Unless they give her a decent buff in the final build, I don't think so. She was already this bad in the 4th loketest and they didn't change anything in this one (5C CH->6C is useless and her 3C was already techable in the 4th loketest). The real problem is that they overnerfed her and didn't gave any real or useful buffs to her with the exception of the new j.B. But there's still hope that she may not be this bad in the final build.

It's difficult to still have faith when the impressions says "Endangered Species" and "there was pretty much despair in the eyes of Taokaka players" (from Hiago's translation). And I didn't understand what you want me to explain. Anyway, seeing the Tao changes in this loketest...it means she was already this bad in the 4th loketest and they didn't do a thing except giving her a useless buff...By the good sense they would buff her in the final build, but it's hard to expect something really good when until now they only gave her useless buffs and horrible nerfs. It's not like I don't have faith in Tao anymore, but be prepared for high chances of Tao being the new bottom tier of the game.

We can't even say she got real buffs, maybe except for the new j.B. Anyway what I'm really worried about all those changes is that 5B->6A->2D~B/5D~B become our only way to combo decently at all, specially because 6A whiffs on Hazama, Tsubaki and Mu. I don't see the reason for the 3C nerf, at least they could do a little buff for 6A to combo better after 5B instead of nerfing it. Also, fuck you Cake

From the previous loketest, they said you could only combo after 6C in coner...so unless they changed that, this buff seems pretty useless and situational for me.

Tauntloops can be a joke now, but probably the first taunt still has 110% proration...then maybe combos like 5B->6A->JC->2D~B->taunt->214D->2D~B->5C/22C still works unless the 2D changes fuck this. But 6A doesn't hit Hazama, Mu and Tsubaki crouching and since 3C doesn't combo anymore... Also I don't see how 5C CH->6C can be useful except for coner combo...Also CS 5C isn't as good as CT 5C was.

Well...of 4 loketest the only buff she got is the new j.B (they took out the 6B buff). Unless the new direction of her drives changes something, I don't think she got any new combo starter with the loss of 3C combos. Anyway, I was curious about something...In those japanese foruns, there's not any comment from the people who played Tao in the loketests? Comments like what combos she can possible do or if she's still fine compared to the other characters? I remember that Ronove and Xdest translated some informations like this in the first or second loketest.

I don't think so. Maybe things like 5B->6A->2D~B->taunt->214D->2D~B->22C/5C since you can't combo from 3C anymore and this'll be our only way to combo after 5B

Don't know if people already know this, but... In the 236D->dash j.5D mixup, if you do a foward super jump j.5D instead of a normal jump you will crossup the opponent and the 236D laser may hit him if he doesn't change direction. After the super jump you can follow-up with j.B/j.C->2B/6B(depends how much far you are, usually only j.C->6B works in this situation but j.B->2B/6B can work sometimes)

Hazama has some good options to counter Tao pressure (5A, 2C, 214D~B, Jayoku)...It's not really a good idea to reset your pressure against him in the first place, just make sure you are doing safe blockstrings against Jayoku/214D~B and keep yourself safe after any drive cancel. It's better stoping your pressure and keeping yourself safe than getting hit by Hazama, taking damage and letting him get meter for Jayoku. Hazama can't really zone Tao effectly, you just need to take care about 214D~B while getting close to him. In this case, you can bait 214D~B and punish it with 6C, doing your opponent think twice before using 214D~B. Btw, I loved your new avatar Ronove...even though I liked Extra Caster (~moe) better :3

hun... If you get j.B/j.C/2D CH: land->2D~5->5D~6->j.C->...->9D->2D~C->etc etc. You can also do land->6C after j.C CH as well. For the 2D combo, you don't need to land or CH (but it's pretty rare to combo without CH) From j.A you can do j.A->j.C->...->9D->cat2 loop (3 or 4x, don't remember)

Well...you can do the same combo I wrote using j.2D~Cx2 too, obviously does less damage but still does ~4000 1 taunt. Favorite combo...probably using 22C and 2D~C->2D~A...even though I always use them with 1 taunt.

Yeah...it works fine. However, there are some better non-taunt loop combos to learn, like: 4B+C->214D->44->2D~B->22C->2D~6->2D~C->2D~A->8D~5->6D~6->j.C->...->9D~9->3D->j.236B->3D->j.236Bx5 (3850 tauntless, ~4200 1 taunt, ~4300 2 taunts) I think it's a good combo to train, you learn the 214D->44->2D~B timing (214D->j.4D~B works too), 2D~C->2D~A combos and does big damage.

It's not like 2D~C in combos are hard anyway...I think It's even more confortable doing like that than the combo you posted. Also it helps getting the time for drive cancel training combos like that.

Try 4B+C->(214D->44->2D~B->taunt)->236CC->2D~9->2D~C->j.C->9D->3D->236Bx5, and the 9d's are supposed to be hitting.

Yay, congrats man...even though this forum is semi-dead and doesn't need a moderator at all...we are all good non-troll kittens Anyway, recently I have been trying to bait bursts while doing taunt loop...and I must say it's going fine...but I never have time enough to defend burst->land->taunt, the opponent always land before I can hit the taunt even if I IB the burst 3: (most of time i tried this was against Hazama and sometimes against Jin). Any help on this? Also, anybody else is having problems to AB2 combo against Valk?

The only situation this can really happen is if Tao in ground is really close and Lambda does a anti-air sword from nowhere (CT feelings against Hiago) But the matchup is pretty bad for Lambda anyway.
