  1. More B and C air-unblockable moves? Hopefully, chicken jumping weakened heavily? I am very okay with this. EDIT: Does Lambda's 214A/B/C have invulnerability still?
  2. Comet = Comet Cannon = 236A~D I think. Astro Bariga probably means Astral Vision jump (214B/C) into barrier cancel. Really, though? I wonder if she got any buffs, because she's looking like one of the worst characters in the game right now. "Kure" = TK Crescent, so Kurerupu = TK Crescent Loop? Might mean that with the buffs to the Crescent, you have more leeway while doing it (they can bounce higher before it stops working?). Not sure about "easier to tag".
  3. I'm guessing you mean 6C, which is an overhead and takes off a primer. It's actually quite safe on block and its startup and ending can be wolf-cancelled, so be wary about jabbing him out of it. Generally, though, it's slow and fairly easy to see coming.
  4. Nah, I know the combo (it's listed, anyways). I'm just asking if it's midscreen-specific / you can only do 2 reps of [2A 2C 5C 236A]. If you can do more...that's pretty ridiculous damage right there. And yes, it's a fatal.
  5. So is [2A > 2C > C > 236A] xN a loop off fatal? Without fatal? It's grounded, so can you get a third rep (no dealing with untech time)? The nico vid (@2:11) showed it being doable twice, but it wasn't clear about enders. Valk seems to prorate well in general (looking at frame data), so if that loops more...kind of silly. He's looking like he can get amazing reward off a lot of his moves - some of his light combo starters still seem pretty solid.
  6. 10:25ish in the vs Makoto match, his 5c knocks her out of her 3c. Especially since it looks like it should whiff, the more you know...
  7. Never quite understood why they cut so much mobility from a high-mobility zoner like Nu/Lambda. If she gets her jcs back, even at the cost of a worse Calamity Sword (if it's still works at all as a reversal, I'm good.), she'll both be differentiated from Hazama much better (who is getting mobility nerfs in a slower Ouroboros gauge recovery) and be scarier at midrange. I like the idea of Rachel as a setup zoner, Lambda as high mobility with some screen control, and Hazama with riskier zoning that sets up for his respectable melee. This also means that with j214d~c she can do something after most of her stuff; my biggest complaint with her in CS other than her depressing mixup is that swords in general just keep you stuck in place for so long. Similar sword speeds with much shorter recovery after jc is beautiful, both for mindgames and midrange pressure on approach. Would like 236d(~c) tweaks to make it more useful, but hell - if swords are better, this should be fun. As long as we don't get another Nu (which it doesn't look like so far).
  8. So, this has been bugging me - CS gets a decent number more timeouts in general than CT. With what seem like damage reductions to the high and top tiers and general nerfs to several chars across the board...I wonder if those'll be even more prevalent. I hope not. The game engine hasn't fundamentally changed, right? Hoping things are made faster, but there don't seem to be any vids or other ways to check.
  9. Opponents are terrified of Goro's 6D. Seriously, he just throws them out there and doesn't get punished for it because they might be 5D and if you dash into 5D you eat some nice damage if he has meter, and free damage / pushback if not. He's not the most fun to watch (that G earlier in the thread, with the hyper-aggressive Lambda, was hella fun) but god damn does he know how to zone well.
  10. Unless the program is the vocaloid! Ah-ha! Anyhow, tried something earlier today - converted a 5-second clip of someone (Minori?) looping Lambda's 6a 214d to mp3, put it on endless loop while I was at the gym. Surprisingly relaxing to listen to Noel complaining about being hit. And honestly? I think it helped my timing a bit, considering after a few minutes I got an extra rep pretty reliably. Unfortunately, I doubt that will continue (if 2 hours of listening to combo sounds = extra rep of a loop ad infinitum..interesting grinding system?) indefinitely...still handy, though.
  11. The secret is to listen to Blue Oyster Cult. Seriously. It helps.
  12. ...Seconded. Would also be an amusing splitscreen combo video.
  13. ... I just realized that it might be possible to map a combo into the Stepmania rhythm editor if you're just using A, B, C, and D. Unfortunately, that requires the pirated version. I think that would be the biggest issue you'd run into.
  14. Goryus play from BBCS quals: Will add more later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePim-wKOdaA vs Jin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NApwhMOEGBM vs Bang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHboRUDckOg vs Carl
  15. Oh, and for the record - 632146D can't punish any of Hakumen's C moves except possibly 3C unless you time it so it goes off right when the hitbox is no longer active. Auto-black-holed. Boo...
  16. On a random note his curse meter time goes down during the minigame of 236236D / 632146D, but slower. Blodia Punch is notable because in my bit of testing I think I chopped quite a bit (25%?) off during the animation on lv 3 due to how long it is. For some reason, one time that I tried it it seemed to drain more the closer to full curse meter was. Not terribly useful, but handy just in case. Parry loop is pretty time-consuming, so an Arakune in frenzy mode that gets hit by a hitconfirm...gonna lose a fair bit of curse meter. Though, good luck getting in that hit.
  17. Hazama can easily 214D~C on reaction to 3C (since 3C is friggin' slow) and catch you into a ch combo with blue-charged C followup, so that's generally a dangerous plan. At least, I learned quickly not to do it. Main problem? Hazama can turtle much better than Makoto can, since he has chains. Sure the ball can beat them out, but considering he can feint and has much better approaches, and the fact that all Makoto's approaches are beat clean by Jayoku (and most other stuff he can do...).
  18. Started to get a good feel for Lambda's tk loop, though I still botch it at the stupidest times. I will be forever free. Also, Makoto is goddamned fun to play. I wonder if CTF will ever get her and Mu installed...
  19. I'll be there, being free. Just trying to get a feel for the NYC competition, maybe trying out Makoto beforehand and playing her in casuals (Lambda main here), that sort of thing.
  20. That's the kind of thing I would ask but no, I don't remember doing so... Also wtf, where was the Guilty? I was looking for it to get some mashing in but didn't see it. You were playing CA/LA? If so, then no - I don't remember playing any Carls I don't think, and no other Lambdas. Maybe one on Friday, but only for one round. Also, stuck to the Horis though I was carrying around my TE in a backpack .
  21. Good games to anyone I played in bb - played mostly Lambda (red/black color) and a bit of Tager (pink color), was there for an hour or two all three days. Didn't get to enter the tourney though...shame.
  22. So, apparently part of my execution was replaced with rabid monkeys between CT and CS. What's the best timing to finish AC AC whiff 6b 2c AC Bsledge Gadget (it's in challenge mode, looked at the CPU but still not quite sure)? Everything is going fine, and then they tech out right before they hit the ground so no gadget.
  23. I'll be there, will probably be in the games room a lot (if they have BBCS on a 360 somewhere - and I'll probably be floating around with me 360 copy just because it's easy to carry and I can actually use my stick on that) playing CS. That is, when I'm not helping my school's anime club run Gameshow.
  24. Blah, city decided train's ain't running around here over the weekend, no idea why. It's idiotic. Still wondering - anyone know a place in NYC where I can get my TE (360) triple-modded (PS3 + PS2 support, anything else is just a bonus)? Someone offered to do it for $70 + parts but people in #blazblue were saying they've seen it done for much cheaper so idk. I'd rather not lose a button, so I'm hesitant to do much with RJ45 stuff.
  25. Vaguely what Zarithan said. Nu is still rage. xbl: AndarelR
