  1. I love stuffing Hakumen's Distortion with 5D, it's such win...
  2. B followup is wonderful in small doses imo, that parabolic movement is kinda handy :D I see, I guess that's just another little thing I need to pay attention to then...
  3. Yeah but what I'm saying is that I don't quite understand the mechanics of the C followup because sometimes it places me in front of the opponent and others behind, I don't want to be using it unless I know what determines where I land... And on an unrelated note, much love to the B follow-up for dodging projectiles, I did that today to my friend's Jin and the look on his face was priceless lol.
  4. I'm a little confused with Hazama's C drive followup, how exactly do you determine whether or not he ends up in front or behind the enemy? is it a simple matter of how far you're opponent is or do you cancel your momentum with an attack? because it messes up my inputs sometimes and i get punished for it
  5. Huh, the range on the throw is my biggest problem with it to be honest... It never even occurred to me to use it after a blocked chain, that actually -is- pretty awesome and makes sense because an opponent blocking your chains all day is a pain in the ass... Wow, I've learned more about Hazama in this past two days than I have in like... A week lol
  6. I liked Hazama ever since I saw his playstyle because I like the concept of having long range pokes go into short range combos, plus j.Cx5>dj.Cx5 is just awesome to do/watch :D Tager was incidental to me, I didn't think I would like him at all, but when I played with him I was like "Magnetism=<3" And I love Lambda because I loved Nu, but I can admit it now because she's not a cheap c**t...
  7. Yeah, I think as it is playing the COM so much has made me overly reliant on 3C because they like, never block it, and it's large horizontal range makes it easy to go into 214D~C>shenanigans... Is it just me or is Hazama's command throw largely useless? I mean, it's range is so short that I'd rather just mixup into the BnB that it would permit me to do anyways... It just seems out of place when compared to all his other specials
  8. Oh trust me, I know Jayoku combos are a pain in the ass (I'm still getting used to repeating 4/6D~A in a combo and adjusting my distance from the opponent while they're in the air) What do you usually use to lead into a BnB? I have a bad habit of repeating 2A>2B>3C or 5B>3C... Which works fine against the COM because it never learns, but I imagine will get predictable quick
  9. Well that's good to know ^^;; I wasn't sure if the bowling ball was hefty like Jin's EX projectile or not... It seems to me that the main goal against Tao is to bat her away when she tries to close in on you and go in for combos when you see an opening (whether it's 5D, j.6D, an AA, or w/e) Tao players tend to go a little crazy when they're up close on the offensive (at least to my experience) so make sure you control as much of the match's tempo and spacing as you can...
  10. Ugh, I am NOT looking forward to dealing with that damnable taunt-loop once this game comes out stateside... Does Hazama's chain kill her bowling ball?
  11. I see what you mean, now that I know what I was doing wrong I haven't messed it up once... Although followig up with the 5C spam is a little tough on some of the smaller characters (*cough*Carl and Noel*cough*) because if I wait too long to input it Hazama goes "Whoosh!" right over their heads D: but that's just a timing thing I need to get over yeah, Tagers combos took me like... 15 minutes to learn (except that damn 720) so maybe I'm just spoiled... Although I must say I thought Hazama would have a much steeper learning curve than what I've seen so far, which is nice
  12. Agh, I was afraid so, I guess I just need to practice it, but what a pain in the ass... Some of his stuff is fluid like 3C>214D~C and other stuff like this is more rigid with inputs like this, it's quite a difference from playing Tager (my current main) where I'm rolling that stick all day long, lol...
  13. Quick question, I was just messing around with Hazama the other day (I hope to eventually make him my main) and I noticed that sometimes when I attempt 214D~C>5C>2C>4D~D sometimes instead of the 4D~D coming out I'll accidently do another 214D instead, since I only play at a nearby arcade I can't really practice minor stuff that well and I was wondering if maybe I was just inputting the 2C>4D~D too quickly and it's coming out as a buffered 214D instead or if there is something else I'm missing, I really have no idea as I'm relatively new to Haz... Lol
  14. When I picked up the game I was thinking Arakune was gonna be my main because he seemed kinda oddball like Zappa in GG (and I thought Carl looked pretty cool too) but they just didnt really click. Then I ended up picking up Tager out of nowhere and falling in love with his style. He's got some pretty cool mindgames for a heavyweight character, and 360's and 720 are just sexy. Nu became my sub after I made a point to learn her to see firsthand how broken she was, and i never realized how interesting some of her more complex combos are. Can't wait for CS to come out on the 27th, I'm itching like nuts to get my hands on Hazama...
