  1. Man we just spent 7 pages arguing because some idiot thought that playing online is the devil. Goddammit is anyone near Southern Maine that would like to play?
  2. Don't be disillusioned that a few ms lag and some shitty players online suddenly makes it terrible to play online. Fuck, I'm not a total scrub and my first offline experience was 2 days ago and I didn't completely lay down and die during the first match. "But how?" you might ask, its because I played the game online and got good enough to be at a higher-than-scrub level. But wait! Thats under the assumption that playing offline some how means we're not scrubs I mean sure at some point I'll have to play offline like a tournament, because it necessitates that. Yeah, sure too, at some point you can only get better by playing offline and against the nation's best, but I'm pretty sure some of us aren't quite there yet, nor will be. And face it, if you play against this forum's best online, you'll probably get better than someone who plays against okay people offline. I played against AxisTheBeast once upon a time on Xbox Live. And mAcChaos. Oh wait, you're just trolling. nevermind
  3. I see, so playing off line cures mashing and bad habits. So if I were to go to someone's house and play BB it would magically never happen. Um, hello, the only place you're going to not get mashing and bad habits are places where you don't get mashing and bad habits: aka tournaments and/or pros. Being bad online and being bad offline makes you bad still, playing offline doesn't magically fix that problem unless you find someone un-bad.
  4. Thanks, I aughta tighten my site up a bit.

  5. Well technically thats a fallacy. If you don't come to me, then I'd have to go to you, which means someone came to you, unless we both don't go to each other, in which case your point is moot. See the problem? No car, I'm still fucked. The point I'm making isn't that online is superior than offline, its just that its 100% more feasible in terms of time and money, and when time and money are on the short end as you see, you can't go and drive out to play offline. Its in this situation where you just can't go and say "Hurr play offline you dummy, its waaay better". So whats the choice? Don't play, or play online?
  6. I need to master GF > RC > Taunt > 720 But naw, I wasn't feeling it todaayyy. I'm light years from even being able to compete with your hakumen and I dunno how to get better.

  7. I feel more terrible than ever.

  8. I can't ever seem to get close enough so that I can 4d or 360 hakumen when he tries to 4c me. Its just 4c, 4c, jc while I'm blocking and thats sufficient to keep me away.
  9. Start a small scene? I did, I got a buncha my college buddies to play, and none of them want to buy a ps3 or a 360 to play BB beyond casual level, because the only alternative is my 360. Oh would you look at that. Also you should come visit Maine then, I'm always looking for people to play. I don't exactly have a car, though. And before the leaves fall off. One of my friends however owns Soul Calibur 4, but that has nothing to do with anything. And people who don't play games don't play fighting games, too, so good luck there.
  10. My internet just cut out like a bitch.

  11. Yeah, great, offline is a better experience than online. I agree, no one is arguing otherwise so get that out of your head. The problem is the feasibility of getting that offline experience. And unless you're telling me that driving hours to go play some stranger offline for a bit is way better than sitting down and playing online within 5 minutes, I don't understand what your point is. I got together with Toasty Cheese recently to play some BB offline, and yeah its way better, but face it, I got 2 dozen offline games, in, out of my what, 500 games online? Plus how bad of lag are we talking about anyway? I notice a couple ms of lag and thats it, not exactly game breaking when theres nothing at stake. "Play blazblue offline, its not my fault you won't sink hours of driving time to play a game." "I simply can't, I don't have a car, why don't you come drive up to maine? You talk about playing BB offline like its super feasible." "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
  12. Oh well theres the problem, fix netcode, problem solved.
  13. Buy everyone corporate quality internet connections. Profit from being practically offline online. Problem solved.
  14. That was sarcasm you nit-wit. You can't possibly expect such an obvious statement to be of any value except to poke fun. This, because Cake seems its oh so easy to play people offline, maybe he should come over to Maine and play. You know, Maine, the state with 5 million cabinets and players and is vastly more popular than California. You can't honestly go around telling people that they're scrubs because they prefer to play online rather than drive 8 hours to the closest BB Cabinet, another state, or start a school and train up BB players. "How to play online?" "HURR DURR ONLINE?! WHY DON'T YOU DRIVE 5 HOURS AND PLAY SOMEONE OFFLINE?!" "Because I have a job/school/no car/unfeasible." "LOL SCRUB" /thread
  15. EDIT: And someone with access to the game will do better than someone who doesn't.
  16. So you're telling me not to play BB against anyone? Because theres like, one other good player in the state of Maine that actually plays. Or maybe you'd like to visit us?
  17. I just found out Bang's 236236D distortion actually has a use. I gadget fingered and I popped out a MTW, and Bang did Ashura clash into Ashura >: (
  18. So its just someone playing around with the unreleased data at a "location"?
  19. What the hell is a "loctest" or a "loketest"? I mean I understand the concept by reading the thread, but what exactly is the definition?
  20. I'm in southern Maine till the summer for school. Portland, Maine if anyone wants to hit me up! (Looking at you, Mascarpone)
  21. Aerial 360/720s
  22. Don't you mean mario party: jin?
  23. I drew a Makoto. Edit: Fixed it up a bit with the help of Amadeous [NSFW]
  24. But being wrong wasn't the point in question. It was arguing it.
