It's all good LVArcher, I'm glad you're sharing your notes. If you don't mind I like to make a video compilation of your combos but only if they're practical and could be used as novice and intermediate combos. I really don't know what to classify as expert since there's really no OD so I guess CS combos would be the extra mile. I'll probably test them all out myself later on and make a group suggestion about which combos should be in the video. This beats navigating all over YouTube and nico for basics so I'm happy.

Would be nice if we could have some more clutch players behind Eltnum other then Senaru. I don't think her learning curve is that difficult and with range as a tool for (optional) utilization she'll most likely always be fine against most match-ups. I'll provide videos after the release of the game and depending on the most competetent player there is they can edit the wiki and so forth. Lets all have fun and show that Eltnum is no push-over.

Long time no see everyone, excuse my poor peformance on keeping the video thread updated, the military is a full time job so I hope you guys can understand. Bad news I'm still in the military so slow videos as usual but good news it will all end in the December-February time frame when I'm free to more updates and providing videos. I like to give thanks to RurouniLoneWolf effort in providing most of the videos in the last few months and other participants as well. I'm thinking of taking all the videos provided in July and just updating from there and calling it caught up at that point and attempt to do my best at more updates that follows. Share any corrections that you may caught through this thread or message me and I'll attempt to make the corrections at that point. ps- the DIE-chan been updated (second post) and I'll continue to work on the other parts while I still have spare time.

For maso Truth be told it is an uphill match when comes to playing Bullet because her approach is far too basic for her own good. We sometimes can't help playing challenging matches when it comes to a character that we really enjoy, well she's more of a sub character for me instead of main. There's going to be plenty of fights that are outside of our hand but as long as we play a little bit more focused things will come easily and Bullet is all about rewarding for smart reads and confirms. Watching your Bullet reminds me slightly of my own but you'll have to work on the neutral. Your defense is kind of okay but you have to be more on point with it and start IB more just to reward yourself on the maximum damage and punish on bad moves. The way you spend heat is questionable at times but enough to make up for it on different routes, I suggest learning the jC route on some of your rapids, command dash, and 22C. Overall smooth performance with minor twerks here and there. Tone down the 3C, I'm amazed you weren't punished for most of them because I probably wreck you on them, apply 4D cancellation more so you don't burn out a stock so recklessly, if you're feeling daring do a 6D or 2D because that immediate 5D is just for momentum, you don't hold it long enough to get the plus frames out of them. Also consider adding 5[C] to get some fatals and plus frames, they'll come in handy for meaty combos or mashers. As I mentioned before, just minor twerks and you should be golden. ps- Tech purple throws.

Believe me I linked him the whole world outside of my presence and left it at that (including dustloop, character threads, popular Japan players, and essential bnb combo videos). I just find it redundant after half a year and possibly some more that there's no menacing force behind his approach, once in a while he'll get a good 3.3k to 4k combo but it's not enough so there's some form of hope I guess. I'm in the same boat like you TD about learning a game rather quickly if it holds my interest, I was competent within myself after two weeks and slowly starting grasping extra mechanics and capitalized on them as the years gone by. The fact that you win or you land that one practiced combo you did in the training room successfully is a fun feeling, I can symphatize with that. I even did your approach too TeeJay. One night will be telling him to apply counter-assaults, another is teching throws, blockint mix-ups, etc. I think roughly a month ago I just decided to stop giving advice and just body the whole thing into him because of repeating myself was getting nowhere. I did change my style before hand to give him a fighting chance so don't consider me too heartless, nowadays I still accept matches from him but I'm playing other fighters while (AH3LM and DOA5U) biding my time for UNIEL. He's pretty good at his job and he brags about his Smash experience being somewhat necessary for the game. I believe I told him one night it could be played competitively but in general the game is more a party then fight for money or kicks. I admit that I was pretty dangerous with Peach but overall I don't think much will carry over into BB like other experiences. Please feel free to provide advice because one day I'll have him read this whole thread and something will click. I think he's still going by Mimeos on DL but I don't know when's the last time he signed on.

So I'm currently in the military and I play games and watch anime, lets fast forward pass that and say that I'm currently overseas and doing the same thing but this time with players that want to actually play the game or watch anime with me. I remember just mashing one night on BBCP or even Extend and people will just come over to watch but you could say they were possibly overwhelmed with the execution and preferred the spectator seat when I'm online or offline with my best friend (This was before S.Korea). I have a friend that gotten into the game sometime in December last year with BBCP and they're clearly interested, enough to buy it themselves like two weeks later. Plenty of nights since he's down the hall from me he would come over to watch some game play against the online scene or mash a couple of buttons with me. Don't get me wrong I did explain the buttons to him on an elementary level and how to look at the character command chart, shown him challenges, and how important it is to look at videos and go through the training room. Of course I knew he wouldn't be at my level of expertise within the first week or two but I worked with him countless nights (3-5 nights out of the week) just telling him how to do this or that or find a character that he's comfortable with. He first went in with Terumi for like two weeks and eventually jumped to Bullet after those two weeks. Shortly after he's trying to learn Azrael and eventually moves to Kokonoe and Ragna to return back to Terumi after a month. Now he's trying Bullet again and says that he's improving but I clearly keep telling him of his same mistakes I've been repeating since half a year ago. How many times do I have to repeat myself or how often do you need to get bodied before it clicks in your head that this is a bad idea; most of our nights 0-50 in my favor and that's alternating between three to four characters to change the match-up. I understand online is not the best place to turn to but I suggest that he goes through them for different match-up experience and have himself realize that his own approach is too flawed and you can't keep telling yourself that you're improving when someone else bodies you other then me. Half a year of training this dude and he's like a level 2 smash character out of 9 and I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or what. I've visited countless scenes and I'm content with my performance I don't mind passing it off to other players to enjoy the game, I believe I'm fairly knowledgeable at fighters and if you could beat me at least 80% of the online community should be a cinch. To make matters worst I expressed interest in UNIEL and made my choices on which character to play and now they're interested in the title. I think it's too soon to get into it because he'll just end up overwhelming himself with two fighters when he can't play BB at an intimidating level. What extra tips can I provide this dude with or is it just a lost cause? Remember half a year of providing my experience of BB, I've been an active fighter since 06' playing MB at a competitive level but we could ignore that part but if it helps it helps.

You're just now realizing how fun she is? Should've just joined the party sooner when you had the chance. I don't know how to do all of this editing business unless there was a manual 101 on this so I clearly just let others do this. Any kind of updated information will help anyone so if you're capable of doing it I say go with the flow and just edit the frame data once it's available. What I like to view about characters other then just browsing their data is the pros, cons, health, and how they're played, and sometimes there background really matters. I'm so bad with frame data I just let someone tell me that that approach is not safe but most of the time common sense just plays a role when fighting and I go off from there. When I think like this it makes me tapping into the character potential in a different approach instead of following a rule book, I just do what feels comfortable.

Ragna Critique and Self-Improvement Thread
Sadeyo replied to Bandit Revolver's topic in Ragna the Bloodedge
I notice I get a lot of 6A confirms too but I don't react on enough of them unless they're counter hit, I blame myself for lack of committing on the hit confirm without the CH state. When it does hit I momentarily hesitate whether to follow up with jC or go into Gauntlet Hades depending on how far they are, the hit stun is so short I miss the opportunity to roll with it but in hopes that the opponent respects the are and tries a different approach. The dash up crush triggers or random ones are just finger slips so there's some salt when that happens but I gain heat like a madman so it isn't much of a loss. I apply CT mid-combos or blockstring if that helps out any. Thanks for the input, I'll find a comfortable universal route very soon for most of the cast when it comes to 6A. Tong I speak with you all day on Skype so you have my two cents on your style. There's a couple of bumps in the road to go through before you're legitimately terrifying but I believe you'll reach it, the whole Bloodedge group is knowledgeable with Ragna through-and-through and this is how far I've gotten thanks to the help. -
For Mudo I don't think I need to tell you about confirms since you know a good chunk of them. If there's any tools that you really need to apply it's that you'll need to sacrifice heat in order to gain heat. With a rush down character like Izayoi you'll need your space or improve your neutral game to the point you gain enough heat for counter-assaults or specific heat gaining combos. Knowing that Bullet is in heat state 1 you're already in a fearful state and raised the leverage on your end increasing your drive range. You applied jD very well as a punishment tool to cover range when Bullet ground game is slightly poor and all of them were well placed, sure you're temporarily exposed but your low profile jumps to cancellations were very smart. I'd be careful how often I throw out 6C or 3C, 3C just have a very long recovery so you'll need the heat to rapid off of it, the low profile is not enough since she has to roll three times before the frames are active and that's enough time for your opponent to defend or punish you on recovery. 6C will obviously be placed after 5C on block or fatal so you have to consider your opponent options when doing it, I think all of your 6C after 5C was punished for stock. Get a little frame advantage with charging 5C and you may luck out with a fatal but if you don't they're in enough hit stun for you to go into any other pressure afterwards. You burst way too soon too, if your defense was slightly improved you could sacrifice some HP just to hold that burst for an OD or burst in general for later in the match. Properly throw out her DP or go for a counter-assault when overwhelmed, Bullet has some very good juggle options so turning the match in your favor won't be that hard. Another important note- Bullet is not your rush down character, she's a punishment character overall. Capitalize on your opponent mistakes and go ham with juggles and man-handling your opponent all over the screen, you're going to be defending quite a lot in most match-ups so that requires a strong neutral game and commitments to confirms. Take on the lighter load of her combos such as the few that will automatically build you one stock or losing one just to gain one again. TRM or blockstring set-ups? Hmm, TRM is a difficult one with Bullet but block-strings. I mentioned it earlier back in the general thread; 6A, jC, 236[A], and 5[C] I believe it was. Talk in the general thread or contact me on Skype and I'll share more types (pms are fine too).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI3N18ZOA-E Ignoring the Equip at the end these combos should still viable from vanilla? I haven't had a chance to experiment with them due to my busy schedule so can someone enligten me? Plus I'm attached to using Sin as an Arcana so I can't wait to provide videos, once in a while I would use Fire.

I'm content with her performance as it is because anymore would be agreeable and much better in the long run but I guess we must play with the cards that we are dealt. I think you're the only one that goes for 5C clashing with projectiles, me on the other hand I prefer using After Burner projectille invincibility and taunting them from a distance after getting a level 2 stock build. Makes them think twice about zoning at that point. Have anyone gotten used to 5C command dash xn? I'm going to start applying that in my combat for better corner carry and slightly some more damage. Any hints would help since the timing is kind of strict. Lately on pad I've been doing 5C mid attack I'll buffer in 4129C and the combination will work at least 90% of the time but I don't if that's my comfort zone within an actual fight.

When Tsubaki is on the defense is her DP her best option of getting out and enough time to gain a stock or two? Please don't consider supers or astrals as a counter option since I'm trying to keep it meterless.

I've probably challenged the Asian community a little bit longer then you but it's quite infamous with how often they do it. I'm calling color discrimination since I deal with it almost every week, there are some players that will make an exception and with considerable skill they'll accept more. If the fight is too one-sided they'll normally leave the cab ashamed they lost to a color less than them. Isn't the purpose of improving is to challenge those better then you? White palette used to be my thing for all the Blazblue's but that didn't quite carry over to well into CP. Now I just choose something that looks pretty cool and stick with it.When players decide to guess who you are you can recognize them (or yourself) by their palette.

lol, those jD rapids are so troll like I never thought of using them to my advantage, when my inputs are too quick for the animation I get them by complete accident and accused of trolling for the most part. I just pick them back up with 5B 6B jC jD just to get back at least one stock or 5B 6B serpentine if I know it's going to kill or need the breathing space. I do like the jump grab reset since some like to immediately tech in the air, reminds me of CT games but a little bit more advance.

For Alkipot vs Rachel- At least you were knowledgeable about afterburner (214D) and the command dash (41236C) having some projectile invincibility, I don't apply them enough but good work. You can learn some of the extended versions of your combos after you get them in the corner such as after the command dash you can go into 5B jB jC 6B sjC jD back into level 1 heat or carry it into level two heat if you don't use the blast after the command dash. I'll post those combo later if you don't know the BnB's off the top of your heard. If you have to tone down on anything I suggest that you don't do jD as often as you're exposed to all kind of counter hits, cancel them with 4D just to drop immediately or just stop your drive in general. Try to instant block more as well. since Bullet is more a punishment character instead of rush down character, you have to keep this in mind. Bump up that neutral game play some more and you'll be fine, your understanding is much better then my own when I first attempted to learn her. vs Hakumen- You were very reckless with the jump-ins but at least the Hakumen didn't capitalize on them, a simple 5D could shut down your whole game play since you are very straight lace with your approach. Learn your combos so that they're second nature and you getting the most out of the punishment. I'm actually a little bit jealous how well you buffer the command grab super after 5C, that's some fast fingers. Be careful with your approach and attempt to IB some more, going in with her is kind of risky but if you know how to micro dash off of confirms or defend immediately you should be fine. Bullet is a very predictable character so keep that in mind, she doesn't get enough options like Ragna so you'll be working a little bit more for some reward.

Playing on my friends profile who's a dark green and having yellow + colors turn you down on matches even if the connection is a 2+. You have nothing to lose, bad enough you're judging people skill on color. Patch this shit out so people can stop being so full of themselves!
-
I'm full of competition with a decent connection of 2s and 3s. Though I'll be saving those recordings until the weekend. For the love of god I wish Homing Cancel were similar to Extended Force Cancel or Rapid Cancel. That momentary pause or air dash messes up everything when you're trying to combo.
-
I guess I can contribute to Weiss and Clarice since they're the only two I plan to invest most of time into. I'm currently watching old combo videos and seeing how much carried over in my spare time, I can write a quick summary of the character stories since I can just turn on the vanilla and do a quick run in story mode or at least browse YouTube and hope for a translation. I wonder if I still know my password to my HomingCancel account? Was the whole UNIEL and AH3LM idea abandoned for this site or is it still up in the air?
-
Does this same logic still apply to defeating Parace and time attack?
-
Going all Weiss in dis biotch! The amount of color palettes and things you can browse, I really want to upload a video now but going in all scrub like is not my cup of tea so I'll be in the training room until next week most likely. Reading up on this whole thread will explain LP and VP, right?
-
I updated some of the first post but here's idea I want to know if it's any good to you few. How about some of our notable Sho players are put into the second post just to separate them from the multiple other players that happen to use them. I can only think of Die-chan being a threat so he gets his own section to himself, anyone have any rejections for that? Our own matches could be moved to a critique thread when the day actually comes (or possibly tournament thread).

If my psn code doesn't make it to me by this week you'll most likely see some footage next week. Finally an Arcana game I can take seriously with some competition

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
Sadeyo replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Yeah, hype down the drain. A sooner release date will make most people happy, like scratch off a month or two. :3 Game play for Nanase would be more hype then just some card at this point, then we could go through half of the community screaming I'll main or sub her.
