Oh hey strangers. It's been a couple years since I've posted probably. Taking this fantastic snow day to get myself a jp psn account and make all that happen so I can get bbcp up and running. My ps3 doesn't read discs anymore and it doesn't seem like there will be a US digital release at this point. Seems it'll cost like 114 to get the psn card so I'm just wondering if anybody else still didn't have it yet and wanted to go in. I'll check back in a couple days.

not sure on the whole tager "buffs" thing. haven't seen the changes in action but on paper my initial reaction is "oh great, make my character rely on even MORE ridiculous yomi and gimmicks rather than giving me actually good moves". make spark bolt come out on trade dammit.

it was good to see everybody yesterday. Had we done a singles tourney, BB would have actually had more people than MK. So keep that in mind cause everybody says "MK is so hot right now" and absolutely nobody shows up to support it. I'll make sure this is stressed as we move forward with the tournaments (i.e. dropping mk as a tournament game before BB). matches were good. crown, i will reteach you the tager match from a footsies/ib perspective and I can show you like a thousand gimmicks too and the extremely simple ways around them all. LPT, yo damn those rachel buffs and me not knowing anything about them. i think i blocked a consistent barrage for like ten seconds at one point with no other recourse. Damn my gigantic hitbox and all your flying stuff. next tourney everything will be even smoother and i'm hoping we can get more of you guys up here. make sure to tell capsule or myself any comments/concerns/ideas you may have too.

AE has 3 C. Vipers in top 8. given that it has more characters in it, by far, than bb, not really such a big deal that there are 3 noels. I mean, 5 out of 8 spots are two characters? what's that noise about? the marvel matches i saw yesterday were pretty hot. in non evo news, i'm liking how the new dustloop appears to be autosaving what i'm typing periodically. PWA tourney August 6th, people. GG side tourney, BB 2v2, mk and ae singles, and mvc 3v3. I believe the 5 dollar venue fee gets you 5 bucks in tokens to spend during your down time as well.

Yo Vyers, where you at, I need my copy of MvC3 back. Also, don't forget, kids, PWA tourney August 6th in Pelham, NH. Take the day off from work and come compete in Ae and mk9 singles, bb 2v2, mvc 3v3, and the gg side tourney.

i was hoping will and his friend would actually be better in garou, but i guess it'll be up to you and me, vyers, to bring the garou heat. will and laurence are only on srk though, which is coincidentally where you are not, lol. yeah mvc3 is turning into mvc2 very quickly in terms of character selection but it's still fun to play/watch. get the tron stuff stuff stuff into gustaff flame jc M H S 45 degree beacon bomb, king servbot super, mash H (until it comes out and hits) cancel into lunch rush for stupid damage. next week i'm going to put my ps3 on AH3 all night again.

Laurence and I chatted with Adam after PWA on tuesday. We peeped the board. It's Vampire Savior. So get crazy hype for that. Honestly, PWA has a TON of stuff in the back that's just waiting to be fixed and prepped. They've only been open for about 5 months but they are saying that things are going pretty well. they've got some big plans for the future too. nuclear, playing ah3 with you was much better than trying to play gg with you. i do want to see the punishment loop stuff but i had to make sure I played tim in bb before fight night ended. i don't really know a lot about the game but i'm trying to figure stuff out. i need to spend some time with the cast and see who i like. i do apologize that the segue wasn't super smooth. tim, we need some "ok, we're gonna play for serious" as if we are buppa and galileo or something bb time.

as far as machines go, i believe there is a darkstalkers and a killer instinct in the works.

PWA Tuesday Night Fights is on tomorrow for non ECT related matters. We have, I believe, officially gone weekly. Also, they are getting an ST machine with sanwa parts. hope to see some fellas there. I'm gonna have my ps3 running AH3 all night.

those babies just look like they are having so much fun. how could that game be bad? Also, Come On Baby at Pinball Wizard is pretty fantastic and that isn't even sarcasm.

I won the sunday BB tourney at PAX East. Also, seems PWA going weekly now. Vyers, i'm gonna sit you down in marvel next time and show you some of the finer points of marvel to return the favor to you since you are good about showing people things about GG. I'll let you borrow my copy if you want, too, since i'm playing more AE and AH3 these days. i watched the top 4 for kof13 from revelations. sweet stuff. no maxima made me sad though.

I was literally standing there figuring out gatlings/chains and special cancelable moves and Mike Z, my original tager hero, had to kick me off the station I was on to do a press interview. he apologized a bunch and I said it was ok. Also, Vyers, I'm going BIG into KoF13 when that drops and I work in Portsmouth and live just outside of it so we should be able to get some good matches in that. PWA Fight Night tomorrow. come revel in the post Japan-owning-America glory. Tokido running AE and MvC3, Daigo and Mago taking top 2 in AE on the other coast, and Satoshi blasting everybody out of the water.

when i played skullgirls at PAX East it seemed super fun and deep. ratio system for 1 strong or 2 weaker characters, 6 button layout, frame buffer inputs, interesting way to deal with infinities, and the two characters seemed to have strong yet balance movesets. I'm really looking forward to skullgirls. I've also been playing some AH3 lately since my promo code from aksys finally worked. what a cool game. tons of stuff to figure out. ggs crown the other day when we played. we need more peeps playin on dat psn side for BB.

MK is singles, no teams. we threw around the idea of doing the 2v2 tag matches but realized that the mode is super broken and dumb. Also, this place is an arcade so there are a ton of other games to play and a movie theatre right next door that serves you food while you watch. it's a pretty interesting spot.

only two people show up to play GG. we'd love to have more and a GG tourney isn't out of the question. A side tourney could be a possibility if a member of the community wants to run it and there's a tv free. but yeah, June 18th. who's down?

good to see more players. come to pinball wizard arcade in pelham NH this Tuesday from like 5 to 10 for games and leveling up.

game updates that are free shouldn't be affected by the psn outage, as the psn can still get to the internet i believe. you just can't access the store to get platinum. and if they really entered the "final testing" stages this past thursday, it should be back up by this coming thursday unless something goes wrong and they break the build or whatnot.

play less, and get good at it. then keep branching out. get those makoto mixups going and pick up those 6A anti air combos.

I'll be there sometime between 5 and 5:30 in all likelihood with a ps3 setup and two sticks.
