Although the AoA is slow, 5 frames slower than the default fastest (Chie), Dacidbro was just explaining the gist of the most basic gameplan for Akihiko so the new players like MulattoMan or whoever have something to work with.   5. Yeah I saw that even though it was so incomplete, still something. And I think it's just some of the tierlist people put out or the one that's been out since May are pretty consistent with each other. The top are still top and the people like Yu, Teddie, etc are the only ones that fluctuate from A to S- depending on different lists. No crazy outlier.
  6. Thread feels so dead lol. So I tried practicing the deep safe jump, which is actually kinda hard for the first time. I think the most efficient punish while staying on the same side is to jump straight up j.A to trigger it, then j.C to hang above the trip and counter hit him. Pretty beefy damage.
  7. I think Xie mentioned it on UltraChen's stream that it takes several hundred damage to break the persona when it has auto guard. I'm guessing our C attacks will break him in one go if he's not guarding. Edit: 410 damage will break the armor.
  8. Wait... It was mentioned somewhere that you could cancel the landing recovery of short hope with kill rush (I tested, all specials will work). And all characters can do this. Does this mean that all moves below specials (Since it wouldn't make sense if Yu can do a DP then do another special/DP on landing) that would give you landing recovery can be canceled with a special? Hmmmmmmmm...
  9. Also Koogy won using Kanji at Saboten. So far out of the tourneys in Az it's been a streak of Kanji's winning, so you wouldn't really need to worry about your opponent knowing the matchup that well and if they do you WILL know once you've played. In other news, I'm out state this weekend so I'm really bummed not being able to play/commentate at Hazbats. Rep us good guys. I have high hopes in you Justin to rock people!
  10. That's interesting. I didn't know hitting a persona counts as hitting someone on block. Well what I do is cancel the 2A hitting the persona into kill rush. It works until they catch on and start 5B'ing you. So if you were looking for normals to jump cancel from, his 5A and 2A are both jump cancelable on block.
  11. Ahaa no problem. I was excited when I stumbled upon that in lab as well. It'll definitely be used in higher level play when Kanji's actually know how to utilize shock better.
  12. It was somewhat mentioned but the only time you can challenge Kanji's DP is if you do your own DP canceled into D Thunder Fist for invincibility. But, the activated guard point makes him completely invincible so he's not really that punishable. Also it was mentioned in the general threads but I think it's worth mentioning here since it's important. Activating Thunder Fist removes any shock buff on you and with it on, any move that would put shock on you on hit, it wouldn't. So with that in mind his DP lessens in potential dangerousness (lol not a real word). And I think this would really stop his momentum and is very critical if you had a lead in life and meter.

  14. Now the staying close and using frametraps makes him very close to Dudley. But Dud's Machinegun Blow works no where like the speed and the accessibility of Kill Rush which is one of his best tools to get in and pressure. I would have to compare him more with Fei Long rekkas from that distance since it closes distances so fast and at distances where you could only punish with 2A, you would cancel that into Kill Rush, much like Fei Long doing cr. L into Rekkas as punish/footsie.
  15. I was at UAT and did ok. Fought against the Chie Brigade and then the Kanji Army. As for the ranbats, I don't know if having mixed consoles would make a difference for P4A like it would for SF4 and Marvel. Playing on Xbox for SF4 really screws me over. At least for this ranbat you don't have to pay a venue AND a tournament fee, so it's pretty good as it is. We should either keep it low or free for now for the entrance fee.

  19. That's good Chris. I can see that Yosuke's lack of oki can prove to be a big weakness in keeping Naoto in check. I hope to play you guys soon so I learn actual matchups and not just play Theory Fighter and sit in Training mode all the time.
  20. Well she does have those instant kill supers and death combos that could make it exciting, which I don't think any Liz player is capable of doing now. Ruben I'm surprised James Xie wasn't there. He's been winning all WNF with his Aigis.
  21. No what Ray means is that LevelUp didn't stream it but Haz did. So he smelled that something was fishy from the get go, since it would make more sense for LU to do it.

  25. Akihiko's ability to cancel his parry into super seems negligent to me since it doesn't have good startup or recovery. And don't you have to punch them after and then cancel? Tbh I think Yosuke's parry does it's job. A reversal that can beat all hits and grabs and gives hard knockdown. Oh and it punishes bursts lol. Sucky damage, good utility.
