  1. played online on this game for the first time and i was 1 win and 20 losses. The win was because of disconnect. i suck balls at this game but it is fun.
  2. Playing blazblue allowed me to apply fundamentals to street fighter , kof and even tekken. I did not play fighting games seriously till i played blazblue. Played Guilty Gear and soul Calibur 2 when i was in high school i button mashed my way threw them. If it were not for blazblue coming out i would have hated fighting games. When Blazblue came out something made me want to learn how to play that game. Now i can play most fighting games on the basic level with out button mashing. But i still have a long way to go. Never stop improving and just work on being better and learning from mistakes. As many other people in this thread said play blazblue to master blazblue. Kof or street fighter will not make you better at blazblue.
  3. B C D T A X X X When using that layout what fingers do you have on each button? I put my thumb on A because i do not like using my pinky for the distortion. I have just started using the stick so i am not up to speed yet to the same level i was on a pad. I got the hori real arcade pro ex. Is anything i need to know about this stick or it pretty good out of the box. i know it is a square gate and it looks like it is better just to stick with that for the long run.

  6. I am looking for local blazblue players in boston. I moved from the are around Long Beach, CA to Brighton. Hit me up on xbox live or something.

  7. when she uses her projectile it is almost aways a free hit or void in this match up. Hakumen out zones her and you just have to wait for good punishes. I think you can cancel some moves with barrier block when she does the super punch but it might be something else that make it so i can block the special when i already comited to an attack. watch out for going under your 4C when she does that ground slide spin.

  9. i did not have time to figure out a full combo but i got Counter assault 6AB - 623AA to work but i could not get a full combo like a falling C combo to work in the time i tried. But i was only at it for few minutes.
  10. voids help a lot if you can predicted her staff moves it help hakumen control space and nerfs some of her ability to put pressure on you. But this match is straight forward as long you have good defense and wait out her block strings it should leave her open or give you opportunity to get out of some of the pressure.
  11. Beating tager is judging the right time win to jump. to avoid grabs but one must be care of the untechable air grab if they predict you jumping.
  12. I dont do well with the mirror match up some reason i get out zoned when playing. I also have to be careful not to use to much meter and not being able to do some of the more damaging combos.
  13. it seem blocking all day until you can create a void or happen upon a opening are the only way to do the match up with hakumen. sometimes i get impatient and air dash into her swords. i now i need to stop doing that but a i really want to get lamda do bad when i getting zoned hardcore by her. sometimes i airdash and do a air D move but it will be most of the time too far or hakumen to grab lamda but it does cancel the airdash i think or it seems so that when you are being impulsive and trying to get in you can use that to fix your mistake of airdashing lamda.
  14. is it better to stay ground this match up as hakumen then jumping around? this one guy that has a slightly higher psr that i get matched up to on xbox live aways beats me and it is getting to me. I noticed if i stay on the ground i do better and i can beat him or almost beat him but he or she still has the advantage.
  15. mortal kombat does not look special. it is going to be a 2d fighter with 3d graphics. the trailer that i have seen does not dazel me
  16. the arcade infinity matches looked real good. xii did not excite me when i seen videos of matches. I want to try this game if it comes to the consoles. Net code is a concern because not everyone has friend that will play fighting games with them on the regular. raiden seems too powerful. the drop kicks seem dominate the matches that i have seen.
  17. health advantage at the mid to late part of the game is always important in all matches but mu it is really important because if you try to rush her down when they are playing the run away game will make the match really hard. Play it calm look for openings and dont worry about her being across the screen because hakumen has a lot of health and she can't chip you to death if you defend right.
  18. played guilty gear xx for xbox with a friend mashed buttons and lost. Played a little of street fighter 3 on xbox with that friend mashed buttons and lost. played soul caliber for xbox and xbox 360 with that friend mashed and lost. Purchased Blazblue learned how to play the game because i liked the game so much and dominated my friend after after years of losing to him priceless. guilty gear introduced me to playing fighters blazblue is what made really want to play fighters. the art style of blazblue is 10 times better than most capcom and snk games

  20. Just moved to Brighton/Boston from San Pedro CA near Long Beach. i main Hakumen not great but trying to get better. Does Boston itself have much of a fighting game scene?

  22. Justin wong like tatsunoko vs capcom. So i wonder how many mvc2 players would switch over if this game would have got more press and they could get over the tatsunoko characters which are unfamiliar unless you watch anime.
