  1. We were pretty sure Nerina accidentally paused the game, but since he was up one round already we just reset the game for that match. On a side note, please don't watch me play in the team tournament. I played fucking god awful all day that day. ~_~ But then again that may happen when you have four hours of sleep and just spent nine hours driving down to Los Angeles. Also, if you guys have any constructive criticism on my commentary, please let me know! Being that this was my first time ever doing commentary, I know there's room for improvement.
  2. That's exactly what happened.
  3. GO HOME POTEMKIN x
  4. GRAND VIPER x
  5. tl;dr Just kidding. I'll read this later and may possibly add it to the original post. I'm still at West Toast, so I don't really have time to read all this.
  6. Sol's j.P is like #R Eddie's j.K but with shorter range.
  7. It's slightly different because of hit stop, but not by much.
  8. A lot of good players will jump out of 2D -> GF FRC, but it really depends on the move you use before you GF FRC and how far you are from your opponent.
  9. I don't think you can link GF into another GF in #R, even if you manage to hit the opponent with the very last active frame of the move.
  10. Random GV is about as risky as random VV, but can have better reward. The only problem is that pulling a big risk like that in AC can leave you open for a huge combo. Grand Viper has a high risk to high reward ratio, but guessing wrong could definitely lose you the round. In the end, it's really up to you if you want to take that risk, and if you can out yomi your opponent. And no, Hatred Edge, not everyone would be mashing dat GV if P.C and Isa were doing it all the time. P.C and Isa both lost pretty hard at SBO because one too many random GVs.
  11. P.C was more or less carried into finals by R.F and N-O. The only person he managed to beat was Mike, which is a great accomplishment in itself, but the rest of his games he scrubbed the hell out. 012's SBO performance last year was very solid overall, and the games he did lose was because he got outplayed, rather than scrubbing out.
  12. Other food for thought: soge = abbreviation of kuso (shit) and ge~mu (game)... so "shitty game". I guess you hear this a lot in Japan at times, especially with characters like Potemkin around!
  13. You guys seem to forget about 012. Very solid overall Sol and is probably the best Sol now that Isa switched to Eddie. Merging this thread with the Japanese Sol player thread.
  14. For future discussion, let's try to not refer to any "original JP console" release combos since they're not exactly important anymore; no one plays the bugged Japanese version anymore.
  15. I'm still in disbelief that an account was deleted because of a god damn combo video and its music. That's really, really sad. I was reading their TOS... I don't think this will help the situation any, but you may want to look into it. B. Counter-Notice. 16. I deleted it because it doesn't have anything to do with Sol vs Potemkin. Irrelevant posts will get deleted. EDIT: Undeleted the post, but just keep on topic, guys. This topic is specifically about Sol vs Potemkin, not Slashback mechanics and general game mechanics.
  17. Let's see some Juicy G vs Mako.
  18. get a better cameraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~
  19. Who recorded Flash vs Latif? Shit hurt my ears; buy a better camera. D:! Hype shit though.
  20. You can't SB on wake up.
  21. IMO, the safest thing to do against 6H is to just IB or block it. If Pot does Slidehead after it just do Riot Stomp. Easy! The only thing to watch out for is 6H -> FRC, Pot Buster, but that's more of a mind game than anything.
  22. I was mistaken. ;o
  23. Grand Viper. Duh.
  24. Who does forward OS throw?
