First, Tao is a woman...not a guy :3. 4k of "any little hit" is a bit exaggerated...off j.C/j.B she gets ~3.5k (taunt loop), 2B = 2.8k (taunt loop...even though almost nobody do taunt loop after 2B), 2A = ~2k etc etc...and those are much easier to hit than 5B, grab, Drive CH or 6C. About getting 7k from 6C...seriously, it's pretty rare to land 6C in a real match...I would complain more about getting +4k from 2A/2B in coner with AB2 than about 7k from a starter like 6C. If you are getting hit by 6C too much...then something is very wrong.

  4. Nah...I tried but it's more easier to do 3C->5D~B->5C->236A or 3C->5D~6...and prorate doesn't affect CatSpirit 2 damage at all
  5. In this loketest, basically she only got nerfed since the 6C CH wall bounce is a retarded buff. In general, the only real buffs she got is the new j.B and grab range increase...and I loved the 6B buff... This loketest changes means that: -No more 3C->5D~B ou 5D~6 combos or oki after 2A/2B->5C->3C -Our only combo after 5B now is 5B->6A->JC->2D~B or 5D~B...at least I hope the 2D changes don't affect this...but since 6A doesn't hit Hazama, Tsubaki and Mu crouching...and Hazama already was a pain in the ass to combo. -Taokaka 6A as anti-air won't be so good anymore...but it wasn't that great anyway and the damage was low . -Her CA sucks now -If the D~A cancel recovery has increased, there's a possibility that 2D~A combos don't work anymore. ...I think they overdid with the nerfs this time. I don't see the point of most of those nerfs.

I think Tao can still combo from 22C or 5C (22C is better) after a 6A->2D~B (if the 2D changes doesn't affect that), in CS a tauntless 5B->6A->2D~B->22C would do ~3600, but the damage is lower now since you can't do Cat2 loop and 2D~C->2D~A combos anymore. Also it seems that her first taunt still have 110% proration, so I think you can still do 1 taunt combos. The real problem with the 3C nerf is that Tao 6A doesn't hit some characters crouching if you start the combo with 5B (j.C/j.B->5B is fine, unless against Mu) so 3C combos were more universal and easier. Tao also loses some oki (probably her only oki without taunt loop oki, but it's gone too) and 2B crossup with 3C nerf.

  12. I doubt they will ever change that...but I wouldn't complain if combo against Hazama and Litchi was easier. Anyway...are those the only changes in this loketest? It's pretty obvious that the person who wrote those changes don't understand Tao at all since he wrote the 2C->3C thing, so I expected to see other changes.

  18. My god...what have they done to Tao? Dude, most of those changes are fucking retarded...really, what's the point of nerfing her j.D like that if she already have low HP and 4 primes? Also 6C is basically useless now if you can only combo from it in corner...and what about 2C FC combos now?
  19. With her new j.B and some drive changes, we don't know exactly how her combos works now...it's hard to tell if it's something good or bad.

  21. I think this need a topic, right? Well...for the first time today I fought against a very good Valkenhayn...it was awesome to meet someone that could do all his combos without problems. Anyway, this matchup seems kinda annoying for Tao. Valk's 2C is a fucking good anti-air against her, I found myself falling for it a lot of times until I get used...it gives me Nu's 2C feelings. Valk seems to beat Tao air-to-air completly, his j.B beats both Tao j.C and j.B and he still get a pretty good damage from it. I didn't see any good advantange in this match for now since getting close to Valk is difficult since you have to be careful about his 2C. For God's sake he doesn't have any DP, so you can pressure him fine But anyway, I still need to get more experience with this matchup...but for now this seem a very unconfortable matchup for Tao.
  22. Yes, they are appicable to TL ender...I guess you can even do 1 more repetion using it sometimes. Overall, 22C combos does more damage since it prorate less and you can do more drive cancels in the combo. For example: 5B->3C->5D~B->5C->9D~9->2D~C->j.C->etc etc = ~3300 5b->3C->5D~B->22C->9D~9->2D~C->2D~A-> etc etc = ~3700 Also the damage difference between 22C combos + 1 taunt and their taunt loop counterpart isn't that much (except for 6C, 2C FC)
  23. 6D~6->j.C combos are still a pain in the ass against Hazama, Litchi and Mu, you need to delay them a lot...I don't see much character specific difference between 6D~6->j.C and D~B->5C(->236A), but the first one does more damage. For some 1 taunt combos: 4B+C->214D->4D~B->taunt->214D->22C->2D~9->2D~C->2D~A->9D~5->6D~6->j.C->...->9D~6->3D->j.236Bx5 (~4100, you still can do a extra Cat2 for ~4200) Basically, this same formula works for another setups or you can do them tauntless for less damage: Neutral Throw: ~4300 Air Throw: ~4100 5B->6A: ~3800 (3900 using 2 taunts) Even though they nerfed taunt loop, I think they didn't nerfer the first taunt 110% proration. I'm using some of those combos in real matches because I got tired of hearing "You do 4k when you shouldn't even do 3k"
  24. Hun...5B->3C->D~B>22C works on Carl and Hazama at all? Midscreen I only get it when I'm too close.
