I think spacing/distance is also something to consider in blockstrings. Like again with Ragna, his 5C isn't really "safe" as far as frames go, but if you're near the max range it's pretty safe to end with (plus you can gatling into whiffed 2C or special cancel into Dead Spike). Or with Mu, her 6C is really unsafe if it's blocked from the closest range, even if you cancel it into something. But if you push them out and try to get them to block the tip of it, it's pretty much safe as long as you cancel.

I know it was like a week ago, so you may not remember, but do you have any tips or advice for me from when we played? What do you think I need to improve on, especially regarding spacing? Also any advice for the Mu vs Litchi matchup in particular? I was in such a rush to keep playing you, that I didn't save any of the replays, and I feel kind of dumb for it now. =/

What time are you all going to Matsuri? Also I got to sit down and play MvC3 for the first time at my friend's place today. The game seems pretty fun.

Hello LK, thanks for the games earlier. Fighting you made me realize just how terrifying Litchi really is, and how little I know how to play against her. What do you think I can improve on? Also what are some tips as Mu vs Litchi, other than run far, far, away?

I thought SoD (full) had pretty good frame advantage. I mean, just look at that blockstun. You get stuck FOREVER if you block it lol.

I know CS1 is almost over, but here's a little variation on the 3C, 2B...bnb combo. You know the combo starting from 3C only, where you can go into 6D JC jBC2C, dash 2B, 5C, 6C bomb? Well this is the same thing, but you end at j2C. It works even if you start with (jB/C) 2A, 2B, 3C. 2A, 2B, 3C, 2B, 5C, 6C, 6D, 9JC, (delay) jB, jC, j2C... You can set up orbs or airdash away afterwards. On some characters you may land right after the j2C depending on how much you had to delay jB. But with something like 5D, 6D after the j2C, you can have 3 orbs set up with a perfect "zig-zag" motion.

If you successfully bait a burst, just do 2B, 3C...into combo. If they're up in the air and/or far away, you may have to just do 6A into combo, or 5C 6C...combo. The Mu-12 guide thread has some frame data.

You might like: Dizzy, Ky, Venom, Millia, Testament. Venom and Millia are rather difficult to start out with (charge motions, no reversals, low health, tough neutral game), but Venom is similar to Mu-12 in playstyle. He can zone with balls and keep the opponent in the corner for a long time, while increasing their guard gauge (fills up as you block, if it fills up all the way and you get hit, you get CH and take more damage), and has tons of setups. Millia isn't really about zoning, but she's extremely fast and her oki is some of the best in the game (lol unreactable mixups...). Dizzy and Ky are pretty easy to pick up and they have both those things. Dizzy has some harder situational combos and one FRC that's a bitch and Ky has loldamage but they aren't that difficult overall. And Testament is pretty EZ-mode, S-Tier, and really good at all the things you listed. (This is imo, I'm still scrub at GG)

To be honest Ruben, I have trouble doing her "...homing jA, 623X, 4X, 2AB" most of the time. But maybe it is just a spacing issue. And if you could write some more optimal stuff into the wiki (or just show me later) that would be awesome.

Do you know where PCP is Tubazo? It's a comic/games store in Tempe. We usually meet there Wednesday and Fridays. To be honest, most of us play GG (only a few of us like Jimmy, Ruben, or I really play CS right now), but once Ruben gets home from his trip we'll likely be able to play more over at his place.

I hate grinding training mode with a new character, but I hate not knowing what to do when I actually fight someone...but after seeing some of her hype combos in the last NCI, I want to stick with her. I played with Jimmy, Brian, and Vince at BBCS. Despite, or maybe because of the awful sticks, it was pretty fun. I almost beat arcade mode with Tsubaki, but dat boss Hazama... Also Stacker hype.

I've also found some success using 6A like that. You can still get hit out of bigger pokes or people running all up into you of course, but overall it's pretty low risk.
