  1. These requirements though......
  2. you get a nice chunk of damage heat and corner carry from air hit 5c if im not mistaken, 3.5k at the least and I believe goes up to 4k meterless, this is disregarding lv3 drill which can take this up to 5k easily if that is ever a scenario. its better to go for in this not only because of 6c needing near perfect prediction and accuracy. it is one of his safest scarves to whiff, next to j6c in my opinion, but is more useful than j6c. in general though, the mixup situation from 5b is to 236d b hariken for respectful immediate tech or no tech players. 236d d 5c for those jump happies, and 236dd 236a jb for general up close, will reset pressure. each has their strengths and loses rather significantly to something the other option(s) will beat. if youre not sure id do the hop either going back or forward. or both because he can do that, too. there are more options, like immediate 6d after stance cancel, 214a jc whatever, 236d delay d dash 5b to catch dashes or aggressive jumps... be creative. but the main few are the three above.
  3. Liz seems even more centered on ailments, pressure, and a good neutral. Especially since more of her combos take longer especially in awakening. More time, more poison damage. She still needs a good hit: she will have to do "endless" pressure to annoy the foe into using a defensive option, predicting it and beating face, or score a good hit in neutral. It's going to be slightly better but still very hard in the coming months. Shoutout a to character love though.
  4. Every stage is guaranteed to cause lag. Vita's connection for this game in general is shittier than my niece's diaper. This thread is entertaining.
  5. Can you just... Just hush. Just stop talking. At least when it comes to rachel. Your posts about her are not very well informed. Rachel is an extremely dynamic character whose very combos, pressure and neutral are ever-changing. In what way is moving not one, but several projectiles and different speeds, weights and trajectories as well as moving oneself, omnidirectionally equivalent to a one trick pony. It isn't. Rachel's normals outclass tsu. She has 6a still one of the best anti airs, all her air normals minus j2c are ok, 6b, some winded normals in different situations, 236a, and Pumpkin. Pumpkin alone is Rachel's queen of the chess board. Even if she doesn't have the overhead she still has a very, very good projectile, and buffed normals could potentially be worse than the overhead as many characters already have a tough time getting through her dominant neutral game. I'm not defending her oki because it really is top strength and once on oki, games can get simplified into multiple 50-50. This has always been the case minus one unfortunate game. Confirming oki consistently is not easy for her nor is wind necessarily guaranteed on wake up. Oki outside of the corner is also not guaranteed. Valk has the same plan. So does aigis and what ever other characters exist in this damn multiverse. But from does these three their game plans tend to be dynamic, their learning curves steeper giving more chances to mess up, requiring a resource, thereby not guaranteeing oki, except for aigis basically, and the other two in the corner. I can go on and on and on about this character of whom I basically have a goddamn masters degree on, but I will stop here. I will just say that you should check what you are saying please before posting it. What impression are you giving people who really don't know about her? A bad, misinformed one. Is ja strong? Hell yes. Does it have it's weaknesses? You bet. Does it make her top tier by its lonesome? It certainly help. It would help anyone to have a strong option. But for especially rachel, by no means does it make her one directional.
  6. Seems cool and sort of useful to learn. I only managed to watched the video once while multitasking and can't at the moment. But if it offers a double overhead and some safety it could be legit. Doesn't look like a frame trap though. Indeed forward dash, and switches between this and another voice clip. He's warning is not to press the wrong button.
  7. what exactly is happening here
  8. Thanks. Seems more straightforward with some velvet room staples. Throw DP, midrange ish cards, what is most likely a persona reliance, and high(est) persona cards. I'm not seeing much in the way of zoning from that trailer. At least nothing like full screen cheese. Most everything showed here was midrange or close range. Looks like she's going to be the stern bruiser with an elegant feel. Liz feels more goofy.
  9. Margaret having a suplex was initially shocking at first, and seeing it again, it seems so right. Can't wait to at this char. How is she going to be in the game? Free to play? Dlc? No info yet?
  10. This... Isnt exactly the point. Without the overhead she would be merely ok . With it, she is strong. Very strong. There is nothing gimmicky about it. You're in point blank range and you essentially have to block it. No one in the cast can get out without counter assault or if she left a gap and they in punish, that is it. The overhead is the strongest thing she has.
  11. It's been five plus years. The devs experimented with taking it out, and it didn't work. Whether it was because of all her other changes or sympathy l, it has been back in since after cs. We can say it's silly to keep it in but obviously the creators don't seem to think so. Whether anyone likes it or not, the revs seems to think it balances her for the better, and it is here to stay. Jp players seem to be blocking it just fine. Whether it's jp, North American or even Taiwanese players blocking it well, it is being blocked by humans. It is possible to block. Lastly, think about how many times rachel has to do this in a match. See how long matches with tager take because of his health. Rachel can get close to a time out even if she were beating his ass the whole round.
  12. They did more than tie her hand. Someone bodied her while nago and gii weren't around. It was a set up.
  13. Design I guess. It's been in awhile, it's what they want her to have. With the whole wind thing. They tried a different route in cs with jb stuff, and it's still in. Wasn't nearly as effective as any other iteration. Mu wasn't dumb in cs1? She was underwhelming. Her pokes were sort of lame at the time, that 5c being 16 frames hurt her neutral game quite a bit. Mid tier and I loved the oki at the time. Now it's lame. I did play this color until xntrikcat stole my color. Such a nice guy, I wonder how he is. oh yeah, she did... It was so lame though.
  14. I had to play mu during that time. Very very depressing era of Blazblue indeed. Though mu did her part and won me a shiny trophy, and proceeded to get dumb two games in a row afterward. Looking back though, one would wonder, should he be frustrated with the past game or bored with the current one. Definitely bored. Unless cp rachel was in cs and cs rachel didn't exist at all. Tsubaki was definitely worse and tager is tager at this point, he defines low tier in this game.
  15. Everything about rachel was a shattered doll back in cs. No pumpkin, no instant overhead, no wind, no damage, no pressure, no 6a, td was ass, harder resourced combos for less damage (4k from 100 heat and good starter), barely any good oki outside corner, was cat chair worse? I can't remember, low primers. Without 236a she would have been DEAD. ironic, right?
  16. Wow 11 days. Que clapping audience. Please are these Liz good because if so I would love to watch them. Currently I only know of Damosu, who is without argument best Liz. But who is second in command and so on. A list of good Liz I can look for or videos of known/unknown names would be nice please.
  17. Hey, her pressure got a buff and she has some more practical potent stuff. Mamu combos look easier? It seems more like they just shifted her gameplan so that instead of her being more Rushdown/ meter oriented, she can be more versatile in neutral. She is still far from good but I like this Liz. Could she do just a little more damage? That I will agree with. Liz can compete a lot better than she could have in the first game even with reduced damage and riskier options with questionable merit.
  18. Jesus! That filesize... Better hope I have enough.
  19. TD

    [UNIEL] Hilda

she might be able to zone gordeau but she cant screw up even once and all his buttons once in range have a chance of really screwing her over. because he has several mdrange tools it feels like this match must be played fullscreen at all costs. its hard.
  20. wwhat is it with you and boners?...
  21. I have a dark sense of humor. merely a joke. I know several people who do this as well, and in a higher level I find it sort of silly tbh, due to the associated risks. while some people may indeed have a lack of respect, or so they may think, they are most likely in the minority. please ignore my ramblings. I probably should have added that I wasn't serious. kicking the router is worse than being astraled. now that, is disrespect.
  22. besides certain situations if the foe is using it, they have a complete lack of respect for you or the matches and are itching for some hatemail. so give it to them. with 100 heat most of the cast is able to kill with the heat. so feel free to let them know you know where they live.
  23. that's only because you see it for what it is now. it is entirely possible. let me tell you something, back in ct, I thought rachel could never be bad due to her design, and then cs happened.
  24. Can you stay in the air and simply threaten with j224cc? Seems like a useful gimmick on paper, once in awhile, though I'm finding trouble thinking when you would have the time to do this. Perhaps in preparation of wall spike, or a skewer attempt. Hilda does sort of have to commit once she throws out most normals, and her safer attacks are ironically minus on block - not enough to be punished outright in most cases, though, especially fighting a byak. Oh yes, definitely block though, get that vorpal and then getting in should be ok. Once you're in you can take advantage of the same problem byak has: no defense.
  25. I love it because instant overheads
