  3. I just like how intimidating 5C is now. Before if we used that, people would try to poke a hole there, even with the threat of cantabile. now that it's jump cancellable, most opponents just sit there waiting for the cross up. I've been away for awhile. What is this and how do you do it?   5. nah, that' just start up activation of nirvana. That can happen with any move, but really is near impossible to use in a realistic situation.
  6. It seems like the Carl's have mainly been experimenting with his new combo game. I've seen quite a few take advantage of 2C and allegretto with the new wall bounces. Everyone is still playing his neutral game pretty much the same hahaha. Strange I thought for sure having tenerazza would make people stop throwing out so many fuocos and start using that as their main poke. Who knows, only time will tell.
  7. 236D is face lift cancellable right? Why hasn't anyone done Dia ...>236D>22A>236D>22A oki yet? I'd figure everyone would've started that by now if it was FL cancellable.
  8. Do we know if Dia modes drive acts completely like they do in CT? Like, can 5DD and 4DD be jump cancelled?
  9. Dia 2B>2C>5C>3C>C Sickle>FL>6B>5C>4B>2DD>Aerial works? lolwat? i must see this. getting close range damage without 4b, gravity, or meter sounds really nice. Now we just need to find some way to make Dia be the form we wanna be in out of combo.
  10. actually akira, I think the point to doing both the 3c and volante was positioning. It flipped the opponent over carl and let him carry her to the corner easy.
  11. nah, they weren't in od. And it was the only Nu that played in the game-carnival stream. If they archive those videos or someone managed to rip that segment, it's in there.
  12. I'm just going by what I saw haki. Unless lambda sickle now auto chooses a direction for you, then that's the only explanation for seeing a lambda sickle rotating in her direction. Honestly though, I think a lot of Nu is going to be finding combo routes that get you to luna early on and Dia near the end, to optimize damage and set yourself up for your next zoning attempts.
  13. just though of the most annoying shit ever. Dia: 5DD>4DD>236D (combo end) >22D>236DC (insta lockdown) Also, c version of sickle still exists in luna, as well as we get crescent feints, though I don't know if it's mode specific.

Edit: Looking at it again, looks like we'll at least need about 56 heat for this to work, otherwise you won't get the heat for it. And it even started from a 2A. We can do better than this guys >_> We could probably kill if he actually decided to do more than the tenerezza loop before the unblockable.

  16. bad news for everyone who hates zoning, nu mode has old act parsers. Worse news for the same group, she's reported to be able to do it airborne as well.
  17. Man, that super is going to lead to a lot of not teching by the opponents. Bangs will purposely drop combos in the air just to get that super easy, especially in furinkazan.

  19. I believe a lot of carl's moves have a little of the hitbox behind him. If you look at ambivalent world combo video for CS1, they made one small combo of nothing but these types of instances.
  20. Looks like Carl vol tedo minimum damage is around 1.4 k o.o that's really nice considering how easy and fast it is to land.
  21. no no no, you're thinking of Crush triggers right? She didn't flash white, she didn't use any heat, and yet she broke our guard. I thought CT were the only way to break guard in this game, but looking at that, I guess not. Anyway, has anyone been able to test that whole 3C>j.2C stuff?
  22. o.0. I know it isn't carl related, but anyone else catch at around 5:43 that platinum can guard crush with just her regular hammer? That's freakin' scary man.
  23. Oh...who called La Tenerezza being Nirvana's best move oh I wonder who. Really hope to see some real match footage soon though. All I got to see from the stream was some arcade mode and years of training mode. So it sounds like in general we'll be saving heat for CT's and CA's. Maybe an occasional fermata if we have the heat and RoM for specific match ups. Also, in OD I swear I saw nirvana moving like in unlimited form, but I'll have to check again sometime to confirm.

  25. You can jump cancel forward dash? Yup, gonna play this character. stuff is gonna be op. Think about it. Land a move for knockdown. Forward dash through opponent, 9 jump toward him, j.2D for meaty cross up, get low weak point. Screw you inferno divider hahaha.
