From my experience ground combos that have 2c will be short on Jin outside of heat, close range or the corner. 6b 5c 2c whatever ender from there. Can combo mid screen if point blank when 2c is done, with 6c, but likely won't be a scenario with 6b. I would like to know if there is something else here as well. Black hole is ez. Big unblockable ball center stage. Mid screen can be used sparingly as a sort of tech trap. Normal one can't be done in the corner, it won't connect at all and you will die. Or maybe not die, cuz kokonoe. Anyway, in the corner, OD cheap hole is super ez, just do it after an ender. You can do the tsujikawa combo (ez), or the hard one that involves actual black hole damage and proration bonus, it's hard as dicks though. Just do the ez one. And make sure they don't have a burst, though 50 heat for a burst is a fair trade and koko has a great neutral so Mid screen OD hole is strong too cause it sucks hard. Tagers will cry and so will anyone without a good movement, but you don't get much from either blackhole mid screen except corner carry, which is good

thanks guys yay messenga is not full invul only projectile invul on f1... it has alot of priority so once its out its usually going to beat stuff regardless. again it fully beats projectiles no question even meaty projectiles. its punishable on block if youre close enough tager 5c should be good enough punish

I didn't know someone replied to the post until just now. my apologies. tonight was not a great night anyway, psn was being unreasonably slow and the win screen after matches often froze tonight which was unusual. plus lots and lots of the good stuff. lag

Probably more in the 5.5 range. While not entirely uneven, this is definitely a match where terumi's flaws are clear.

I'll try that In the morning, thanks. Hopefully it works. J2b is pretty easy imo, but you use stick right. Must be hard to maneuver it so quickly in opposite directions consistently. The dpad on pad is noticeably smaller and can handle such a feat with ease. It may cause a blister, but that's a problem for another day

Hahahaha. Sorry you had to find out this way - though, this is how everyone found out. It was only a matter of time. It doesn't make you a bad player for losing to that. Working the graveyard most of this week, so no midnight games. No one plays this game in the morning, but I suppose I'll try in the morning clever... If not we'll have to play over the weekend. If the netplay is shit, I will shake my fists uncontrollably and say this game's name menacingly while glaring at it. Looking forward to playing with all 3 of you, lol. It should come as no surprise to anyone that I'll be playing Vatista and Hilda. Perhaps chaos. This game is interesting enough to have multiple subs though.

how does this character go about baiting dp's in the corner rom a 3c knockdown while still coverig tech options? does he have an option select after j2b or does he have to wing it? should I be using another form of knockdown for those dp characters? I only know of the safe 5d setup in the corner vs dp's and most other chars.

Questions pressuring people after an oki or knockdown.

a good way to gain strategy on this subject in general is to watch the top players for any given character in most fighting games. they more likely than not know when they are advantageous or not, and what sort of combo enders will set them up for safe and/or strong oki pressure. this is more of a intermediate subject, as alot of game's true oki situations are not too braindead or obvious, and sometimes requires certain situations and combos the person seeking knowledge must be familiar with. -
Carl is that good. Doll just does not die. The absolute lowest he will be right now is a+. He rose because most others fell, but his small buffs were also important ones. That said, there are indeed several things... questionable with this list. I don't see why litchi and rachel aren't S because they both are still really, really good- though it does appear that rachel is becoming plenty easier to block now, and litchi has more situational damage and corner carry than before, outside the corner. Hakumen should DEFINITELY still be A with that damage alone. The meter nerf hurts him though, perhaps a lot more than expected. Agreed that makoto has not changed much at all and should still be in her own tier. Should izayoi move up? Shimotsuki makes her look legit. Don't know about mu. And what happened to tager , wasn't he A tier? Jin? Why did he go down??

show his this forum and combo notations and videos and all of that shit encourage him to ask his questions facing the world... the bb world. have him post and ask questions and look up his own stuff. combo videos help alot. let him set his own goals by doing competitive combos, aka not challenge mode. get him a terumi combo video, none of terum's combos are particularly difficult, and let him practice. I consider myself a fast learner, and when I first started ct, it took me two weeks to do just a few of litchi's intermediate combos on command. If I went back and played ct right now, I bet I would get those combos the first time, 100% of the time. This is from looking at a 'competitive' combo videos, setting a goal to practice said combos. Getting those combos consistently was the best feeling in the world... at the time. Anyway. A person will remember anything so long as an emotion is attached to it. Make it a stong, positive emotion of Achievement. Learning how to play neutral sort of comes next, but in the meantime, he can flail around but do a combo if he recognizes the hit. That will be an advance.
