  1. IIRC, it's after the events of GGXX.
  2. It'd be funny to see run up VV (at the start of the round) blocked by Eddie, then Eddie does S summon for CH into 100% dizzy into Instant Kill.
  3. Depends on the match up, but usually I find a backdash the safest option.
  4. Kill yourself. >:o Does anyone know what the Player/Editor's name is? I can't read kanji, so I'm kind of hopeless on the matter. EDIT2: Nevermind... I got it now.
  5. Don't forget that you're likely to be getting hit by other normals that do less damage in between CLSWs, so the damage will still be lower than those 4 CLSWs. If it wasn't late I'd do more testing. Do you remember what combo you were hit with that did a full 420 points of damage? As for Eddie 100%, you factor his unblockables in as one combo. Triple unblockables do 90% easily to most of the cast, and 100% to characters with lower defense. He also has 100% dizzy combos from some set ups, which, at that point, he'll be able to finish you off with one more combo or even an instant kill in some situations. A 90-100% combo is much more likely to happen for Eddie than it would Sol.
  6. Unless I'm reading it wrong I'm pretty sure he's saying he thinks Sol is better than Order Sol. I also clarrified in my post regarding guard meter (Sol cannot normally do 100% combos without guard meter). I'd imagine you were playing a low defense character as well in order for that to happen, considering the amount of guard damage plus forced proration on CLSW. In other words, it's more likely for a character like Eddie to land a 100% combo than it would be for Sol.
  7. In most tier lists by the Japanese, Order Sol is usually ranked one tier above Sol or at least equal tier at worst. Early versions of the tier list had Sol ranked very high, but that's to be expected when his combos are easy to do and produce good damage for very little effort. The game has evolved since then, and Sol's rank in the tier lists has generally dropped due to other characters' potential growing or being realized. Personally I would have to say OS is more solid of a character than Sol is. While OS doesn't have the damage that Sol has, he's faster, has better normals, has a better mix up game, and has better match ups compared to Sol. I've never heard or seen Sol killing anyone in one practical combo (practical being the key word). I can see potentially 100% dizzy combos on certain characters, but without a dizzy, a lot of meter, and/or guard meter up, Sol cannot do practical 100% combos. Currently the only character that can kill anyone or almost anyone in the cast with one combo would be Eddie. Sol's worst match up would probably be either ABA or Eddie (probably 4-6 for Sol). Everyone else that gives him trouble would probably be a 4.5 against him at worst.
  8. Masa and Daigo were the Sols to beat back in the day. Then #R came out, Masa retired, and Daigo sucked. wwww
  9. 70 dots/pixels. Most characters have a normal throw range of 43-45 dots.
  10. GF is jump cancellable? News to me.
  11. He plays OS now. A lot of American Sol players seem to be moving on to different characters now. Juicy, ID, and TB/BoF all play OS now. Currently I'm trying to pick up Eddie and drop Sol as my main. Only American Sol players I am familiar with now that still play Sol are r0b0t and Simon.
  12. What? Ky? I'm pretty sure Isa has been playing Eddie recently.
  13. Cameras explode from my awesomeness when I play, so footage is not possible. George = Juicy G.
  14. LIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS x
  15. Too bad he doesn't play Sol anymore. I win by default.
  16. Probably on DVD in Japan.
  17. Well, it makes for Kaqn... he's always been kind of a tier whore (Millia in XX, Jam in #R). Not sure why he stuck with OS in Slash, but a lot of players felt that OS still had a lot of potential to grow as a character so I guess that's why he stuck with him (not to mention AC was announced shortly after SBO of that year, and it was safe to assume OS would be getting buffed). Before SBO there were those Ogawa vs Kaqn videos and Kaqn was getting owned a lot, which made him really sad, apparently. His team's performance at SBO wasn't that great either. I'm guessing all those things, with Millia being a better character and all, factored in to him wanting to try Millia out in a major tournament. As for Isa, Eddie is much more rewarding to play than Sol, so I can see why he wants to switch.
  18. Not so sure about that. If you check DF2 qualified teams, Isa qualified with Eddie and has Kaqn playing Millia as his teammate.
  19. You will see how good his Eddie is once you download them... whenever that may be (lol your internet suxxorz). I was pretty impressed.
  20. It'd be pretty lulz if 012 and P.C started playing Eddie too.
  21. Isa Eddie is beastly~
  22. lol~ His Eddie is beastly. He should stick to playing him.
  23. Eh... for some of the top characters, yes. Everyone else had shifted around a bit (mainly high-mid to low characters) one top players started releasing their own tier lists, but that's a different discussion entirely.
  24. Who knows? Who cares? Match up chart from one machine =/= tier list. ~_~
  25. zzz post info or gtfo
