  1. I agree. In pressure, I would classify it more as a gimmick than a go-to option. It is not completely unworkable though since if you condition your opponent to expect (stuff) > 3C > jc/2D > (continue stuff) then there is a point where you can maybe squeeze it in. Though yes, on paper and in perfect play, this would never work.
  2. Mm, I see. I was worried about the startup but provided you do actually get them to block then you'll be sitting at a pretty good advantage. I think it has it's merits, plus you do get a pretty good advantage if you get them to block it. Though I do agree that it is very telegraphed and easily jumpable. It could lead to interesting shenanigans though where if you were pressuring midscreen with (stuff) > 3C > 236D > jc and you know they'd jump it to escape, you could go for an airthrow.
  3. I got confused. How does this fare against people who like mashing out DPs on wakeup?
  4. I see. I usually start crying when I end up in a Tager blockstring. Though I think IB Barrier + back step is still the best way out of a lot of his pressure so I like doing that instead of trying to sneak in a reversal.
  5. I think the early punches don't quite have that much hitstun so it's easier to get the neutral requirement for a green throw. And I'm sorry (again), I had the wrong image in my head. I kept seeing 214D when people mentioned 214C for some reason.
  6. Ah, sorry, I assumed it was oki because of the corner part. You could probably make this work with a simple jump-in right? I don't think 2D would cover your IAD that well. And I think with the 214C oki, you'd be better off setting up an unblockable.
  7. Like Kurushii said, it's terrifying to fly in like that because the people I play with also like to wake up DP when I get that close.
  8. Ohhh, right. I derped pretty hard there.
  9. I think I'm misunderstanding something about Tager. Are his normals super cancellable even on whiff?
  10. Damn. That unblockable/crossup/weird setup at the end looked pretty slick.
  11. A meaty falling j.A should probably make j.214B safe.
  12. It's a little hard to take primers away as Relius since all his primer-eating moves involve Ignis specials that take a good chunk of her life bar. Your okizeme is probably the only reliable way of getting those primers down. You could also throw it in pressure, where instead of 3C > 2D > repeat, you do 3C > 236D/214D/214C, though this is a riskier approach.
  13. No worries. Interesting. I'll definitely make good use of these. Thanks a lot Toasty!
  14. 236C RC is actually pretty practical when you're almost out of doll meter. And if she's dead, throwing in the gear super almost guarantees that she'll be alive again by the time your opponent techs. Phenomenally low damage for a 100 heat combo but it does have its uses.
  15. Thanks a lot!
  16. Hooray, frame data. Also, yeah, I think the entire point of his character is that he's not very deadly at all if he doesn't have Ignis out.
  17. What's your standard corner oki like? I know 3C > jD > jC(land) > pressure is the go to option but what are other viable alternatives? The only other one I use often is 236C > Val Tus.

  19. I see I see. Thanks!
  20. What do you guys use to get in on the ground? 2B? 2A? 3C? Lanto? I usually get stuffed by a faster move when I try to dash in on an aggressive opponent so I'm not entirely sure what I should be doing here.

  22. The one I was thinking of involves 236D in the middle of pressure. I think I saw a video where you do 3C(236D) > jc > j.A/j.B/j.C. Not quite as tight as the other one but it does keep your opponent on their toes.
  23. Mm, I see. So there are 2 unblockable setups now. Neato. I should try this one out later.
  24. What's the unblockable setup? Is it the one that involves 236D?
  25. Mm, I see. I didn't know that. 2C it is then. Thanks.
