit you, which means that Akihiko gets a free ticket to your face with it.
  13. Finally got the game two days ago, but I will have to get used to the system before hitting PSN. The combos in the trials are much shorter than in BB (at least for now), but the link windows are much stricter, and that frustrates me a great deal. Push the button too early and the move doesn't come out, push it too late and the enemy gets too far to land that command grab of yours. Oh well, it's all gonna be for the better. As for the team, I'm probably gonna use Kula, one of the grapplers (probably Daimon or Vice when I get better with the game), and some melee heavy hitter like Shen or Elizabeth. They all seem like fine characters for a total KoF newbie like me, and powerful enough to net me some random victories. Other characters I'm considering are Maxima, Clark, Athena, Billy and Yuri.
  14. Well, I didn't notice anything too bad besides the things you noticed and some obvious hits missed (like that 6B or 5B while you were in the air). Actually, there are some cool combos that I've never tried, so I don't think I'm in a position to criticize you. Meanwhile, I took part in our last CS2 tournament with moderate success, even taking the second place in the newbie matches, which is nothing short of a miracle. I even got some replays for you guys to make fun of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J0M79kcHp4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pM09MZgCuU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJG30slbjlM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKtvEa9UkTc The things that I did notice and am ashamed of: - GODDAMN STOP SPAMMING HEARTCARS IT'S NOT A MIXUP TOOL GODDAMN THIS IS PAINFUL TO WATCH - Had no idea how to follow up the midair pan (I got better after the matches, though). - Some dropped combos here and there, need to work on my input. Was I using the command grab and 2B too much? What were the ways for my mix-up to be better?
  15. Why would they sue Capcom, anyways? Is the outfit copyright-protected? Or are they offended by Magneto's villainy?
  16. As a person who has lots of different accounts all over the Web and prefers to put on some Christmas avatars on all of them, I approve of this update. Especially of Orie and Vatista avvies.
  17. A PC port without a keyboard config? Brilliant! It lags a bit for me, so I'll have to wait for my new graphics card before playing it online.
  18. So, we're having our last local CS2 tournament tomorrow, and I'm going to take Plat for a ride again. I have a question before doing so: what are the uses for Swallow Moon other than doing easily blockable overheads? We have another local Plat player, and everyone have learned to block his Swallow Moon mixups even before I got to learn them
  19. Meh, nothing interesting for Kanji here. At least I got some cool Yosuke juggles and Teddie getting the stuffing beat out of him.
  20. Well, there is one on the official website (and in the official artwork thread), and Pixiv is already bustling with Platinum art. A birthday well-celebrated, I believe.
  21. For some reason, I like the BB ones better. I can't quite figure out why, though.
  22. Unless I don't understand something about the color edit mode (I still don't have the game on me), such colors could be used to color the whole sprite into skin-like colors, making a nude edit.
  23. I guess there's not too many of them because they can be used as skin colors?
  24. That may be so, but back when I first heard about the game, Souya mirrors were in every match video I got to see. Maybe he's just easier to use than the rest? Even though he's a zoner in a game where everyone can zone.
  25. I love the general lack of Souyas over these two videos, he was all over the place before. I guess it's so varied because the game is brand-new for the most players, so they're learning the roster from scratch. This also gives more attention to formerly underused characters, like Kureha (who is actually pretty damn nice) and Shiffon (who I now like almost as much as Dusk). And yeah, watching Nina right after Pure makes you realize how poor Pure is (ahem).
