A:@Supa or anyone else.... i dare you to go up against actual Team Spooky members in Melty Blood with only a ps2 controller in your hands....like i have. i simply dare you!!!! good luck with that. good luck with that shitty, crappy, dysfunctional for fighters, bs dookie controller not working against you during matches against extremely high level players. arcade stick>donkey doodoo>ps2 controller in that order. they don't call console controllers "oven mitt sticks" for nothing. there is a good reason. trust me. you can't do half of what you can do on console controllers that you can do on an arcade stick, trust me.

mahou throwin' a mini-rant from frustrations with psn reminds me of my major net rant years ago when i tried to boot up The Rumble Fish ps2 game with the SwapMagic disc....only to find out that the SwapMagic could not boot it up cuz the game's TOC was too large for SM to boot it up.... i remember that rant i threw. i remember it well. i came close to smashing my u.s. ps2. i filled like a page of forums space ranting against the absurdity of the unfortunate business practice known as "region coding" dvds. spent 40+bucks on that game, not including shipping costs,...and could not even play it even once....couldn't play it until i bought a japanese ps2. aren't games supposed to be fun and not frustrating? let us know how the downloaded ah3 compares to the imported port version...if there's any differences.

does anybody know where or if there are translations to the taunts, end of round, and start of round comments by the guilty gear characters? i've always wanted to know what ky and jam say in their taunts, and end of rounds.

henry has ah3, but only for the xbox360. if people want to play AH3 on ps3, they're gonna have'ta bring their own copy. i don't know if henry will DLC AH3 on one or more of his ps3s. but i suggest showing up early, because the mvc3 players take over the ps3s in a split second and don't get off em for the rest of the night. @LSlick just show up. don't worry about that....but my advice: drop some quarters into the SSF4 cabs to get on henry's good side...like 5 bucks worth would suffice. or the KoF13 cab. You don't have to....but i did the first time i was there.

woke up this morning....feeling better. debating with myself as to whether i can go today or not. if i do go, i ain't bringing a heavy ass u.s. ps2. i'd just bring japanese one and melty blood and fate/unlimited codes. somebody else is gonna have to bring their ps2 and gg game. @mahouko and novareaper150...i'd probably be there like 4:30ish give or take half n hour. nova i wanna play with u some melty:)

D train doesn't stop at 9 ave station past 11pm, fyi. on weekends. don't knows about fridayz. past 11, gotta take the 36th st station on 36th and 4th ave. @NovaReaper150:even if we tried beating him in dunking contests, he'll still figure out a way to jump from the foul line like Jordan of the late 80s. for the sake of Jordan's records, lets not get ideas in his head. i suck at F/UC. like 99% of most F/UC players. but i've always wanted to play people in that game. its like GG morphed with MB. the type-moon kick, the bursting, the reflect combos that are something like frc'ing. don't expect me to be doing any of that craziness though. i just have a few b&bs with my main, leysritt. also, i still don't know if i can make it this weekend. i want to go, but i'm not feeling that up to it right now. i think i may have a minor cold cuz i'm sneezing alot. and my spine ain't 19 anymore bros. carrying those 2 ps2 for that long time, gave my OG back some aches. keep in mind, you young whipper-snappers, that i'm the old man of these sessions. but i still may go. i'll let ya know. i don't wanna bum you guys out or kill hype, but,.... just to let you guys know, henry's ps2 may not be working. when i got there last sat, he had it out. hooked up and everything with a SF3 disc in it, but it was turned off. since it was there hooked up and all, i decided to use it instead of my own,... so, when i tried to boot up my mvc2 disc....it wouldn't want to read the disc....i tried multiple times-would not read disc. so i was like, hmmmm. maybe its my disc. lemme check with my ggac disc...it read the disc, it got to the Playstation 2 screen logo, but after that the screen stayed pitch black. i tried multiple times with same result-black screen. so i let henry know, he said it was his old ps2 and would fritz up at times, but that it was working the previous night before, with sf3 sessions...and then he took it off. and i had to use my u.s. ps2. no problems with either gg and mvc2, of course. i'm telling in case some of you guys go there expecting henry's ps2 to be working, and it may or may not be. i don't know. if you got next level's phone #, i'd call and ask him...or bring your own ps2 just to make 100% sure sessions take place. or maybe he's got more than one ps2 at his business. i do not know.

i didn't. since i was on the receiving end of his DESTRUCTION UNLEASHED! frcs,rcs, loops, pins, u name it...it was done upon me. lol. wanna read something funny? so, i just finished setting up GG. mahouko is standing there. keep in mind i have no idea who he is. i ask him "would you like to play?" he says "uh. not right now. for now i'll just watch." and i ask him"do you know how to play Guilty Gear?" ......O_o' after the thrashing i got from him...i realized asking him that question is like asking Einstein "do you know physics?" .....O_0 so, yeah, he says"yeah, i've played in tournaments before." i go "ok." like 20 minutes later..he decides to play me.... and i find myself getting bedazzled by spectacular shit i never even thought possible.... and i'm caught in some vicious loop...and i'm just staring at the screen,....with my character getting inescapably yo-yo'ed and i already gave up even trying to escape it...and i got my arms crossed against my chest... and i say to myself... "ahhhhh. so that's how you play guilty gear. what have i been doing all this time again?" but there's something to be learned from getting bodied by great players. plus, its inspiring to behold. great guy btw. i wish i would have gotten to play melty with him and his friend. DaiAndOh...you slay me brother. when you started yelling while you were eating "Hey, Axl...show me how you've Mastered Axl" and i was like "huh? what? naw. i haven't played axl since 08...C'mon, i can't remember how to even play him." and you were like "No excuses! show me your Axl ...Now!!!!" LOL! ahhhhhhhhh! god that was funny. too much. meanwhile, i did use him once...while me and Sine were playing and Sine was just trolling me with his own axl....i decided and said, "fuck it. i'll pick axl so it'll be axl v axl. even if i lose badly from not remembering a damn thing about him"....i somehow by only miracle, pulled off a win...and said "DaiAndOh! DaiAndOh! did you see my Axl just now! my scrubby, noobish, haven't played since 08 axl?" and i looked over and you missed my axl. you were too busy watching the Darkstalkers session that was taking place. i told Sine, "i pulled my axl out of retirement 4 one match...and i'm putting him back in. Daiandoh will never get another chance to see my lame axl ever again." welp. i had a great time. great players. great people. great sessions. also. i played ah3 terribly. it sux not having ah3. and the only thing i have to practice is ah2...which actually, imo, hurts my game rather than helps, cuz that game is snails pace slow, arcana 3 is lightning fast, and trying to play ah3 after practicing/playing ah2(ps2) makes your inputs/reactions super slow. every time i play ah3 i feel like my character is moving through molasses or something. not because my character is super slow....but because I'M SLOW. my inputs/reactions that is. i'm everconstantly compensating for ah2's super duper uber lag/slowdown while playing ah3....and that makes my inputs always 2 seconds behind. ugh. people have the same problem with ah3 online....but when they go back offline...their brain quickly re-adjusts. there is no re-adjusting from ah2. is lag central 24/7. 100% of the time. plus i can't practice any ah3 combos on ah2 port. phooey. the timing for inputs are so off between both games its just deranged. it takes me like 4 hours for my brain to get used to the timing adjustment. i'm just not gonna continue attempting to play ah2 anymore. ah2....a pox on thee. really. out the window you go. useless. *yeah i know, wall of text, u can tell i'm not drowsy just yet*

i'll be bringing 2 ps2s, one u.s. and one japanese. i'll be bringing: marvel vs capcom 2(ps2) guilty gear accent core hokuto no ken melty blood i am NOT bringing A core plus. but i only have 2 controllers to go around so 4 the luv of god, BYOC or sticks. get hype 4 casuals!!!

i've decided.i'll be there saturday. 5pm. i'll be bringing GGAC. haven't decided if i'll bring melty blood or not. and yeah, BYOC.

i spoke to Henry .i'm going this weekend to Henry's Next Level. i prefer Friday but am willing to go Saturday. if anybody wants to play some Guilty Gear Accent Core casuals with me....and can go, i.e. get in the door already. let me know Today and give me a heads up..... so i can decide whether its Friday or Saturday i.e. the day that i should go. just post to me here on this thread.

i don't know henry. i never got a around to going to CTF, so i never met the man personally,so i can't just show up with my 2 u.s. ps2s....unannounced. so....if someone wants me to bring my 2 ps2s, and ggac and ac+ this friday/sat...they are gonna have to invite me on their behalf and present me to henry. know what i mean. lets have a group of us meet up this frid/sat to play gg yo! but i only have 2 controllers you still have to BYOC. or sticks. can a stick be used on an unmodded ps2? i'm guessing yes,... through usb port. so lets have a meet up this frid/sat to play GG. but lets have a vote on which day though. and yes, bi-weekly GG meet ups on sundays at henrys would be godlike. fuck yeah!

just to throw this out again to ya'll... i have 4 ps2. 2 u.s. 2 japanese. 3/4 are the old versions of ps2(fat-not slim). one of the u.s. i can swapmagic to play imports. 4 memory cards. i only have 2 ps2 controllers though. and i'll be using one....other controllers are gonna have to be provided by someone else. have one copy of any fighter game for ps2, whether u.s. or japan import. i have 2 copies of ps2 marvel vs capcom 2 u.s.versions. one GGAC and one GGAC+ just PM in advance to let me know what to bring. right now i'm lurking the regional matchmaking and tournaments boards at SRK,HomingCancel,Dustloop ....so i'm getting a little overwhelmed at lurking boards...so remind me in case i get somehow miss any important updates

i'm sorry but i don't understand what you mean by "we may be coming back in April." when you say "we", are you referring to TEAM STICKBUG or are you referring to something else? could you clarify?

welp, i can't bring a ps3.... since i don't even own one! but if this works out, i can bring my ps2s...japanese+u.s. i got Vampire DarkStalkers, Hokuto no Ken, Fate Unlimited Codes, Sengoku Basara X, GGAC and GGAC+, MBAA, MvC2(ps2),... well if its for ps2, i got it, and can bring it, if ps3, don't got it, therefore can't bring it, 4 obvious reasons. more importantly, you gotta check how many monitors are there. thats the most important question that needs answering.

so, correct me if i'm wrong, GGAC-guaranteed AH3-guaranteed VS-high probability a great list already.

if that place is a viable spot, what other than GG would we play? just askin'.

like i said before, i'm cool with bronx,manhattan,brooklyn,queens....i.e.,if its(venue location) is on a nyc MTA train stop/station map....i can go. nj, upstate, l.island,staten island... then hell no i can't make it. no car. and i ain't a journeying over hills and down valleys like if i'm lurking 4 the holy fucking grail.

well, what i mean by that she's like Chun Li is that alot of her specials involve the K button, she excels in the air, and that her "ultras" have low start ups. Jam and Millia are sort of spin offs of Chun Li. at least, compared to the rest of the cast. i've read here people comparing her to Ryu of all characters! go figure that one out. so, i think the comparison to Chun Li is way more accurate. just like i would say sol+ky are homages to ryu+ken. thats all.
