Shiro told me to tell you that~ You missed the part about her instant overhead, Rachels instant OH is a legit 50/50 she can either 2b>5B>2b or 2b 5b>j2a both of which net a decent amount of damage. The wises option to avoid this is to keep a stock of heat. No DD is worth getting hit by her IOH. Keep you heat for CA, try to leave a large gap in between you and Ada to play this game at neutral. Neural and proper Ada control is key to winning this matchup. Once she is caught dont let her get away untill you have the Health lead. Never give Rachel the health lead. Because once time reaches around 15 seconds (Which it probably always will if you are playing neutral) you will never see Rachel again. Catching her when she does not want to be caught is impossible for Carl. Play everything safe. She does to much damage for you to be eating a 6a or 2b or 5b.. Part of me wants to say the bitch is just a little OP with the damage tbh. This is one of Carls worst and Hardest matchups.... along side his others.

Shiro said "Thanks for the compliment and I really appreciate it, however I has been doing stuff for the Carl Community for a long time now... If You took a look at the Matchup thread, sinder and I started majority of them. And even then the ones Sinder stared he left blank and I filled, I also started several threads that are commonly used and kept them in tip top shape.. More or less. Along with being a advant follower of the changes both for the transition of CS2~EX & EX~CP I also kept the change-list threads updated with information to the best of my ability. And now since Jordal is ignoring Carl (Slightly) I'm going to be picking up the slack if no one minds the quality of my videos(I truly am working on improving it without breaking my pockets to hard). But thanks for the appreciation Nar :)"

so its like prediction punish?
-
define yomi then dusk, this is prime example if i dont know help me learn.
-
Stickbug If you and dacidbro want to take this thread further please be my guess i just trying to get people to have the help to improve. And to answer the yomi question i truely believe yomi is damage without regard for anything else, what you named is gimmicks.
-
You are correct some of these things can come down to character specific answers which I cannot provide an appropriate response to. But on the other hand some things are in need of vague answers and over all solutions. I am just trying to provide a base answer to your problem. It’s actually still up to the player themselves to figure a way to execute the solution with their own character. Most problems have the same solution just there are different ways they must be performed with different characters

The video in advancednoob's reply was entertaining. Unfortunately i did not learn much when it comes to my grammer. (i just tried really hard btw)
-
To answer advanced noob's question if there constantly barrier blocking your pressure on the ground then u should try to incorporate grabs in to your pressure. Because if there just holding barrier block and you grab them from my experience they have to release barrier block and break the grab to stop it which is more diffucult. Also what i do is i keep doing tap pressure (when u stop pressure on a frame advantage move then run in and continue pressure) till their barrier gone since it drains quick. And to stick bug the video thing sounds like a good idea ima see what i can do btw bang has nonthing to do with my fundamentals, these fundamentals aplies to basicaly the player not the character.
-
Dusk to slove your anti-air problems you should wait till they swing not wait till they get close. Also about the low thing i said slow lows that are meant to make u stand up as if its a over head like bang's 6a. Everyone should know to crouch till over head is seen thought that was obvious.
-
A) Prediction is not needed to keep people out, reaction is. I.E. you should SEE the over head, you should SEE the slow low, You should SEE the approach. The only time u need prediction is when u baiting something while your on the offensive like a dp or a burst. B) Thats nice

sorry im not good at spelling or grammer but ok. this thread is target towards the intermediate players who knows some of what there doing but not nearly enough. so this is here to provide the base that good player must have. To answer your question about footsies i'm not completly sure but i believe it is constant pokes in a neutral game (where neither player has control of the fight) in an attempt to gain pressure. if you have any other questions please feel free to post

I have just now rewrote this list with more elaboration and once again im just trying to help the community so people please dont try to destroy this thread it is meant to help like i stated before if you do not need this thread and do not offer assistance for this thread please dont post here
-
I am sorry to all the players in whom this thread has negativly affected which im pretty sure all of you are good but this thread is not for people who already know what the fundamentals are this thread isnt a discussion thread if you dont need help or intend to help other players dont post cause u do not need any help. i just wanna try to help the community by posting a list o the basic stuff that any good player needs and helping any player who comes to this thread and ask for help or for an explaniation of that certain fundalmental. i dont think yall realize pro's and good players arn't the only one to get on this site there are lower level players who want help and need to know where to start. edit: by the way i copied and posted the 1st thread cause my computer screen goes white while im on that make me lose my post mid way though
-
all fundamentals involve reaction but there all there own catogories with more specific stuff about them
-
i was gona bunch ib and barrier under blocking thanx for the contribution

I was playing BBCS online (yeah I know) and I realized that some people seem be lacking the fundamentals so I will make a list of all of them for the benefit of the community. OFFENSIVE FUNDALMENTALS: These are the techniques you will use with any character to attack efficiently -PRESSURE GAME- This includes everything from block strings to mix-up. You need to master this with your character so that way u can actually have the opportunity to land a clean hit to start your combo. -HIT CONFIRM- The ability to get a combo off of a random sometimes a unrealistic hit . -APPROACH- The ability to get across the screen safely to the opposing player -COMBO CHOICE- This also falls under decision making but this is a little more specific. This is the decision of what combo you will do when u land an optimal hit. This decision is based on what you want at the end of your combo. Common goals and the end of a combo vary between control (oki), damage (yomi I believe), and tech traps (gimmicks). DEFENSIVE FUNDALMENTALS: How you defend while you’re being attacked. -BLOCKING- This is pretty self explanatory but I’ll go into detail any way. This includes ALL forms of blocking which are regular blocking, instant blocking (IB), and barrier blocking. This also is your ability to block mix-up like lows and highs. And lastly the ability break grabs these all go under blocking. -REVERSALS- These are moves that have invincibility that can be used to MAKE an opening in someone’s pressure game u just have to learn how to use them properly and when to use them at the LEAST risky time (it is always risky) this also includes counter assaults. -PUNISHING/ANTI-AIRS-Punishing is when you make an opponent pay for making a stupid decision in there gunplay i.e. full screen random super. The most common way of punishing is to do your strongest most unrealistic combo available to you at the moment. -SPACING- This is simply safely distancing yourself from your enemy for safety purpose. -WAKING UP/RECOVERY- Now this is I want to say the most important fundamental of them all cause if you wake up/recover wrong u can expect some big damage from your opponent. There 7 ways to recover in Blazblue. These 7 ways are: forward aerial tech, backward aerial, neutral aerial tech, emergency tech, forward roll, backword tech, and finally neutral ground tech (standing straight up). Lastly what you do on wake up is very important the options you have on wake up against someone NOT playing oki is: jumping, attacking, reversals, blocking, grabing and anti-air attacks. And wakeup options against someone who are playing oki is: blocking and reversals that’s all. NEUTRAL FUNDAMENTALS: Fundamentals that apply and are required to execute all fundamentals -DECISION MAKING- Plain and simple making good or bad choices in any situation. -REACTION SPEED- The speed of which u can SEE something and do something about it. This means NO prediction, prediction is guessing. This list is here to help everyone who doesn't know the fundamentals or simply forgot them. If anyone needs me to elaborate on any of these fundamentals post here and I’ll explain to the best of my abilities. I hope this thread helps everyone. Sorry if I was unclear before. if you need more elaboration you can go to page 9
