Bit late to introduce myself, but meh - my main reason for not going to Chinatown Fair is that I'm pretty bad, so it would end up with me getting bodied and not getting to play enough for the money. Blah. Anyhow: Games played: BB:CS (when someone at my college had it on laptop...), Lambda / Tager / Hazama, practicing for now in CT to get the basics down better and to get a better feel for Tager. A bit of Melty:AC but never got into it seriously, M-Hisui. Ironically, only fighting game I ever legitimately got good at by practicing like crazy was Jump! Ultimate Stars (Muhyo mainer and pioneer, hurrah for broken games). Yeah, I'm pretty awful at BB and MB, but they're still fun and I'm working on getting better so it's not a complete loss.   2. The real question is going to be how technical she is - for now she'll be dead last because people have had what, 2 days to practice with her? When she gets a couple of weeks of solid development in we'll really see how much potential she has. One thing is that if we see her do more close range fighting with Stein support, she could be a very odd character to play against - even better if she can get the Steins offscreen. Time-delayed projectiles always open up strange opportunities. But I think it's too early to call her better or worse than Lambda. I highly doubt she'll be better than Nu though - Nu was kinda ridiculous.
  3. Three extremely important questions, at least in theory: 1. You said the Steins had a timer. Is there a way to vary this timer? By move, perhaps? If there is, can your opponent tell? 2. When it comes time to fire, will they fire even if Mu is getting hit? 3. How easy is it to hitconfirm and get in combos off of random cover fire hits from the Steins? The reason for this is that I'm wondering if she can do what Snake does in Brawl - get opportunities for defense breaking off by charging in right as the Steins fire, especially if they can lead into crossups or low/overhead mixups or anything fancy like that. Even laser -> wallbounce specials should lead into decent damage if the opponent messes up at all. So far, really liking how she plays...
  4. What really interests me about Mu-12 is how her firing system works, because that and rapid canceling may be what opens up longer combos if you can maintain hitstun with laser shots. What firing options (commands/bounce shots vs snipes, do they knock down, etc.) does she have / are they cancellable int/out of? I doubt you'll get the opponent hit by 4 steiners exploding...can you do 5C 6C into steiner detonate and continue from there? EDIT: Is her 2C the slash that looks a lot like Jin's light DP (forwards rising arc)?
  5. That sounds...pretty damned decent. How many reps of corner loop are feasible (or is it just a corner combo) and d'you feel she has the tools to get people into the corner reliably? How tricky is her execution, as far as you can tell? Can she do anything reliably full screen a la Lambda's Spike Chaser followups?
