  1. ^ he's not lying. NH actually has some things happening. and several of us are trying to level up for that new england revolution in september...
  2. I saw pilgrim versus the world last wednesday at a prerelease showing in newington. it was pretty sweet. also, like capsuletoyco said, 5 dragons nashua tonight.
  3. oh yeah. spread the word and get everybody there.
  4. i like the idea of teams. 2v2 could be sweet. i can only attend sunday though.
  5. ^^ this. my tager needs to learn the new blockstrings for IB punishes and my carl (and i've been dabbling in makoto) need some serious beatdowns to make get them out of nub territory. edit: i clicked the vid in kona's signature again... hype dog does rule but i think the next one should be this.
  6. thursdays are every other week. so this coming week is a break. tuesday night we'll have a saltmines though. peep the info here. I'm going to be at a conference for the next two days but i should still be there. pingas and capsuletoyco should also be in attendance. to quote ping before he says it, cause someday he will, "that dog is broooooken".
  7. oh shit. the sbo quals. i totally forgot about them. are the vids up yet? and yeah, ragna can straight troll everybody into astral all day long.
  8. looking forward to IBfest 2010 with tager next week. PSN: komradekraig
  9. yeah, i'm dreading running into good litchi players. the matchup looks so frustrating and she just keeps doing flip kicks and adding up the damage right into staff super. her corner pressure seems ridiculous. no, the lambda matchup won't be impossible nor will it be the worst for tager. i think hazama, litchi, carl, and potentially mu will be the tougher matchups from what i've seen. as far as lambda goes, the points you bring up are correct. i'm looking forward to playing the tweaked cast. Hazama's zoning looks very strong against tager but i think tsubaki is gonna have some real problems against his life and damage output. tager isn't THAT immobile this time around and the end of every combo no longer blasts your opponent across the screen (and even if you do end with 5D you can gadget cancel it).
  10. I remember reading this info too and i got really excited. problem is that the info is really old, potentially from the later loketests. people just knew how to play tager better than people trying to figure out how to play lambda. from the more recent matches i've seen it's nowhere near as bad as nu v. tager but it's still an uphill fight (but that's the fun of playing him).
  11. yeah. basically trying to convince everybody i play with that it's going to be awesome. i think a couple of us are influencing a number of people to buy the game. the wheel of hype will hopefully be turning quite a bit up in nh.
  12. I actually would go except I play in a community band and we have a gig on saturday. strangely enough, my stint with the band will end for when CS gets its retail release. I do think a couple other NH guys that I play with will be traveling down to check it out though.
  13. i know right? i plan on making it down for the new england revolution event though. yeah, it's in september but it's something. getting hype for it already. i'm hoping there's a big cs turnout. man... you made me do it... not getting that time back.
  14. it's looking like we'll have some CS action there too.
  15. excited for this. big time. finally have a reason to get down to CT to play you guys on a day i can actually do! I plan on entering bbcs and ssf4 and i might donate $5 to whoever wins mbaa, lol. F-cellobitch and i are having a tough time with those air throw enders (only played the game twice so far).
  16. A couple of us NH players will be playing. capsuletoyco and i are really hoping people come back for CS. Just gotta find ways to get everybody together.
  17. I will also be in attendance at the 5 dragons this thursday. now that i had a chance to play CS for a couple hours or so this past weekend I am fully onboard the BB train again. I cannot wait for the 27th to be here. I'm hoping all the BB players resurface once CS is out officially.
  18. Yeah sure. Don't forget your power cords and such this time.
  19. Just posting a quick update. 5 Dragons game night in Nashua, NH continues to happen every 2 weeks on Thursday. Pingas, bring that setup this Thursday night, the 20th,and don't forget the power cord and your friends. New folks keep showing up every time. If anybody thinks they'll make it and need directions or anything, just send me a PM.
  20. I got to play CS at PAX East and it just made me want it so badly. I didn't even know there was a tourney for it. Next year, when PAX moves to that gigantic place on the silver line i'm hoping it'll be much better advertised.
  21. Yeah. It started in the NH Thread and now it has it's own thread. 5 Dragons biweekly thursdays or whatever it's called. We show up, take over the large karaoke room, eat some sweet food, and get some matches in. We've got plans to start some recession $1 tourneys and go from there as the scene grows--but we have to get the people out of the woodwork first. I have plans to hit the CT and MA stuff. Fridaynight Fights and Wallcade are definitely on my to do list. Sadly, I've never had the chance to play GG against other people. My only experiences with it is the psp release.
  22. Hey everybody, first post here on dustloop. I've been lurking for about a year now and I've recently tried to become more active in the scene. I live in NH and I'm trying to find some people to level up with in BB--you know, ride that hype train into CS. I put it away for about 3 months but it drew me back in recently. I've got a pretty mean tager but none of my friends have put any time into the game. Also, we host a gathering for casuals in Nashua, NH every other Thursday and we are looking to grow that. Right now we have a number of brawl/melee and sf4 players that show up, but we've got plenty of room for setups.
