  1. okay, thanks. I don't know why I couldn't get j.P to connect, I must just be retarded.
  2. Does tatami no longer combo into j.S? I don't play Baiken, so I haven't kept up too much with her, but this seems like a change that people would have been talking about, since many of her combos seemed to involve tatami > j.S -> dustloop, and I can't seem to find another aerial that will combo either. Sorry for my dumb question, but pretty much the only person I can ever play with uses Baiken and I was curious about it.
  3. Thanks for everyone's input ( I especially agree with the fish/bubble/spike/Imperial Ray combination, it's way too amusing). Necro's Anger is a pretty awesome move, I look forward to the new input ( I could never do it very quickly in slash, and I could rarely do it at all from the right). And to bring this thread somewhat more on topic, Accent Core ps2 release is SO friggin close. I can't wait to try AC Dizzy, even if she's low tier again.
  4. I was wondering... in slash, I like to use Necro's Anger when my opponent is cornered behind projectiles and seems more or less unable to escape. Aside from the occasionally tricky timing to avoid using it while they're in blockstun, it seems to work pretty well. I was wondering if this was actually a valid tactic (especially in Accent Core with the easier input), or if there was some simple way of escaping it. I've never seen it used in a match video ever and the people I play with are at about the same level as me (which means they suck too and might be falling for dumb shit that shouldn't really work, like Sol's 6H -> bandit bringer), so it's probably not a legitimate strategy, but I thought I'd ask.
  5. What about 2H canceled on block into scythe FRC & throw/mixup? Or would the blockstun on the 2H not be enough to safely get out the scythe?
  6. I noticed that none of the matches I've watched lately have used the FB bubble at all, not even once. Did this move somehow become obsolete recently? Or did Dizzy tactics for AC just evolve away from relying on it (I've seen her win a lot more recently as well O_O )? It was always always my understanding that the FB was a really good move with a really huge hitbox and quite helpful in playing the run-away game required by Dizzy's lowered defense.
  7. I just ordered myself an arcade stick, and I was wondering... on a stick, is the input for IAD just 96, or is it actually 956 like on a pad?
  8. Doesn't 6H put them into the sliding state? I can't think of anything else that I've seen/would do that.
  9. From what I understand, it seems like Dizzy is doomed to be terrible in AC. In Reload she was B tier or so (not sure on this, I started playing right around when Slash came out and only played Reload for a month or so, but I do recall hearing about Dizzy winning tournaments here and there, something I have never heard of since Slash). Then in Slash she got a few new things, but her negative changes overshadowed them and she went down in tiers. Now in AC she once again gets a few new things, but then loses more important stuff (fish, even lower defense). Combine that with the fact that most other characters seem to have improved in AC, and that sounds like a recipe for a terrible Dizzy. I really don't understand the reasoning behind her AC changes; it seems pretty apparent to even a scrubby player like me that she got hosed this time around. edit: I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining or anything, I just want to be realistic about what it seems everyone is thinking.
  10. anyone know if the D->j.D->j.D->bubble->j.H (bubble pops)->land->jump->air combo still works? I haven't seen it in any matches, but then I never really saw it that much in Slash, either.
  11. What is a reasonable CPU recovery frame to use in training mode?
  12. A couple of dumb questions... 1. Does the burst gauge fill rate depend on the number of hits inflicted/received or the amount of actual damage points? 2. What is Jam's "parry" move that I keep reading about? (probably better suited to the Jam section, but I felt it was a suitably retarded question that it could go here)
