  1. My friend introduced me to this game about a year ago and I got hooked instantly, even eventually going as far as to buy a 360 pretty much to play this game. When I started playing, I mained Rachel, and her most basic bnb of 6a, 5b, j.b, j.c, j.b, j.c stumped me until someone broke it down on the forums here. I feel that its way easier to learn if you can visualize exactly what your character is doing/going to do. But also if you understand why they do it. I would never have figured out Rachel's bnb combo if someone didn't break everything down to its most basic notion of "6a is a launcher, 5b keeps them afloat, hit jump then hit b, then c, then jump again and repeat" That combo took me about an hour to learn, and then 3 more to burn it in. You have to think of a combo as a 3 course meal, daunting to cook at first, but when you break it down and figure out what you're doing, you stop being flustered at how complex it is.
  2. Rekkazan is a pro...jectile...? No I don't think that has been mentioned. Anyway, 6c-> 5d or 6c -> jd tech traps I just unfortunately learned don't work on Hazama without walking forward a bit, his aerial hitbox is dumb. Generally its not a problem but I get a little antsy when I do those and don't tend to walk forward. Edit: Oh man I am lightyears away from gettin' good.
  3. Doesn't 360b auto grab by default because you can't delay its active frames?
  4. Just yesterday I fought a Hazama who threw out a non-combo Mizuchi Rekkazan so I threw out a 360a whiff and avoided it. I should have jumped and avoided it but I panicked and everything went better than expected.
  5. Buffer MTW as soon as you hit 6b, pretend its not even there. You gotta do it really fast. The superflash should come out almost instantaneously after you see 6b add a number to the combo counter.
  6. I'm back in school and xbox live is hard to come by. The other residence hall has it by fluke. But yeah, I'm twice as good as I was last time. ;D If you schedule a night I'll see what I can do.

  7. 720's will beat out astrals. Happened to me just the other day. But it was wake up astral, so I'm not sure if that counts. It was a 720 into a 720, but before my second 720 came out he teched and astraled and I got him anyway.
  8. Wait, you can duck Tager's 2c, which starts low...?
  9. Finally fought some Hazamas that ran the clock down. Luckily one of them sucked. Chasing him down is the worst thing ever D:
  10. Does a 720 buffered during Hotenjin's superflash go off? I had a match today where I 720'd after Houtenjin flashed. I don't know if I buffered during the flash or before it. I ask because I usually eat the Houtenjin.
  11. Do they tech before sledge comes out, or before sledge hits? If it had tight timing you could probably do something with that.
  12. because its dustloop and you know how things go down around here
  13. Bgadget is the weirdest for me because theres no real visual clue as to when to hit the 22d, I've just committed it to memory. The enemy isn't even any where near the ground when GF connects on Bgadget, they just kinda teleport to the ground... and into your hand.
  14. I did, it was 2 hours of pure rage. But I did it, and it was awesome. Fought a hakumen today that did that new poke over and over, 4c I think its called. Can't. do. shit. Until I learn.

  15. OH LOOK MY EXBOX LIVE ENDED

  16. Yeah well, like I said I'll be on more in the futuore.

  17. Yeah I'll def hop back in after CS. Mainly because Tager isn't at -15 anymore.

  18. No. yes, haven't had interest in BB for a bit. Frustrating

  19. I will agree, and usually its because you know what factors are going into your loss. When its just a steamroll with no chance, you can't figure out what you're doing wrong. You can't know what you can't figure out. I can tolerate a losing streak if they're super close. But if its just a long night of "lol you're tager", I tend to call it quits.
  20. So MTW will stuff most astrals like noel's and rag's?
  21. Bubblegum girl? Maybe, but yes, the original picture is very, very, very kinky.

  22. Well hakumen is just Jin's future past future self. But that twist is pretty original and underused so I can't really think of any games off the top of my head where that idea is reiterated. I know it appears a lot in movies and shows but still.
  23. Thats funny, because the moment I saw Jin, I thought his coat was generic along with his weapon, his playing style seemed overrated and trite and I find his personality to be cliche and uncreative. Then again my friend overplays every archtype of his character and its gotten stale. What really threw me for a loop though is how intelligent Tager is. In every game the archtype of the "big beefy beater" is that they are gifted with high strength and constitution but low intelligence (ex. Orcs from DnD & Warhammer, Galkan from FF11, giants from the Iliad (Nobody did this to me!)... etc.)
  24. ... is this Calamity Trigger or Continuum Shift? I hate to ask but it does make a difference.
