taken from the cp thread... ja has a 12f startup. 5a has 11f blockstun so ja is -1, 0, or -3 depending on block, barrier, or ib respectively. 5b has 16f blockstun, so ja is +4, +5, and +1 respectively. completely safe. even if it gets repetitive you have to -guess- between a 10f low and 12f overhead. what happens when the foe stops doing ja and does 2b? you eat a heftier combo, that's what happens. the second bit... sorry, but that is just character ignorance. ja is the cornerstone of rachel's rushdown game. no ja = you're not playing rachel right. the existence of a low reward IOH is to bolster the effectiveness of a medium reward 2b and high reward 3c, and to setup. lastly, rachel does not have to deal with many fuzzies, having a short crouching hitbox and all, she actually deals with less (there aren't many fuzzies in bb anyway). l think you're referring to how many rachel specific combos there are, having the fattest otg hurtbox in the game.

the bigger picture is that the fastest overhead in the game is also the safest. who cares if you only get 1-3k max off it when you can keep doing it with impunity. and, each time rachel does an IOH your life gets worse. unless waking up to a pumpkin/frog is not considered scary anymore? in which case i'd like to change that. it's just a medicore use of meter. as errol said it's easy to escape mid blockstring, air combo does not do it justice especially without ignis. if you want to use duo bios effectively, do it on oki when the opponent has less that 40% health, or you have 100 meter.

The neutral vs aigis is pretty ok, Liz can get around 2b which is arguably her best normal, and it isn't hard to get past shields or really anything else given Liz does the proper strategies on time. Orgia isn't horrible to fight though its still very strong. Personally I feel the problems in this match are megido, very hard to predict and stop, and can't be punished on block. Any Orgia combo hurts a lot, and combined with the amazing mixup she gets it may be only a matter of time before Liz gets hit. Then the next oki will likely kill. This is one of those "don't let this character touch you (especially in Orgia mode)" matches. Back on the teddie matchup, adding "and a few others" was likely a mistake on my end. Teddie is probably in the top 5 hardest as it is. But honestly most characters either can body Liz's strategy or have something inherently strong (damage, oki, whatever) which are two things Liz is weak against. It just means she has to be more perfect than everyone else, I suppose. Oh, and lets not forget about the Liz vs Liz matchup

it is difficult but not as bad. teddie outranges liz and has options against her offense and has a good offense in general. unlike the top 3 he doesn't have that 1/2 attack(s) that > liz clause (though 5b, ja, and 2b are really good vs her), some of his options are more situational and may need careful reads to be effective. despite the neutral being hard liz does get space to think eventually. so yes, he is hard to beat, but not as hard as the top 3 and a few others. still hard though.

her most damaging normal that isnt j2c is what... 6a? which is like 600-700 dmg in cp im not holding my breath for huge(r... lol) combos. l am however waiting for the setups. she has gained more potential for resets with the way her some of her moves work. even if nothing happens, she already has more than enough with a huge chunk of her combos ending in 3 pole bbl + pumpkin + frog or any combination of the three. (btw, l guess 3 pole bbl has taken the place of level 3 j2c, damage wise)

5c, jc, damage output are absolutely amazing and uncontested with the right conditions. steins supplement a gameplan revolving around these two moves. her strong combos are more on the easy side. it is also easy to 'zone' with her at lower levels. because of these points alone, some experience is required to take her down. otherwise shes a decent character with good oki and consistently high damage.

lambda might be a good option, fullscreen projectiles that punish a lot of the cast's main moves. and she can take the initiative on a turtling opponent, keeping the pressure on while actually creating more opportunities for mistakes

l thought the general oki on tager was to IABD before he techs.

the game is like 20 bucks now iirc. that shouldnt set you back too much, unless it will and then obviously you dont get it. but think of it this way. if you sold the game the first time chances are you wont enjoy it for long. go deeper and ask yourself why you sold it in the first place. frustration? lack of interest? money? the answer would provide more clarity on your situation.
