  1. Not sure if anyone told you this yet, (and frankly too lazy to care) but that's probably referring to the fact that Heavenly Palms of the Phoenix doesn't wall bounce, you know, the way he used to wall bounce you into Daifunka? I'm pretty sure that's the change to prevent that kind of link, but it could refer to burning heart as well.
  2. Yeah dude, thanks for those games. I'm trying to get better, haven't had reliable access to an Xbox in awhile, but having fun none the less. Been working on getting Belial Edge loops going, bit harder than I originally imagined.

  3. AMERICA FUCK YEAH!
  4. You seem to misunderstand. We aren't saying play perfectly. You WILL take damage against tager. We are saying to not be stupid around him. Tager is someone you have to zone correctly. When you do a combo don't stupidly stand next to him. Give him his space. If you don't respect this rule, you end up thrown into the air and taking massive damage. Tager has no guaranteed in. He cannot do a move and be promised an approach you can do nothing about. You need to learn to take advantage of tager's lag time on his moves. Tager is ridiculously slow, he is predictable on his options, and he has a game plan that requires he not combo into his throws, if he wants ANY guaranteed damage. Tager has ways of forcing ins. ALso because you ahve to give tager space, you also are giving up guranteed ins. (because they weren't guaranteed) When you fight tager, until you hit finish you are guaranteed SHIT. I promise you the players that Tager beat were taking risks and making decisions under pressure, and were hoping it would pay off. The problem is, Tager can easily run the clock. If he gets off one throw, you need TWO combos to catch up. This is because on average, you will do two combos for every ONE throw tager gets off. Also, how much damage are you doing with a combo? Obviously not enough, because you should be able to run the board for damage on a hit confirm. You aren't taking advantage of the time you DO get to deal damage to him. If you haven't been doing at least 3.5K, you need to hit training. I haven't even seen you play and I can already guess at what you're doing wrong. He's probably the best character for you to fight, because he will beat you into shape quickly. He enforces good habits.
  5. You weren't outplaying them if you let them get off two throws. One throw happens, and should remind you why you don't do stuff like that. One throw may even be Tager EARNING a free throw. Two throws in quick succession tells me you are doing something terribly wrong. (I.E. Techning in front of him immediately, Spamming any invul move on wake up (Tsumbami Gaeshi immediately comes to mind), not breaking Pink throws (learn to hit throw when you see the exclamation marks and not let pink throws end you. There is literally no reason any pink throw should go off on you.). My list could go on forever.) Learn to respect character options. Only a fool falls for things constantly. (And before anyone else jumps on me, might I remind you I call myself prince of scrubs for a reason.) Learn from your mistakes, and by learn I mean more than acknowledge they exist. Just stating you make them isn't enough, you're merely making excuses and not fixing the problem. Tager has a number of options on stupid people who try to pressure him too much. Good Tager players can instant block into GETB, good Tager players can do a wake up 720 when they see you press that Off the Ground attack. Good Tager players will know your habits, and brow beat you for them. So DON'T have any bad ones.
  6. Its not just you, I absolutely HATE ps3 pad and use the 360 pad with no problems at all. These neanderthals just don't know how to use a GOOD analog stick.
  7. You think that's bad, I haven't done Ragna's challenge mode yet, but I feel like I'm going to be pounding my knee alot when I do. I have only twice gotten a red beat combo with Belial Edge, and I KNOW those are in there...
  8. It just might be possible you have to do Rachel AND Tsubaki to get it... Just like in CT how you had to do everyone else just to get Nu and Hakumen, before you got true ending?
  9. Doesn't Stop Ragna from being a high teir character. Dash Cancelling to 6A has always been one of my banes, but it's necessary for him to do good damage now, especially with Belial Edge. You have to remember, those Challenges are like 10% impractical, 90% necessary to understand how the damn character works in the first place. In Street Fighter 4 the combos weren't practical because crouching jab to super was always more practical than some of that stuff. There is a reason the SF community considers them quirky little fun challenges, rather than a tool for learning bread and butter combos.
  10. The Blazblue Combos are almost all practical, the SF4 ones are almost never practical. That said, I noticed that timing got tighter in CS and actually like that. I can't be so lazy anymore. Then again I was more rushing into combos than delaying them too late, so it didn't hurt me too much in the long run. Haven't had a chance to try challenge mode yet though.
  11. I would be skeptical if they did that. I'm more certain that they might use a character popularity poll before doing so.
  12. The difference here 4r5, is that I'm not saying anyone is evil because they want my money. In fact, this isn't anything like that. This is you insisting that if I can't get everything done with my pad, without macroing a few button combinations, that it's purely my fault, and that I should man up and get a stick if I want a better layout. Sticks are prohibitively expensive, costing roughly 150-200 for a good one. I'm not the only guy around here that will tell you I'd rather pay rent and bills than spend that cash on a stick. Having a stick is a joy, don't get me wrong, but if your entire argument about macroing is "get a stick" well...you aren't arguing, you're trolling at that point.
  13. I have a job, and I still can't afford a stick. You want to front the cash for me?
  14. Because pad players button (not move) macroing puts them on roughly the same level as stick players. Its no secret that the button layout on a stick is far more friendly than pad players, who sometimes have to do gymnastics with their fingers to pull off some button combinations, if they are unable to bind their buttons properly. Its in some ways the same thing as the KKK and PPP macros in SF4 but, the key difference is, that pad players are doing it because it can be a severe pain in the ass to pull off compare to a stick where it is simply and cleanly layed out. If you can't hit the buttons properly on a stick, it's no one's fault but your own. I want you to argue bursting with all four buttons at the same time without a macro is a simple matter. I want you to do this without resorting to palming your controller, just your thumb. Because some of us don't want to squeeze our controller to death, other people gotta use them too, and even further we don't want to have to replace it every three months.
  15. So on principle if I wanted to macro every single move to a button, so I could just hit a button and everything I want my character to do happens, taking any and ALL skill out of the game its no different than linking two attack buttons together? I think you guys are arguing too literally at that point to even consider the ramifications of such an argument.
  16. And just how is binding A+B the same as binding 236236D?
  17. There is a difference between mapping AB or ABC to a single button for pad players, and mapping moves. A huge difference. One requires that you still input proper directional inputs, the other requires that you hit a direction on the right thumb stick roughly when you need the move. One is merely allowing someone working a pad to be on roughly the same ground as someone on a stick. The other is allowing someone to preform moves they might not be able to preform normally, stick OR pad, without requiring any effort on their part. You can argue allowing one button to push multiple buttons is the same thing as macroing moves, but I don't think even you are willing to make that argument.
  18. How many Abel players wanted to bash their skull in when soulless came out as air grab? EDIT: 4R5 that's what we're talking about, you could do the motion properly and have something else come out entirely. I hate the fact that I cannot for the life of me get Juri's ultra to come out reliably, I end up getting the EX fireball instead more often than not. Similar motion, just one more QCF, and usually its not user error its the game reading it as something else entirely.
  19. I've never heard that button binding is frowned upon. Quick Sticking (using right thumbstick) is HEAVILY frowned upon though. there is a reason my friends call it noob sticking. I really only use it when fooling around with a character I don't know, or I'm stuck on a ps3 pad (gods be DAMNED I HATE THAT THING!)
