  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsTqGfCJVRI only WT8 vid lol~ (and I don't play like complete shit either) Also, I'm Asian/White... so I tend to use colors of Japanese players I like... I used to use the one P.C used, but he's been scrubbing out lately so I switched to 012's color. I'd use Isa's but he doesn't play Sol anymore. Don't watch the CUT videos. They're embarrassing as fuck since I hadn't played the game since Evo before that tournament. ~_~
  2. There's videos of me from the CUT tournament where I played like complete shit except for one match (even then it was pretty shitty). The most recent match of me playing is vs. Nerina from West Toast 8... which is me playing pretty well (but lol I turtle). They're on youtube. @_@
  3. Two Fafnirs >>>>>>>>>> everything cus Fafnir is the coolest move ever, am i rite?
  4. Osaka B is my fucking hero.
  5. I think he was talking about Ken I (Sextaro), Koogyfag.
  6. Hellmonkey Eddie is strong. Flash is just a hater. Fun fact: I yelled at Hellmonkey to play Eddie first. I sealed the deal saying I'd give him a dollar to play Eddie. Guest professor Spirit Juice Also, don't watch my videos please. They're terrible. I haven't played seriously since Evo before that tournament and I was in scrub mode x1000. D: LAUGH ALL YOU WANT. FUCK YOU NIGGAS. ;___;
  7. Like I said, only Venom has an easy time building up guard bar. Mostly everyone else has to work relatively hard for it, which is why, out of all the lists to far, Venom's is the only one that mentions his ability to build guard meter.
  8. I don't think guard guage damage combos are taken into account in max damage combos unless the character can do it without much effort (i.e. Venom). Unfortunately, Sol's guard guage build up in AC was severely nerfed now that GF doesn't build guard meter. It's difficult for Sol to build up guard meter without GF FRC, and even when he has meter to burn GF FRC on, he has to limit his options to attacks that won't push him too far from the opponent so they can't jump away from GF FRC.
  9. I'm pretty sure Kugler has died and completely forgotten about this thread, including what its original purpose was. EDIT: I'm render
  10. No one wants to see scrubby Jams play.
  11. Flash: *mashing to get out of dizzy, hits start* Heckler: Disqualify him! Cue: I already won. Heckler: Oh. I didn't see. ... Disqualify him anyways!
  12. I'll look over it and comment when I can.
  13. lol Way too easy to bait. In any case, links to said videos would be nice since not all of us read moonspeak and lurk Japanese BBS every waking hour of the day.
  14. Gee golly willikers! I can't wait to see Sol players do some huge damage stored sidewinder combos! That'll sure be swell!
  15. I give up. It's pretty clear you're not getting the whole picture and keep running in circles; I'm sure others would agree. In addition, you're taking offense to a sincere question that I meant no harm in asking. I wasn't being rude in any way, shape, or form, and you misinterpret my question and proceed to be rude to me.
  16. You're clearly not grasping the point I am making in my posts. I'm not sure how much clearer I can be. Character difficulty is not a factor when ranking a character in tier lists. Yes, May's dolphin loop is a factor in why she's ranked the way she is, but the difficulty of the loop is not. I'm not sure why you're unable to grasp this. Also, I was asking you a sincere question about your English. It appears that English may not be your first language, so I inquired about it in hopes of seeing if it was the reason why you're having a hard time understanding me. Furthermore, don't lecture me about grammar when there are many grammatical errors in your posts as well. That last sentence wasn't so sincere, but don't be so rude to people.
  17. Uh, no. Read again. I said a character's difficulty curve does not factor in to their ranking on tier lists. Having good oki, mix up, high damage combos, etc. does. The difficulty of said oki, mix up, high damage combos, etc. does not. Is English not your first language?
  18. Maybe I didn't understand what you meant, so maybe you should be more specific. From what you said you make it seem like you said having easy, high damage combos should make his rank go up. I'm not sure how I could have misinterpretted this. If character difficulty was a factor in a character's rank on a tier list, then Eddie wouldn't be S tier for sure. Unless the character's best combos are all 1 frame links (thusly making them highly impractical), the difficulty of combos is not a factor in determining tier lists.
  19. If you bothered reading what I posted after the list I specifically stated I wasn't sure on some characters' listings aside from a few. ABA could've been B tier by the time Slash ended, but I can't remember.
  20. Uh... barely. I only remember bits and pieces. I'll try my best though. S - Ky A - Sol, Testament, Faust, Potemkin, ABA B - Chipp, I-No, Slayer, Anji, May, Baiken, Venom, Johnny, Axl, Millia, Jam C - Order Sol, Eddie, Zappa, Dizzy, Bridget D - Robo-Ky I know Ky was S tier for sure. Sol, Testament, and Faust were A for sure. I remember Chipp, I-No, Slayer, and Anji were B tier for sure, but I've heard of Anji being ranked A sometimes as well. Everyone else between A and B may have been A or B. I know Order Sol, Eddie, Dizzy, and Bridget were C tier for sure, and Robo-Ky was D tier for sure as well.
  21. IIRC that last "official" tier list for #R went something like this: S - Eddie (lol) A - Jam, Slayer B - Robo-Ky, Millia, Dizzy C - Sol, Bridget --------"survival borderline (or some shit)"-------- D - Axl, Venom, Faust E - Johnny, Baiken, Potemkin, Testament F - I-No, May, Zappa, Ky G - Chipp, Anji I know S through C are the characters I listed for sure. I know Axl was D tier for sure, and Chipp and Anji were G tier for sure. Everyone else I can't recall for sure, but I think it was what I listed.
  22. Koichi: that tier list/match up chart is ancient. I mean, look at Slayer, May, Millia, and Robo-Ky on that list. Since then they've moved up in tiers (the first three consistently A rank, with Robo usually B rank). I wouldn't use that as a reference at all. Tiamat: From Slash to AC Sol got nerfed a lot of ways. In fact, his only two significant buffs were the way SW works and untechable time increased on his air throw. His play style is still the same, which tends to be his biggest fault here. All in all, it has to do with his play style, character design, and what other (better) characters gained over him. On the topic of Sol's playstyle, it's something like damned if you do, damned if you don't. Sometimes you're going to need to take risks, but in Accent Core those risks can lead to you eating a +50% combo. It's unfortunate that some characters can play safer than others to get big damage while Sol has to take more risks than others, but that's just how the game is now. It's a design flaw with Sol right now, and no player can make up for that unless they guessed right 100% of the time (which leads to theory fighter). While it may be true that the top three Sol players have fallen from grace (which would be a big coincidence that all three cannot adapt to AC), the same argument could be made that Sol was nerfed while a lot of other characters got better, which is why Sol may not win as much anymore. Either no one can adapt or Sol was nerfed/a lot of characters got better both lead to the same result: Sol seems a lot weaker in this version. Saying the players did not adapt is pretty subjective. Again, look at Ogawa in Slash; even he couldn't make up for Eddie's faults, despite being the best player in Japan. I'm not sure how by watching those two videos would make anyone think OS vs SO was 6-4 for OS unless they were ignorant about the game and its characters. Judging a player based on two videos, one being a tournament and the other being a casual game (and he played well in both and both were close games, despite the oddly placed Dragon Installs), isn't really warranted. Those are only two of hundreds of matches he's played in AC, recorded or not, so judging him off of those doesn't make any sense. The game has been out for almost a year now, and the game and its characters have evolved quite a bit. It's safe to say that some characters have reached their growth potential, Sol probably being one of them since he pretty much plays the same since XX with only his combos ever being changed. Remember when AC first came out? Sol was ranked something like S- tier, while other characters like Slayer, Millia, and May were ranked lower because their potential wasn't known just yet. As the game evolved, a lot of characters moved up and down the lists as their potential became known. Sol... well... he didn't really grow in potential, so he fell in the tier lists. Factoring in a player's skill being related to how good a character is is completely subjective and drifts into theory fighter territory.
  23. I had forgotten to take Sol's play style into account, but it seems as if it's not an issue when making tier lists (or at least in this guy's posts). I do agree it's one of his biggest faults, though.
  24. How easy the character's combos are never a factor in to their ranking on a tier list.
