  1. ^ you can also follow the RC with j.6D > 2B/5C > 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# for variety.
  2. Oh I didn't know about that. Thanks g.Bauer.
  3. Does that actually combo? I thought that had to be off FC?
  4. If you're looking for knockdown, you can do 6D~D > j.B > jc > #j.214B
  5. Flashy combo from one of the all cast combo videos: Mizuchi -> RC on hit confirm -> troll. I've done the chains followup, but I'm pretty sure you have enough time to actually dash in and do 5C > #j214B shenanigans. ~ 2.5k for 100 heat. Totally not practical.
  6. That, or the second set of C mashing is now a link.
  7. 214D~A > 2B/5C could be the new BnB if this sticks. :V
  8. No more Houtenshin after my throws? What is this.
  9. Mizuchi's not really practical unless it's going to kill. Plus you're wasting knockdown opportunity by going for the DD instead of BnB.
  10. I usually deal with ice sword shenanigans by chaining over them. 5A's pretty awesome as an AA. And there's not much you can do about getting out of pressure except learning the blockstring and poking at the holes.
  11. Stop using C as a hitconfirm.
  12. ^ That shouldn't even be that big of a deal since hitting your opponent with the chain brings it back up to 2 again.
  13. Tighter doesn't mean impossible. :V If you really want another hitconfirm, every A looks like it retains its properties.
  14. I'll start looking into the logistics then.
  15. Awesome idea is awesome. :V Just throwing it out there, UCB could probably host a couple of the monthlies in our area if Eudemonia falls through.
  16. Haz fact check: - 3C doesn't gatling into stance. Going into stance after 3C is a gamble since 214D~A can be hit out on reaction, 214D~C needs proper positioning to even work (i.e. pretty bloody close) and with the frame disadvantage you get from 3C being blocked and then the startup to the stance, it's more likely that you'll eat a CH than get to continue pressure. 214D~B is gimmicky. :B - 2A != AA. 5A, on the other hand, works wonders. - You're not looking for damage on that command grab, you're looking for OKI.
  17. Hazama stuff: For midscreen, tech towards him: eat 2A/2B. Tech away: (maybe) eat 3C. Neutral tech: (maybe) eat (command) grab. Forced to block (or DP the fuck out (and then get baited)). Quick tech: (maybe) eat 2A/2B. Forced to block. In corner (and you'll probably be in corner eventually. His BnB has a pretty good travel time), tech towards him: eat 2A/2B (or option select Jayoku apparently). Tech away: Eat 2A/5B. Neutral tech: (maybe) eat (command) grab. Forced to block (or DP the fuck out (and then get baited)). Quick tech: (maybe) eat 2A/2B. Forced to block. He's all about his knockdowns really.
  18. Jayoku is too good of a punish. His oki game is really good (but then again that's old news). His defense is retardedly tight. Like, being in corner isn't even as bad for him as it is for other people. Not sure if it warrants an A+ ranking though.
  19. The anime club at UC Berkeley has game nights on Thursday where BB is one of the games we play. Not sure if the level of play is at what you want, though I'd like to think I'm not too terrible with this game. Mash j.C and hope I get lucky ftw. :V
  20. If I can grab a ride from someone in the Berkeley area then I can definitely make it. I'll pay for my share of the gas, my share of the toll, and the driver's lunch maybe?
  21. Oki doesn't equal free hit. If you're getting them to block/forcing them to tech a certain way then you're doing it right. It's pretty much: get knockdown > pressure > get knockdown > ... 2A is standard oki. Safe on anything so if you're not sure what to go for, just throw that one out. Also has the added bonus of being barrier cancellable just in case your opponent decides to wakeup DP/super. 2B is for catching rolls toward you. TBH, 2A works too but the timing is a little different. Dash > 3C is for people who roll away from you. Pretty unsafe if your opponent doesn't roll back. Every grab is for neutral tech. 214D~A is just another tool for corner oki. Pretty situational but it works from time to time. You could mixup with the B followup too. whiff 5D~D > j.2C works if your opponent doesn't want to tech for some reason. Other than that it's pretty dangerous.
  22. Bait sledge all day everyday. :V
  23. Awesome meeting you too nameless guy. :'D If you ever find yourself in Berkeley, we should ttly mash casuals. Or, you know, hang out or whatever.
  24. Hazama's all about oki. :V There's 2A, there's 2B, there's 3C. There's jumpback > 6D, but it's pretty gimicky. There's command grab plus throws if you want another way to trip your opponent. There's also 214D~A if you're felling pretty gutsy.
